Dinae leaned close to the pot, bringing a dipper full of broth up. She blew on it for a little while, waiting for it to cool enough to taste without burning her tongue like she has already done once. Cooking was a learning process for the action girl. As she waited, water frothed up around the bones in the boiling pot. They were beginning to show over the top of the water as it evaporated. Dinae tried to think for a second, her ears standing straight up in intrigue.
"Oh, more water. Viv?"
"Coming right up." The elf stood up from the spot she was sitting at patiently and ladled water from the basin that had been collected that day into a pouring jug. Viv walked over and stared into the pot hesitantly.
"How much?"
Dinae held up a finger for her to wait. She closed her eyes and finally sipped a bit of cooled broth from the ladle. Her brows shot up.
"Mm!" Dinae made a pinch measurement with her thumb and forefinger and asked.
"Bit more."
"Okay." Viv poured water in until Dinae told her to stop. She then stepped back and returned to her seat. After a moment she thought for a second.
"Should you be standing like that?" She eyes Dinae's belly.
Dinae shrugged. "People ask that a lot but beastfolk don't have a whole lot of trouble carrying. I'm only really sitting down more around Leam and Dalton, because those two are in their own heads about it, and they're both human so what do they know."
Viv chuckled. "Yeah." She brushed some hair behind her long ears.
"Dalton bent one of my ears once and he looked like he was going to throw up. I had to tell him that they're flexible... They do bend. Humans are so funny, sometimes, but I'm sure you get it worse."
Dinae looked back over her shoulder, dropping the ladle into the pot to leave it alone after dropping the fire just a bit. She turned and pointed to her ears.
"Humans don't read our social cues naturally so it can get confusing. In our family when mom's ears were back we knew she meant business but Leam doesn't naturally know what it means. I guess that makes sense. Humans also think that when our tails wag, it's because we're happy. Sometimes it is, but it has more to do with excitement. If it's tense and my heart's racing my tail wags, too." She sighed.
"All that's just to say that it's a process; being of two kinds."
Viv listened attentively. "Do you know what it is yet?"
Dinae placed a hand over her belly and looked down. "I'm big, so it's either one of my kind, or it's Human twins."
Viv smiled widely. "Which are you hoping for?"
Dinae looked up in thought. "Hmm. I think..." She tilted her head to the left and right a few times as she trailed off. After a little bit of that she came to a conclusion.
"For this birth I'd like it to be one of my kin. Boy or girl doesn't matter. For Leam's I want it to be human so he can see himself more easily."
"Huh... I guess that makes sense." Viv thought to address the elephant in the room.
"So, like... How does this all work? Do you think Leam will love Dalton's kid and vice versa?"
"I think so, yeah. For me and Leam, the relationship is the two of us together. If it's not me and him then there isn't really a relationship. Does that make sense?"
Viv shook her head. "No."
"Oh..." Dinae thought of how to explain.
"Well... Consider this. If it was me and Dalton with no Leam, I don't actually think we'd be together with all that much passion. We might still have kids but I probably wouldn't think about it all that much. I'd just be one of those people that does it to do it. But, with Leam, I'm actually pretty happy to be with Dalton, and very happy to be with Leam. It's like when i'm with Leam I'm able to like other things more because he likes them and I love him."
Viv stared at her in amazement. "Woah. That's crazy. Leam's that good?"
Dinae smiled. "For me. Do you like Dalton? What about me and Leam?"
Viv blushed and averted her gaze. "Uhm... It was hot when-"
Dinae shook her head. "I don't mean what you enjoy. I enjoy Dalton, but I explained how that'd go."
Viv sighed. "Okay okay." She thought about it as Dinae wandered back over to the pot.
"I think that... I don't really like you two all that much. Actually... I'm kind of creeped out by Leam and you're someone that I wouldn't get along with, normally." She leaned back.
"That being said... Being with Dalton, and seeing you guys through him... That makes it better. So, when I'm with him I can see you guys in a better light and I can... Become a type of person that I normally wouldn't be." She explained awkwardly.
Dinae chuckled. "Oh, yeah? That type of person... Would it happen to be you cumming several times with your own hand by just watching me and Leam go at it?" She asked playfully. As Dinae turned to the pot she head Viv say something in a quite erotic tone that made her stop.
"Yeah..." She turned back to see Viv sitting in a closed posture, hands stuck tight between her clenched thighs. Dinae looked into the pot and turned the fire down by quite a bit more before stepping away.
She bent down, looking over Viv. She lifted the elf's chin, turning her cheek left and right. Surprisingly, Viv just accepted the treatment.
"You don't like me?"
