They were just starting to finish the meal when all three of his companions sat up. "Shit, this is bad," Ella said.

"Yes, I am feeling two heading this way, not with good intentions. They have a great deal of power," Tygan said. "Against one of them you'd have a chance, not both. What?" Tygan turned skyward. "Dear goddess a Dragon." She looked at Dan and the twins, "Where in the name of the goddess are you from?

Dan just shook his head, what in the hell had he done now? Back home, he was considered a nerd, he liked D & D, RPGs, fantasy video games, he wasn't a witch or warlock. He wasn't a mage or a wizard.

He looked at himself, 'til he came here he had been a scrawny thing. Now? He was damn near buffed, especially with the washboard abs.

He looked at his traveling companions, the twins were as sexy as hell. The Light Elf, though not the most beautiful, was a hell of a lot closer to it than not.

Though not as well-endowed as the twins, she was still bigger than they were before their growth. The Elf's stark white hair was a stark difference to the twins' golden blonde hair.

"I can't really tell you," Dan said. "Even if I knew where that was, I couldn't tell you."

"Can I read you?" Tygan asked.

"Perhaps later for now, we have three enemies heading our way," Dan said.

"Shit! The closer they get, the stronger they appear to be," Ella gasped.

"I'm not really ready to die here. There has to be some way to get out of this," Bell said.

Still somewhat panicked, Dan started to go through everything that happened. He wished that he could move them the way that the Dark Elf woman had.

Dan's mouth dropped open as a huge area of darkness appeared behind the three females. It not only appeared but reached out to all of them, wrapping them then closing.

En'tra was almost upon them when she felt the Shadow Step appear. Hurrying, she caught the spell as it closed her eyes wide in disbelief.

Across the clearing, the Elf assassin's eyes were also wide in disbelief. That was a dark magic spell, that's when she saw the Dark Elf.

In a deep raspy voice she pointed at En'tra, "You will die for robbing me of my quarry."

"Me?" En'tra hissed back. "I have done no magic, without proof Elf bitch, that is a death sentence."

Both had glowing hands pointed at each other when a huge shadow drifted over them. Both females' mouths dropped open shit, a dragon!

Gre'ta landed seeing the Light and Dark Elf about to start slinging spells. They were staring at her with shock and a bit of fear in their eyes.

"Where is the target? I have been tracking it for hours," Gre'ta asked.

Both the Elves pointed at each other, still not saying a word.

Gre'ta sighed, "Do either of you know anything about it?"

"I might though, that is privileged information," En'tra said with a smirk.

Gre'ta bristled, then mantled at the Dark Elf, "Don't piss me off nor waste my time. Even Dark Elfs are not that stupid."

En'tra was angry for a moment, then sighed, "He is a human traveling with two blonde, twin witches and a Light Elf. I have actually seen him use three powers at a strong mage level."

Gre'ta and the assassin's eyes went wide. Three powers! Were the legends of humans true?

"What powers has he displayed so far," Gre'ta said, her eyes narrowed. If this was true, then the whole world was in danger.

"From what I saw before, he had fire, water and now darkness, the last is new. I saw his shadow step close as I arrived. I fear if he has that as strong as it appeared, he may have shadow death also," En'tra said.

Both the other females gasped then hissed, shadow death was a forbidden spell.

"Might I suggest that we advise our leaders before we proceed," Gre'ta said as all three nodded and turned and moved away from each other.

As all three cringed after a good amount of hissing and shouting. The info and who else was after them, all but the king wanted the four captured. The king was shocked that the human had at least three powers, his face hardened as his words hissed, "Kill them!"

"I am the best, even I might not be able to kill a three caster. Especially if he has Shadow Death," the assassin said.

"I don't care! I want him dead! He is the biggest threat to this world in over five centuries. Kill him or do not return, am I understood?" the king growled.

The assassin bowed low, "I will do all that I can sire."

All three met back in the clearing, each with a determined look on their faces. Gre'ta nodded to the others as she took fight.

They all had their powers activated as they started to hunt for the four.

Dan came out of the shadows stumbling. Where in the hell were they, he thought. Wait, this looked very familiar.

Dan looked around at the rocky terrain, damn if this didn't look like near Anna's home. Dan shook his head as they started to move away as fast as they could.

At least they were safer for now though; a dragon? What the hell had he gotten himself and his friends?

Plus, he had power? What the hell? That was all well and good if he knew how to use them. A thought crossed his thoughts: Could it work? Ok, here goes. I wish I had the knowledge of how to use these powers.

Another thought came to him as he started to yell, "st...," all he got out before the pain hit his head. All three of the females were scared as soon as he fell to his knees, his mouth open in a silent scream.

They tried to help him though he threw them away from him. Tygan leaned close as she heard him muttering the few times he spoke, "to much can't take it all, head hurts."

"Try to hold him still. I am afraid he asked for too much of some type of knowledge," Tygan said as a white beam from her spread out over Dan's head. Dan convulsed and shook a few more moments, then started to breathe easier.

For a few moments, Tygan thought she had failed 'til Dan sighed, then was unconscious.

"I hope I got to him in time. I'm not sure what he asked for, though it could have killed him. I...," she said the keeled over herself unconscious.

"I hope that we are far enough away. Dan was afraid of being too close to that village," Ella said.

Bell was nodding her head in agreement when something came to her. "Uh Ella? Did you look real close at the village? Did it appear somewhat familiar?"

"No, not really though, it did seem as if we'd seen it before. Was it familiar to you? Ella asked. To which Bell just nodded.

They both sat there for a bit, when Ella's face lit up. "My god! That was Anna's village! How in the hell did we get this far back?"

They both turned to stare at Dan. "You don't think it was him, do you? I mean it was a lot like that movement spell En'tra used," Bell said.

Ella shook her head as she sat beside Bell to try and think things over. Dan had obviously saved their asses. She sighed even after they had been so shitty to him.

She was afraid that their actions had forever driven a wedge between them. She hoped that they could reclaim it, but the attempted killing was a moot point.

Unfortunately, they had, had no choice, though they were a bit hasty. They weren't on Earth, so the rules of the coven shouldn't really have been in place. Her damn coven leader was a stickler for her rules.

She hoped that he was ok, according to Tygan, he might be in trouble. Yeah, Ella thought she was still a little guilty about the whole thing.

Not too long after, they both heard a groan from Tygan. For a moment she was disoriented, then looked over to Dan. She quickly moved to him, checking to make sure he was OK.

For a moment she was worried, then her face dropped in relief. "It appears that he's OK. I was afraid that he was hurt worse than I thought. He was mumbling, I had thought he was under mental attack."

"How in the hell can you tell," Ella started, then put her hand up. "Never mind, I am guessing it's one of your powers."

"Yes, I have healing energy though, elucidation is a new use I recently learned. I am a student of white magic. I hope I am strong enough to have truly helped him," Tygan said.

"I hope he's ok, after my sister and I tried to kill him, I'm afraid that he will never forgive us. You see he and my sister and I have been friends for a long time. You might say we were each other's friends. We were considered strange, though Dan never acted like that. He was a loner," Ella said.

"A loner? One wouldn't guess that the way he has been. Perhaps his being here has given him more confidence?" Tygan said.

"I'm not sure, he does seem more forceful than before. I for one, find it a hell of a lot sexy," Ella said.

"Sexy? What is this term you are using?" A confused Tygan said.

"Hmmm, how to explain this?" Ella thought outloud. "It means he is far more attractive to me and my sister. Does that help?"

"Somewhat though, I had thought that both of you wanted him in the first place. After all, you both came after him, true?" Tygan asked.

"Well, that," Ella started when they heard Dan groan.

All three females were immediately beside Dan. He looked up, seeing three faces that appeared to be extremely worried.

The next strange thing he noticed was he was seeing a list about all them.

Ella - Fire Bell - water Tygan - Light

---------------------------------------------------------------

Fire Water Light Pulse

Flame wave Water Wave Healing

Flame tornado Water Flood Elucidation (Mind Healing)

Dan shook his head what the hell was that? He shook his head again, pain hitting him, this was like in an RPG game.

Then another series of lines came up as he saw that he had all their abilities, plus a fourth.

Dan

-------------

Fire l Water l Light Pulse l Shadow Step

Flame wave l Water Wave l Healing l Shadow Blind (Impenetrable Darkness)

Flame tornado l Water Flood l Elucidation l Shadow death

Dan already had a hand to his head as it was throbbing more than it should be. "Oh shit," Dan said as he almost fell over. "Guess I'm not as ready as I thought I was."

"Do you need me to stabilize you more?" Tygan said, a look of worry on her face.

"No, I am just wondering why I have four magic aspects," Dan said.

"Four!" All three females said in shock.

"Yeah," Dan said. "I have fire the same as Bella, Water like Bell, Light like Tygan and the fourth is Dark. Not really sure how I got that. The knowledge of all four was a bitch cause, I asked for all the first three at once stupid, I know. I realized it too late, then I was a mass of useless flesh."

"Hmmm," Tygan said as soon as the words left his mouth. "This is the first time you have ever had anything like my abilities? "

"What, do you think you have an idea why?" Dan asked.

"Perhaps there were stories about an Archmage centuries ago that could use all twelve aspects of magic. We have always thought this to be just that, a story. Also, he was a human that fought against the Elf king," Tygan said, shaking her head.

"What the hell!?" Bell said. "That's impossible the sheer amount of power alone would kill a human. An Archmage you say?" Bell stopped trying to remember something. She then shook her head no.

"Alright, what are you trying to remember?" Ella said to her sister.

"There's a story that in the 1400's to the late 1500's that there was a sudden influx of people. They were centered in Europe and Asia. There's never been any proof of it, especially with the advent of the industrial revolution," Bell said.

Dan was looking back and forth between the three females. What they were saying was that he might be like this dead Archmage from long ago?

A feeling of gloom and doom started to pass over him. Plus, they were talking about twelve aspects of magic. That he could die? He suddenly wasn't feeling all that good.

"Dan?" Ella asked. "Did you know that we were near Anna's village?" Ella had seen the panic that was on his face trying to distract him.

"Yeah I did, that's why I wanted us to get away from there. It was what I was thinking of when we shadow stepped. I remembered how upset she was when we left. Actually, it had really upset her, like with Danea. I mean they said I saved them, and here I felt that I had been sluffed off," Dan said a little depressed.

"Well, it was a good thing after all, the ones that are after us are very powerful. A hell of a lot more than they felt," Ella said.

"Speaking of that, are any of you feeling them? I am not really in the mood to try and fight them. I am just wondering why in the hell I have been targeted," a worried Dan said.

"The fact that you are a human might explain the actions of the Elf king. The Dark Elfs might be because you fired a blast at their mountain. As for the Dragons? Who knows they don't interfere in the happenings of the rest of the world? Well, not that often that is," Tygan said.

"What!? Why are they after me because I am a human?" An exasperated Dan said.

"Well, the Elf king drove the last of the humans off this world over five centuries ago. No one really knows why he suddenly has deep-seated hatred towards humans. Plus, I believe that the Archmage human injured him beyond any other's ability to heal him," Tygan said.

"The Dark Elfs are that territorial, that they attack any action against the mountain above them? What could they tell who it was?" Ella asked.

"Most certainly, all Elfs have been advised that any human they meet is an evil entity that needs to be destroyed. I, I am afraid, thought that when you first appeared, for that I apologize," Tygan said as she bowed to Dan.

Dan waved a hand, dismissing her need to apologize. "So, what of the Dragons? Just why in the hell are they after me?" Dan asked.

Tygan started to shake her head, then her eyes went wide. "It might have to do with the fact that you used Shadow Death. That would attract the notice of the Dragons, they are very powerful though they fear the spell also. They must want the caster to make sure it isn't used again."

Dan shook his head carefully here he'd been trying to not stand out. Now he found out that what he had done was like a beacon shining out in total darkness.

When he was on Earth he had been unnoticeable, what he wouldn't give to have that back. Then he looked at the gorgeous females that were around him. He guessed that there were a few perks to his new body, powers and attitude.

Still he wondered, what in the hell was the reason he was here? The mysterious pull he felt and his being hunted by three different races.

A sudden idea came to him as all four of them were enveloped by the nearest shadows. They exited at the spot where he and the twins had entered the world. Nodding, Dan reached into his pocket and pulled the doorknob out.

He turned away from his companions and held the knob up. He felt it click into place, and with a smile he tried to turn it. When it didn't move, he suddenly received a message.

What? Dan thought as he read the message. The escape item is inactive at the present time. You have a great many unfinished quests, before the item is usable.

Dan tried, he really tried his best to not lose his temper though, but he felt it slipping more and more. He kept his back to the three females as his hands started to glow bright red.

Finally, a few minutes later, he held up an extremely glowing red hand to keep them away. Finally, he took a breath, pointed his hands away from himself, as the energy released.

Dan's eyes became huge as everything that was before him, spreading out over twenty feet, was incinerated. Everything in front of him for what appeared to be at least a mile was gone.

Then there was the fact that both his hands were smoking. All three of the females' mouths were open during the destruction.

"Is this the one power that you have used the most?" Tygan asked.

Dan was nodding as he received another message. {you have now earned the spell incinerate.} Ah, damn, I don't think I like that. It is a high heat spell.

"I received a message that I gained incinerate, shit. I am going to have to set them. I don't want to hurt you if, I accidently release them toward you, wait I know," he said.

"Be careful," Tygan advised, "remember last time."

Dan nodded, "Yeah, I don't want to take another forced nap," he half chuckled.

The three females giggled a bit, then were quiet. Dan sighed as he thought, I wish for complete control. Almost immediately, Dan thought he heard a clang, then tightness in his head and chest.

Dan looked at Tygan. "I wished for complete control, now I am feeling a tightness in my chest and mind. Did I want too much?"

"Hmmm, no one has complete control. Maybe almost complete control? Complete control might put a restriction on your magic," Tygan said.

So, Dan thought about it again. I want almost complete control. This actually lessened the tightness Dan was feeling, damn that felt better.

All three of the females' eyes went wide like before. "I think that they felt that. I can feel all of them starting to close in on us," Tygan said.

"Yeah, I am feeling a lot of anxiety from at least two of them. They must think that you are an even bigger danger as fast as they are moving," Ella said.

Shit Dan thought, as he was about to move them again. As soon as they were released from the shadows, they noticed they were close to Danea's village. Dan thought he might not want to use any magic for a while.

They might stop pursuing them if he did. Dan sighed as he thought the way they were going, they'd never stop.

He'd never been as hated as he felt he was now. Really, he was a nobody back home, he hadn't asked for this, had he?

"Let's get further away from here, I don't want to put Danea or her village in danger," Dan said.

They were almost an eighth of a kilometer away when they encountered a Felych {Feline Lycan} hunting party.

After a bit of shouting, the leader of the party looked Dan up and down. "You don't appear to be such a fierce warrior as she said."

That was when Dan's hands started to glow. Dan was growling at the male.

"We don't want any trouble with you nor the village. I suggest," Dan started as several of the party raised spears.

"PAPA!" a shrill voice sounded behind them. The male Felych, sighed as a female cat woman bounded out of the forest from the village.

She stopped suddenly as she took in the situation, then stared at Dan as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Dan? I thought that you had gone?" She said as she saw Dan's hands slightly glowing. "Please Dan, please don't kill my father."

Dan's eyes went wide as he stared back at the older cat man. "Father? Oh shit!" Dan almost shouted as his hands returned to normal.

The twins and Tygan rolled their eyes, as did Danea's father. "So, you are the one that saved her. This is nothing that we have ever heard of humans, you are the first I have ever met," the older male, cat man said. He nodded, then turned to those behind him, nodded then they all moved past toward their village.

As soon as they were gone, Danea squealed and threw herself into Dan's arms. "Your power seems to have increased," Tygan said. "As it appears, the rest of ours."

"Yes, I noticed that mine has almost doubled since you returned me home. It appears that my power has made the harvest far larger and faster. They are already working on a second in only a week," Danea said.

Dan was staring at his three companions, then at Danea. Could his mere presence have caused this? He wasn't sure and didn't know if he'd have the time to find out.

"I'm not sure if it was because of you, I am still thankful that I met you. I am thankful that you rescued the three of us," Danea said.

Dan was nodding then slightly blushed. "I am also glad that I rescued the three of you. I am a human and yet you accepted me as I am. Your father seems to have also. I seem to be hated by the vast majority of the people here. More than the Orcs and the Goblins it seems," Dan said sadly.
