Because of the number of abbreviations, ship listings, and list of characters, in this story, I include a glossary that is now in a stand-alone chapter called
'All That Glitters: Notes'
. Any and all information that you want or need to know about the series is included in Notes. It will be updated frequently, when significant changes are made to it, simply by re-issuing 'Notes' to Literotica.
There is little attempt to explain the back story, so it is necessary to read previous chapters to fully understand where we are.
As before, I claim sole responsibility for the story line. This story is a fantasy, with no basis in reality. Any similarity that you may perceive to current events, people, or situations real or imaginary is completely unintended. Look no further than the story line for its intent and purpose.
A big shout out to SaddleRidder for all the help she has provided in editing. With her guidance, I'm making fewer and fewer errors, but she still finds them. If you find any errors still left in this chapter, they are mine.

'Nuff said...enjoy.
Liramor-23, 109 Piscium System, 106 Light Years from Terra
Fiona was ecstatic. For the first time ever, all of her ship's captains, Ex Os, Boatswains, and the senior personnel from LMC-23 were in the same room. She had the happy problem of having to find room at the conference table, despite its size. She would need ten meter tables in the refurbished conference rooms on the upgraded platform.
Fiona called all her Navy Captains together. They included, Capt. Mat Cage, commanding NS Orion, Capt. Beverly Davis, Civilian Liaison Officer for Liramor-23, Capt. Gerdt Dieter, the new commander of NS Betelgeuse in place of the late Capt. Loraine Tuffet, Capt. Liana Dostier, commanding NS Kindalla and 2 I/C of the Piscium System Defence, Capt. Cèleste Dauphine, commanding NS Kologn, Capt. Gisele Florine, commanding NS Kennedy, Capt. Richard Dent, commanding NS Claridge, Capt. Corine Leonard, commanding NFT Roger Dancer, Cdr. John Seldon, commanding NS Churchill, Capt. Bouyé Whatt, commanding NS Wimple, and Capt. (Civ.) Abigale Moore, commanding PV The Valour - Fiona Marsh, who she now had involved in her Navy briefs because of the constant interaction between her and the fleet.
Fiona and her Captains were going over the disposition of the ships in system to determine who would go where and be charged with what duties, with the exception of the Wimple, which was dedicated to the science team, the Valour, which was Fiona's dedicated transport, and the Roger Dancer, the fleet tender.
The Wimple was preparing to return to the Piscium system's alien station, while the Dancer was preparing to head to Sector Forty-Two HQ for the supplies the Navy ships required. The eight primary ships of the fleet, and her own vessel, had made a major dent in the dedicated navy supplies on the platform, though they still did not all have a full basic load. Fiona had decided to put the Navy Fleet Tender Roger Dancer to its primary use of running supplies for the fleet.
"I need you to ensure that all ships have their basic load and that the platform's Navy QM stores are complete with at least one full basic load in reserve for all ten ships, including your own, and The Wanderer," she explained to Capt. Corine Leonard.
"Let me know later how many runs you will need to make to complete that setup," Fiona finished, getting a nod from Corine.
Corine had spent her career on fleet tenders, but she had never been on a tender with the capabilities of her new ship, and she was its first captain! The ship had a huge jump capability of forty-five light years and could turnaround from a max jump in an hour. She could also drag a ship as large as Fairling Class Frigate twenty light hears in a tow but was limited in the number of times she could do that. She was not a dedicated tow vessel and the stresses on the ship's frame could cause major problems, so towing for the Dancer was a last ditch option.
The Roger Dancer was designed to carry a large surplus of supplies, from food and water, and to all the gasses necessary for humans to live in space. Her storerooms were massive, allowing her to carry a large quantity of various necessary supplies. She had huge magazines designed to cram the maximum quantities of torpedoes, missiles, FTL probes, various types of mines, and the ammo cases for the 50mm rail guns into the ship.
She had various methods of moving supplies between ships including an airtight, flexible gangway, hoses for gases and liquids, a loader arm, and twenty-four dedicated large supply shuttles. She could use any and all of those methods to transfer supplies.
The Dancer also carried specialist engineers literally capable of rebuilding a ship while in deep space. Overall, the Dancer was a more than capable ship able to resupply and maintain a fleet of up to twenty large vessels, and she was dedicated to a fleet of ten, including herself.
Her jump capacity meant that she could get to the QM at Sector HQ and return within a day, something that would have taken two to three days before. When the brass saw what the Dancer was capable of, she was certain that her ship would be the model for all future tenders.
Corine quickly came to the conclusion that they would be able to finish out the basic load for all ships and get the standby load into the QM in three runs. They would do four, carrying a portion of the fleets basic load on board after the fact.
Corine estimated it would take a day for each run, even with the ship's new capabilities. It would be a test of the ship and crew, but she was proud of both and knew they could complete the job.
The other captains quickly came to a decision as to how they would deploy to protect the system and monitor the known alien invasion, an issue that would have to be dealt with soon.
For now, they would conduct some fleet exercises to work out coordination between the vessels. An issue that was glaringly obvious during the Second Battle of Liramor-23. They wanted to make sure the fleet had no such issues in future.
The Wanderer, Liramor Prime, Liramor System, Thirty Light Years from Terra
Liea was being fitted with her personal body armour by Michelle Laundray. She was naked in her stateroom, with the various pieces of body armour laying on her bed, except for the one she currently was wrapping around her. It was bustier style and ran from her hips up and over her breasts, covering her entire torso except for the upper portion of her breasts and her shoulders, with a padded piece that went as far down as her Mons.
"This particular model is for wearing under strapless gowns or gowns that have very thin straps," Michelle told her and those in the room.
In the stateroom with her were Kim Oshiiru, her bodyguard, Lissette Blanche, her PA, Lynette Jardine, her dressing maid, Arlene Vautor, the ship's dress maker, Analisa Talbot, Raymond's bodyguard but in reality, the planetary security coordinator for when they were off the ship on other planets, Lynne Ducharme, Raymond's PA, Capt. Henadi Noor, captain of The Wanderer, Lt. Ululla Mbibo, Marine officer and, with Kim, one of the two principal unarmed combat instructors on board, and Raymond Clark, Liea's partner. All were involved in some way with helping her dress, working directly with her or Raymond, being part of her security detail, or in the case of Ululla, Henadi and Raymond, being fitted for their own armour shortly.
"This particular model has a high breast plate and should provide you with excellent protection considering what it has to hide beneath," Michelle told her.
The armour fit perfectly, but then it was made to measure for her. Liea did a couple of deep knee bends, full forward touch toes bend overs, and deep one-legged lunges with full torso twists at the end of the lunge. She looked up and caught Michelle licking her lips as she watched Liea go through her paces. Liea gave Raymond a significant look and a raised eyebrow, getting a knowing smile in return.
She slipped on one of her long dresses with thin shoulder straps. A small portion of the armour showed at her breasts, but Arlene told her she could modify it and the other dresses it might be worn with to ensure the armour would be hidden.
Next, she was fitted with a bustier style with 'deep' plunge in the front, though in reality, the plunge wasn't very deep at all. Her dressmaker noted and took some measurements, assuring Liea that she could make the appropriate modifications to those dresses that it would be worn beneath.
The third model was a more standard body armour style with shoulder straps, though they were much thinner than traditional straps, and the fourth model was a standard body armour style with wide shoulder straps, made to be worn under regular clothing.
The body armour was thin enough that she would not need new clothing sizes to wear it. Liea tried on different clothing, some loose, some tight, just to see how they would work over the armour.
