Come on, how could he not choose C̴͔̅ŏ̷̲ņ̸͆s̷̏͜ö̸͉́l̴̩̇e̷̜̚ ̵̟̕Ä̷̦́ç̷͂c̶̟͘e̵̡̍s̷̰̓s̵͙͝? It's clearly bugged. If Jason is going to get isekai'd, he might as well go all in. he's probably fucked no matter what, so if the ability is good, then he's given himself a leg up. And if it's bad... well, like he figured, he was probably fucked anyway.

The terrifying mass of tentacles and wings that could only be described as a biblically accurate angel accepted his choice and slowly floated away. As it faded into the distance, everything started to go black. Should he have picked something else? Shapeshifter was a cool idea, lots of fun things to do with that. Telepathy? Telekinesis? There were a lot of other cool options and Jason was starting to get buyers' remorse. He hadn't been on a time limit, had he? It seems like he just panicked. He wondered if he should have taken more time to decide, or to maybe ask questions. Easier to think that now though, as the creature floated off, but Jason is pretty sure he didn't have it in him to ask questions while directly in the creature's terrifying presence.

Well, maybe I'll get a third chance if I fuck this one up. He thought to himself. Probably not though. Hell, how likely was even getting a second chance? He didn't even know why he was getting a second chance. Oh well, fuck it. Time to see how this plays out.

----------

Jason's mind was cloudy as he came to. Had it been a dream? Well, probably not, otherwise he wouldn't be waking up in... what is this, some kind of cave? Looking around he could see it didn't go any deeper underground, and the small entrance couldn't be more than thirty feet in front of him.

He didn't have much time to think or get his bearings before a shadow passed in front of the entrance. He froze, uncertain what to do. Another shadow moved by outside. Shit, was that the same thing, or a new thing? A third shadow went by, and then a fourth Finally, at the fifth shadow he heard something.

It was certainly the sound of something speaking, but he couldn't make out the words. In moments, the shadows passing by outside were no longer shadows, but the outlines of several bipedal creatures at the entrance to the cave.

There was nothing to hide behind, nowhere to go. Jason was stuck just lying there in the middle of the tunnel, hoping they didn't see him.

Of course, they spotted him instantly. He knew this because they started shouting, and he could see several spears being leveled at him.

When the shouting didn't stop he figured just laying down wasn't what they wanted, so he decided it was time to say something.

"Hello." he said. "I'm sorry, but I don't understand you."

That was clearly not expected because after a moment of silence the shouting began again. Well, time to try something else then. How about standing up?

As Jason slowly brought himself to his feet the shouting stopped. It was at this point he realized two things. First, he was significantly taller than the other beings, more than twice their height. Second, he was nude. Well, of course he was. Bringing his clothes with him to a new life would have been too much to hope for, certainly.

It was quite dark in the cave, so he couldn't tell if it was his height or his nudity that caused them to become quiet, but they all stood there for several seconds. Finally, Jason chose to break the stalemate and slowly took a step forward. It's not like he had anywhere else to go.

Slowly, step by step, he made his way towards the entrance. One of the creatures came out of their stupor and backed up, prompting the others to move as well. They kept their spears leveled at him and kept their distance.

He finally made his way up to the entrance and got his first good look at the creatures now that all of them were in the sunlight. And Jason smiled. A big dopey grin crawled across his face.

If I could just keep myself alive, he thought, there was probably a lot of fun to be had here. He was sure of it. After all, how bad could this place be if the first thing that happened to him is he comes across a group of cute little goblin girls?

----------

Anis didn't recognize the creature. He wasn't an orc or elf or anything else she knew of. It was clearly a "he" though. Absolutely no mistaking that. Why he was naked and laying down in a cave was still a mystery though. She hadn't understood the words he had spoken earlier, but they were clearly words, so this wasn't some kind of wild creature.

Now she has to figure out what to do with it. Him. What to do with him. He doesn't seem dangerous. Never can tell with strangers though. Ah, fuck it, she can't just leave him out here naked in the wilderness. The leadership will want to see this new being in their territory. They were about to head back to camp anyway, might as well bring him along now.

"Alright girls, we're gonna bring him with us. Nene, give him something to cover up with. Once he does that, bind his hands. Everyone else, keep your spears on him until he's secure."

"Yes Anis," says Nene. She puts her spear down and takes off her backpack. Reaching inside she pulls out a blanket. The creature is watching her, and Nene makes a throwing gesture. He holds out his arms and Nene under hands the blanket to him. It isn't much, but he ties it around his waist and it does enough to cover him up. The admittedly small traveling blanket wasn't much more than a skirt when wrapped around him.

"Alright, be ready for trouble. Now his hands." Anis orders. Nene pulls out a small length of rope and looks at Anis nervously. Anis nods and Nene looks back at the creature. She makes a step forward and he makes a step back. Anis tenses, and she can tell everyone else does too. "Okay Nene, leave him be. Go get the others, bring the whole camp. Hurry."

Nene takes a few slow steps back, then runs away. The smile on the creature's face, that had vanished the moment Nene tried to rope him, now grew into a deep frown. He clearly didn't like Nene leaving, but he wasn't willing to do anything about it while there were four spears pointed at him. He might have been massive compared to the goblins, but he was also unarmed and unarmored. Anis figured he could probably fight them all, and even win if he wanted to, but unless he was very, very fast he couldn't do so without taking at least a few jabs from their spears.

After only a few tense minutes Nene returns with the rest of the goblin camp. With twenty goblins now surrounding the creature Anis is more confident she can get him to do what she wants.

Yeah, I figured they were getting reinforcements Jason thought. Not much he could do about it though. On the one hand, there are now twenty goblins pointing spears at him. Well, okay, nineteen, since one of them is clearly about to try and rope to him again. That isn't great. On the other hand, though, he now has twenty cute goblin girls to work with. He's sure at least one of them... oh man, the one with the rope is getting insistent, and the only other one who he had heard speak was starting to sound angry. He doesn't think he really has much in the way of options so fuck it, captured it is.

Jason holds out his hands, wrists together, and allows the one with the rope to approach. She cautiously ties his hands together then backs away, still holding the lead. The one that he can only assume is the leader says some things, and everyone turns to leave. Jason is flanked by goblins, and several more are behind me. As the lead runs out, he chooses to follow along. Not much of a choice really, but he figures he could be stubborn and let himself get stabbed a few times. Nah, better to follow along, that's a much better idea.

Jason uses this time while they walk to make some observations. The area appears to be forested. Mostly trees, a few other ferns and shrubs, but it's mostly just trees, which makes for an easy time to get through the terrain.

More interesting though, are the goblins. There are several shades of green amongst them, all of them pretty in their own way. He also takes a good look at their spears and clothes. The spears are tipped with a gray metal that he assumes is iron, which is good to know. Their clothing is a bit crude, clearly hand-made, but mostly leather and fur. It is actual clothing though, with some semblance of uniformity between some of them. Some sandals, mostly shoes. Also, now that he looks, some of the clothing is a bit tight. The one holding his leash for example. Her pants are very tight now that he takes a good look. Damn, look at the way her hips-

His thoughts are interrupted by one of the goblins saying something and he looks up from the ass he was staring at. Ahead of them is what looks like a camp near a river. There are a few campfires with meats being smoked, tents, several bundles of furs and pelts from various creatures, though he can't tell what, and a few canoe like boats and rafts.

They lead Jason over to a clear area just outside the camp and... oh man, really? They staked his leash to the ground. The apparent leader gives a few orders and most of the goblins leave and seem to be tearing down the camp, while a few others are left to guard him.

The ones left with him look serious, so he figures it's best to not try any funny business. Jason sits down and takes this time to think. Other than the fact that the only creatures he's seen in this world are goblins, he didn't see any high strangeness. Nothing what seems like magic and no special skill use. Does that mean having a skill is unique? How the hell does he even use C̵͙͝o̵̱͑ǹ̵͔s̶̡͐o̵̤̚ľ̴̦ḙ̵͐ ̷͈͛Ȧ̴̡c̶̦̉c̸̺̚ė̸͇s̷̟͋s̶̹͐? and why does it feel like that every time he thinks about it?

I should figure this out. How do I even access my ability? Do I just think about it and...? Sure enough, a window pops up. Not in his actual vision, but he can certainly perceive... something. Before he even knows what to do information begins to populate in the window. He had been looking at the stake that he was tied to while he was thinking, and information about it flooded his senses. He could see where and when it had been manufactured, its quality, compression and tensile strength, and so much more he was overwhelmed. It was just an iron stake, how much could there be to know about it?

He looked away and information about the grass around him replaced the previous information as his eyes scanned over it. Not just information about that particular blade of grass he happened to be looking at, but about that species of grass. Its taxonomic name, average lifespan, preferred growing conditions. He couldn't track it all. It was too much. He moved his eyes again and his gaze fell onto one of the goblins guarding him. Her name was Throish Hendeckan. She was 27 years old, she had two other sisters and one brother. Her heart rate was elevated, and her blood pressure was high. She was at high risk for skin cancer. And more. So much more. It was too much, he had to turn it off.

With a thought he turned off Ć̵̭o̵̠͋ñ̷̢s̵̘̀o̸̫̐l̷̡̚e̸͈͑ ̷̡̈́A̵̜̓c̴̟̏c̷̟̿ȅ̷̮s̸̊͜s̸͉͘ and his mind cleared. Everything about her, more than he could hope to comprehend, had been presented to him. And "presented" was truly the right word. As he tried to recall details of what he had seen, he could only remember a few things. The information was not being downloaded into his brain. He didn't have access to that information forever, only what he remembered.

And... there was something else he had noticed. It was hard to tell through the confusion of overwhelming information, but he thought there was something else in there. He steels himself, activates Ċ̶͓o̴̧͗n̷͙͝s̴̩̐ò̵̥l̶̝̉e̶͕̎ ̸̣͑A̶͖͠c̸̮͗c̴͍̄e̶̱̿s̸̙̏ș̸̕, and glance at her again.

He turns it off a moment later, having confirmed his suspicion. He grins to himself. He was now certain he had made the right choice. He hadn't seen it the first time, but there, amidst the chaos, had been an input system.

Scroll bars, drop down menus, check boxes, radio buttons... even input fields! Oh yes, he thought, I can work with this. C̷̘̋͐o̵̗̹̽͜ṅ̴̢͉̠̾ŝ̴̹͉̓ȏ̵̱͎̋͊l̷͇̰̫̔̌͘e̸̡̫͛̃ ̶͚̳̿̍Ȃ̷͚͔̭͑ć̸̼̟̰c̵͇͝e̴̡͔͉̅̀s̸̛̺̱̊s̸̝͉̣̈̓ was going to be everything he had hoped for and more.
