Chapter 10
She could feel the warmth of a pair of lips on the back of her neck as a hand moved down to her abdomen and trailed its fingers over her skin. "I think I like this dream...a lot." His voice was no more than a whisper, his touch softer than before. "I've missed you, Brynn...more than you can possibly imagine." The lips were near her ear, but she found herself unable to really see anything. She could only feel him, and hear him.
"Idris?" She whispered softly, and as she felt those arms move around her, she smiled, and curled up a little closer. It felt so comforting to hear his voice again, to feel him. "A dream? Of course it is...Idris, I've missed you too. I need you Idris. I have to have you back with me."
She continued to whisper, keeping her eyes shut, her body relaxed. She was afraid that if she opened her eyes and turned over she would lose him completely. "Shh, it's alright. I know, Sweetheart. I'm fine...I'm alive."
She felt him roll her over onto her back, his face leaning down to her own, pressing his lips against hers for a long moment, his hand moving to her cheek as he kissed her. "And I can't wait until I am back with you."
He moved to kiss her neck, his hands moving to feel her chest, his fingers moving over the material of her clothes. "Mmm...you still smell good. You should stay here a little longer so that our bed smells like you when I get back."
He moved again to kiss her lips and let his tongue slide inside of her mouth. She couldn't believe that he felt so real at that moment, she could hear him as if he were right there whispering to her. But she didn't question it, just enjoyed feeling him, hearing him. "Why do you need the bed to smell like me? You'll have me right here with you when you get back. I'm never going to leave your side, no matter how annoying that makes me." Her hand reached up to feel that hand of his still touching her cheek as she returned the kiss. "Because. What if you need to leave my side, for any reason, ever again? What if you wake up before I do, and when I rouse, you're no longer there?"
He kissed her again, his lips holding firm to her own. He moved to straddle her hips and she could feel his weight pressing against her. He inhaled deeply through his nose and his lips moved down to her neck, nibbling on her skin as they moved up to her ear, chewing gently on her lobe. "What if I just want my ship to smell as wonderful and intoxicating as you do?"
"Then I will make sure that your ship smells..." Her breath caught in her throat as she felt his lips move up her neck to her earlobe. "...just like me. All the time. Oh, Idris...where are you?" His nibbling struck a sensitive part of her neck and she let out a little moan, back arching up into him. Still she kept her eyes shut not wanting the dream to end, not wanting to risk losing this moment. He moaned into her ear. "I'm right here...with you, Sweetie. It's ok...I think I have enough control...that you can open your eyes and see me..." She could feel his hands moving against her sides, his desire to remove her clothing becoming more and more obvious. "But only if you stop asking me silly questions about my well-being...and my current location. It's not important. I'm here, with you...that's what is important."
She could feel something in her mind, the power of his suggestion almost overriding her natural instinct to be curious and ask detailed questions. "Open my eyes? I'm scared to..." But she could feel her own desire starting to bubble beneath the surface. Her need to feel him, all of him, was getting stronger by the second. Her hands moved up feeling down his chest until she felt the bottom of a shirt, and slowly, she moved her fingertips beneath it, sighing at the feeling of his bare flesh right under her hands. And slowly, very slowly, she opened her eyes, praying that they saw him. She was still in their quarters, but something about it...something very elusive, seemed somehow different. Idris was there, but he too seemed...altered in some manner that she was unable to grasp. The shades of his skin, his hair, and his eyes...all seemed...changed, almost unnoticeably. His hair looked darker, his eyes greener, his skin darker...but it was him...he just looked almost imperceptibly different. He smiled, a wide grin that encompassed his face. He bit his lip, that look of desire taking over his expression as he leaned in and kissed her again. He wore a white, sleeveless tunic and leggings that had been cut off just below his knees. He was barefoot. He looked her over, taking in her appearance as his eyes moved from her hips up to her face, back down to her hips, and then up back to her face again. He trembled as he bit his lower lip and stared at her, an unmistakable expression on his face. As soon as she saw him, she let out a happy laugh, a bright smile crossing her face as she reached up to touch his face. The feeling of him almost brought tears to her eyes as she continued to smile happily. "Idris, oh...I love you. You're here."
Laughing, she felt his face, moved her hands down that tunic, searching for the bare skin yet again. She was wearing what she had been before they boarded the Avenger, her clothing from when they first met. Black pants, and a grey, short-sleeved shirt. Her hair was tangled from lack of care, but she had managed to keep it tame enough. She could feel his trembling, and her own body began to respond. Smiling up at him, she leaned up, pressing her lips hard against his. He smiled at her, leaning his forehead against her own as she spoke. He nodded slowly, leaning in to meet her as she went to kiss him again. His hands wasted no time, moving up underneath her shirt, pushing up towards her head. He broke the kiss and helped her lift her arms, taking the clothing and discarding it on the floor. He leaned in and kissed her again, moaning against her lips. He moved to her neck, moving up to her ear again. "I've miss you so much, Brynn. It doesn't feel like weeks for me, it feels like years. I am so glad I was able to find you. I love you, more than I have ever loved another human ever in my entire existence."
He nibbled on her ear a little and moved down to her neck, gently letting his teeth rake over her skin as he kissed her. She got rid of her shirt as quickly possible, settling back down under him groaning as he spoke into her ear. "I've needed you so much, Idris. Needed to feel you, hear you...I love you...more than anything. You mean everything to me."
Moaning softly as his teeth gently raked over her skin, she feverishly grabbed at his tunic, beginning to pull it up and over his head. Her entire body felt hot with desire, and as soon as his shirt was gone, her hands moved down his now bare chest. She moved again to press her lips against his, tongue pressing it way between his lips into his mouth.
