You mull over the choices you are given through it does not take you very long. You can not abide by a pact with uncertain consequences and terms if it could potentially stifle your ambition. As the girls wait patiently a smirk crosses your lips. You offer a cheeky little half-wave to Mishiko that surprises her before stuffing your hands into the jacket pockets of your uniform.
"Sorry, my dear. You are too pushy and creepy for me to want anything to do with you." You spoke in a tone that conveyed far more confidence that she thought you should have, considering the fox spirits still hanging off of you. You turned up your nose at her.
"Let this be a lesson to you; you can't just flaunt those udders at people and expect to get your way." Your grin widened as he exhaled sharply through your nose, turning. As you faced the exit to the large, open room you passed a glance towards Asuka.
"I wanna help Finn out just as much as you. Believe it or not, I was kinda forced into this body."
She cocked her head to one side sceptically. "What?"
You nodded in affirmation. "If you're curious you can come find me without your pervy auntie."
Asuka stared back at you firmly. "My Aunt she's-" she hazarded a glance in Mishiko's direction, only to see that the woman was sitting there stunned, holding her ample breasts in her hand, in shock that they did not work as a tantalising enough offering. She shut her eyes and relaxed her aggressive posture.
"I understand. I'm really sorry. Please don't hold it against her. She's always talked only about protecting against EVIL spirits ever since my Sis and I were adopted. If you aren't an evil spirit then it's not fair to restrain you."
You looked upon her a bit more approvingly. "That!" You pointed.
"Eh?" Asuka motioned to herself.
"What?"
"You have earned a single Djir Point."
She leaned forward as if trying to get closer to listen. She furrowed her crimson brows. "I'm sorry?"
You threw your head back and laughed. "You'll learn more about what that can get you if you continue to curry my favour. Now, I better get going." You begin walking.
"Hold it!" Mishiko stands suddenly.
"I still hold the cards here. You can't just leave!"
You shrug. "Let's see if that's true." You shut your eyes for a moment, waiting.
`Now's the time, Fin.` As you thought that the fox spirits fell off of you and dissipated, reappearing around their Mistress.
Mishiko was aghast. "H-how? This doesn't make any sense..." She began to fret over her spirits, kneeling beside them.
"What's wrong, sweeties? Come on... Why won't you listen to me?"
You smirked slyly, continuing to walk. Mishiko again stood up, rushing in front of you to block your path.
"You're still powerless! I can stop you physically. I know that, now."
You turned around, ignoring Mishiko to address Asuka. "I am aware that there is a number to call when a pervert is harassing you. Just to confirm, what is it?" You brought your phone out of your pocket and fiddled with entering the code that you learned.
Mishiko's face became flushed. She covered it with her hands out of embarrassment and begged. Asuka seemed to be going with the flow. She shared similar frustration with her aunt at the moment, so she walked up beside you and pointed.
"It's 911. Kidnapping, imprisonment, Battery and sexual harassment. I'll turn myself in, too." She smiled, lifting a lecturing finger.
"But! I'll definitely get off easy by testifying against my aunt."
"D-don't do that! I don't want to go to Jail..." The woman whined. She stepped aside, out of the way of the exit. Mishiko bowed her head deeply with her hands connecting in front of her.
"Thank you for visiting our Temple."
You nodded, stuffing the phone back into your pocket. You smiled warmly at Asuka. "Guess I'm free to go. No hard feelings, ladies." You paused, adding under your breath.
"For now." As you left you noticed the sister you did not know the name of sweeping outside. She was a bit taller and more filled out than Asuka. She had her eyes closed and was listening to music so you stopped and she passed right by you. You continued walking. Eventually as you reached the steps Asuka caught up to you.
"What's up?" You asked her over your shoulder, beginning your descent down the steps. She followed.
"I want to know what you're doing to help Finn and... Why."
"I can answer but that'll cost a Djir point."
She paused, then shook her head and continued. "Fine, whatever. Spent. Tell me."
"Alright. My Soul mixed with his. I lost a lot of my old body so now only hints of me are present, My prior form was big! And Tall!" You held out your arms to show her as you raised your voice.
"So, I'm not used to being small and weak. I lost my abilities and my strength."
"That doesn't answer my-"
"Look, I'm just establishing right now that I wouldn't be in Finn if I had a choice." You suddenly smirked at your wording, rubbed your chin and muttered to yourself.
"Though I wouldn't mind being 'in' Finn if it was the old me..."
"What was that?" She asked, leaning in to hear.
"Nothing! I was saying that I wanna get Finn back in control of this body as much as you, but I also wanna make sure i can get a few things sorted out first. I obviously don't want to disappear or be bound to someone." You thought of mentioning Fin, but thought better of it.
"By the way, what's all that stuff about a Demon King? Where'd you get that info from?"
Asuka looked at you, then put on a coy smirk. "That'll cost one Djir point. Whatever that is... Is your real name Djir? Should I call you that?"
You stared straight ahead, down the steps. Your head lowered. "Just call me Finn. I'm supposed to be pretending, anyway." You didn't want to admit it, but hearing Asuka say your name triggered feelings that must have ranked pretty high in Finn's psyche. It was complicated for you, especially because you were someone that followed your own feelings relentlessly. With Finn's and yours muddled, you were pulled in strange directions.
Asuka smiled. "Sure thing, Finn."
You blushed, looking away from her to hide it. "Alright. The Djir point is yours."
"Great. I'm not super knowledgeable."
"Then you're a scammer." You remarked calmly.
"I'm not saying I don't know anything. From what I understand, in the time of my Grandmother, who is my Mother's and Aunt's Mother, she contracted a powerful fox spirit that became the God of our old temple. Her power was used to aid the wards and talismans at the time, and she also brought more spirits about with her presence. That being said... I didn't believe a whole lot of that until I saw you."
"Out of curiosity, what do I look like to you?"
Asuke stared. "I see a vague, reddish black and orange aura around you. Subtle. They almost seem to form ears and a tail, but it's too blurry. The Aura of you is a bit taller, as well..."
"That makes sense. Okay. Continue. A fox spirit?"
"She was supposedly a thousand years old and in her words, the Demon King was her Father. She escaped his kingdom in the Demon Realm and found her way here over centuries living and thriving as a Spirit. Her name before arriving here was Inari, but as she adopted a new homeland she took the second name 'Okami.'
"Urk-" You choked a little.
"You know of her, right? Of course you would if the former Demon King was your father." Asuka guessed.
"Well..." You began to sweat, thinking back.
`I wonder if Fin's listening to this...`
`I... Uh... Yeah, I am.` He sounded guilty. As your thoughts flushed into your brain with no way of stopping them, they triggered your own nervousness.
`Wait...` You gulped.
`Djir?`
`Fin?`
`Why are you so nervous?`
