Kaid placed the plate he was using in his sink and began running the water. The Gnoll could not whistle so he hummed as he splashed water over the plate to wash it. The moment he received a notification from his phone he put everything down, turned off the water and dried his hands to check.
"Let's see... Oh!" He opened the familiar notification to see a self of Meru taken after a run. The slender Aniyub was sweaty, standing in front of a mirror flashing a peace sign. The tag was 'gains.' His feminine body was cocked just right in order to create the ideal illusion. A trap; a guy that would be hard to pick out as a guy under certain circumstances and the exact kind of guy that Kaid was into. Kaid licked his chops and began walking to his bathroom.
"I'll use this right away!" He hummed, half chub forming in his pants.
"This guy always posts thirst traps without even realizing it... I though he was messing with me throughout our entire friendship but I guess he was just clueless. He might have a super power for being cute..." He thought back to the first big step they took in Meru's room before Melody interfered. As he thought about her he heard a knock at his door.
"Gotta be a coincidence, right?"
He quietly approached his front door and leaned in to look through the peephole. As soon as he saw Melody waiting within sight of the glass eye on the door he covered his muzzle with both hands to avoid any of the nervous cackles emblematic of his species. He could feel a few rising.
'What is happening? Why is she at MY door?'
She leaned in to the glass eye and glared. "I know you're in there."
'There"s no way she knows I"m in here...'
She gritted her teeth, knocked again and warned. "Open the door you furry piece of shit! Or I'll let myself in."
Kaid had enough. No matter how frightening she was this should not stand. He opened the door, leaving the chain lock latched so he could poke his muzzle through.
"I-It's illegal to break into someone's home!"
"That's why I'm asking you to let me in." Melody stared at him with crazy wide eyes.
"Just so we're clear, if you make me become a criminal over this shit I might as well kill you as well while I'm at it."
"That's-" Without warning she grabbed the top of Kaid's muzzle through the door and pulls his face against the gap painfully.
"Ow ow ow! I'll bite!" A few of her fingers were inside his mouth.
She chuckled. "Go ahead. Bite me." Her grip tightened around his muzzle. He immediately unlatched the chain and let the door be pushed open. She stepped through and pulled him out so that she was inside and he was in the hall.
"Ha ha.. Hey..." He muttered in a confused tone.
"I gotta change. I'm in my work clothes so just wait out here for a minute."
"But it's-" She closed the door on him. He looked left, then right.
"I left my phone inside... And my apartment was somehow taken from me. Also..." He looked down and hid the half-erection he had from looking at Meru's socials.
"Dammit..." Kaid waited two minutes, then just as he was beginning to consider leaving the door opened. Melody answered in a tank top and tight shorts.
"Fancy seeing you here! Come in." She said boldly.
"Thanks..."
"I can't believe you stood out there for two minutes." She laughed.
"If you knocked I would've let you in."
"I didn't know if you'd kill me. if I knocked."
"Hmm. This is a nice place." She looks around.
"Thanks... I like being inside it." He quips.
"Still hung up about that? Listen, forget about it."
"Okay... Fine. Forgotten. Why're you here and not with Meru?"
"I shot Meru full of hormones earlier so he's a bit sleepy."
Kaid blinked. "W-what?"
"Anyway... I was investigating you, since you two were close and I found something very interesting!" Kaid stared at the unpredictable woman nervously.
"Any guesses."
"I don't know... What the hell would it be?" Kaid grunted.
"You. Are. Famous!" As she finished speaking she booped Kaid on the nose.
"No I'm not..." Kaid retorted flatly.
"Well, more specifically, in the world of Soma your blood is famous."
"My blood?"
"You're a descendant of Djir."
Kaid looked at her, then looked up in thought while rubbing his fuzzy chin. "Oh... Yeah, I guess that's true. But that's going back like... A thousand years."
"Doesn't matter. Blood is blood. Soma is different from Aura. Since Soma is the 'self' and the innate improvement and alteration of the 'self' the foundation that Djir's blood would provide actually extends for a thousand years and further."
"Kay." Kaid shrugged.
Mel rested her hands on her hips. "God your dull!"
"I just don't know what you're expecting me to do with that. I'm not gonna train or whatever... I'm strong enough just by being a Gnoll to never run into trouble during my day to day and I don't hate the prospect of working a normal job."
"That's fine. I don't care what you do so long as you give me your semen." She admitted rather forwardly while licking her lips.
"Ah I see." He paused, it took a moment for what she said to actually hit him.
"Sorry?"
Melody approached him. "You know I'd like to say that we can get this over with quickly but I'm actually very particular. So you need to fuck me just right."
"Who says I'm going to do that!?" Kaid starts to back away slowly, then does a heel turn to run. As he turns she is already standing in his way.
"Now now... I know you are quite gay. But-"
"N-no I'm not." Kaid insisted.
"Oh?" Melody grinned.
"I only like Meru because he looks like a girl and-"
"Has a lot of potential? Yeah... I suppose." She nodded.
"If you want good blood then why're you going after him?"
"He's also related to a famous guy in Aniyufar." She explained frankly.
"You're literally just a star fucker..."
"Hahaha." Melody laughed heartily, then grew serious.
