Due to the number of abbreviations, ship listings, and list of characters, in this story, I include a glossary that is now in a stand-alone chapter called
'All That Glitters: Notes'
. Any and all information that you want or need to know about the series is included in Notes. It will be updated frequently simply by re-issuing the chapter to Literotica.
There is little attempt to explain the back story, so it is necessary to read previous chapters to fully understand where we are.
As before, I claim sole responsibility for the story line. This story is a fantasy, with no basis in reality. Any similarity that you may perceive to current events, people, or situations real or imaginary is completely unintended. Look no further than the story line for its intent and purpose.
A big shout out to SaddleRider for all the help she has provided in editing. With her guidance, I'm making fewer and fewer errors, but she still finds them. If you find any errors still left in this chapter, they are mine.

The Kumaraie's Apartments, Imperial Palace, The Pod-Drran Home World, Twelve Light Years from Liramor-23
The Kumaraie Na-Maj Se-Lam Pod-Raie, lay in contented repose after a glorious bout of sex with her new mate. She languidly reached down to stroke his upper thigh only to find him ready yet again!
After two bouts of heavy sex, most Ro would be out for the count, but this was her Roe, her newly elevated Kumaroe, and he was more than a match for most females. Then again, she was not 'most' females. She was a Raie, the one and only Raie of the Pod-Drran.
She smiled at the thought that he was hers and ready to go yet again. Without being invited, he rolled toward her and took her left upper nipple into his mouth while one of his hands fondled her lower right breast and the other moved further south to caress her now very wet well.
Wet for two reasons, one -- she was definitely horny, two -- he had already spent twice into her.
Thank the Goddess I am not in heat,
she thought to herself,
I would be pregnant for sure with the amount of seed he puts into me each time!
She smiled at the thought. Did she want a brood with this Roe? She already had three broods, all with the newly deposed Roe, who had turned out to be such a disappointment to her, though the resulting broods had been remarkably better than their sire.
The former Kumaroe had used her isolation, her rakhan, to place his supporters on the various palace committees ready for a very public coup when she returned from her rakhan, a coup that had only been thwarted by the timely intervention of the Atohan and the Chlaerge.
She gasped at what her Roe's fingers were doing to her and lost all thoughts of past mistakes as she surrendered herself once again to pleasure.
Interspecies Embassy, Liramor-23, Piscium System, 106 Light Years from Terra
Charles Demoiné had just returned from his latest venture to the community of Sentient Species, where he had met the last four member species of the community. He had brought back representatives of these to the embassy at Liramor-23.
Ambs. Michelle Halten, a senior ambassador and responsible for the Interspecies Embassy, with Fiona present, was meeting with the first of these, Ambassador
Hri'llill'aatu'eeyea
of the
Hwill'illiti'hallat
a sentient species that was humanoid in appearance but with burnt-orange skin due to the light given off by their sun.
The pair stood in the Interspecies Embassy's main conference room waiting for the luminary to arrive. They did not have to wait long as Charles came into the room with the appointed ambassador.
"Good-day, Ambassador Michelle Halten, Director Fiona Marsh," Charles greeted the pair. "I have the pleasure of presenting Hri'llill'aatu'eeyea, the Ambassador at Large for the Hwill'illiti'hallat," he said, speaking through the translator matrix as he presented the luminary to his superior.
"It is a great pleasure to make your acquaintance Ambs. Hri'llill'aatu'eeyea," Michelle replied, extending a hand to the sentient.
"Thank-you, Ambs. Halten," he replied. "My people were certainly intrigued when we discovered that not only one, but two new species had been introduced to the Greater Community, and that you have proposed that your Interspecies Embassy be the pivotal point of contact between all of our peoples and the Union. That alone would help interspecies negotiations going into the future," the ambassador said.
"Why is that, Mr. Ambassador?" Fiona asked. "Certainly, your peoples would understand that a central location is preferable to what you have now?"
"Yes, we do, Ms. Marsh. However, we could never agree to where such an installation should be situated, all of the other species wanting to have such in their own spheres of control for obvious reasons and, quite frankly, the Djinaëte simply do not care where they are when they conduct business, they simply move to where they are needed in the moment.
"Your being where you are and having such an embassy dedicated to the Greater Community already in place, has saved us from interminable bickering," the ambassador replied with a smile that was very similar to a human smile.
"We are happy that we can provide a service, Mr. Ambassador," Michelle said, returning the smile.
"Ah, Ambassador Halten, you provide much more than just a service. Your options for trade goods have certainly caught our eyes, especially the option of your ships. I was absolutely amazed by the size of
Laureli,
" he answered, referring to the new Princess Class ship that was now supporting the embassy.
"Yes, I am happy to have the UCDS Laureli and Capt. Ulises Hyatt as part of this Embassy," Michelle indicated.
"So, I was ordered to come here for two reasons, the first is to have our embassy accredited with the Union, and the second was to be part of the upcoming Communications Symposium," Ambs. Hri'llill'aatu'eeyea explained. "Do we know when the symposium will start?"
"As soon as we have all the ambassadors and their experts in location, we will start." Michelle stated. "Not all of the ambassadors are capable of making the judgments on the electromagnetic spectrum they may require, so will need to bring in a specialist for this purpose.
"We will assist as much as we can with the necessary transport, however, over the next few weeks there will be a severe strain on the requirements for the Laureli. I hope that you have brought your specialist with you?"
"We have," Ambs. Hri'llill'aatu'eeyea replied. "We were informed by Ambs. Demoiné of the requirement."
"Then, all that we require to do is to start the process of accreditation for your embassy. This could take a few months, but you are not the only new species that is receiving accreditation," Michelle informed him. "We are attempting to do all of the members of the Interspecies Embassy at the same time, which should make things much easier for you.
"Are only concern is whether we will be allowed to have an embassy on your home world and if so, how many members will be permitted. The issue there is if the planetary environment is healthy for humans," Michelle ended.
"I understand," Hri'llill'aatu'eeyea replied. "I think that your species would not do well on our home world because of the spectrum of light that our sun puts out, which is unique in the Interspecies Community. However, we do have a station in orbit where we could put an embassy if required.
"I believe, though, that this facility covers all of our needs, so I would recommend that you use an Ambassador at Large for contact with my home world and yourself as the Union Ambassador on this facility,"
Hri'llill'aatu'eeyea
stated.
"That is acceptable for our needs, so long as we will have access for our Ambassador at Large in the event that we need to intervene in human issues in your area of space," Michelle agreed. "By the way, your name is very long, do you have a shorter version that would be acceptable for you?"
"Yes," he laughed, "you may call me Hri. All of the other ambassadors do."
