"So you say, you had a succubus sleep with you whilst your wife was next to you in the very same bed?" The knight had to confirm the strange story he just heard.
"Yes, exactly. It was terrifying to say the least," the man said, sweating, his wife standing right next to him giving her husband the stink eye.
"But it's fine," his wife piped up. "The witch in the woods gave us a cure. A simple banishing powder, salt and dragon's blood she said."
"It's curious how she can banish them so easily," the knight replied. He had heard rumours about this town even when he was working at the King's Guard some months ago. Everyone found it odd how there were reports of the little she-demons in great numbers in such a small vicinity. The knight, Sir Silas of the Great Northern Kingdom, was unconvinced that this was some kind of natural occurrence. His friends back at the barracks were convinced it would be some kind of curse bestowed upon the town.
"Yes but she really is a blessing upon the town," the wife informed Silas, who was just passing through the town. He did not realise this was the succubi town he had heard about in the rumours.
Not all places were as fond of magic as this one was, and Silas took no issue with it either. He did find this succubus situation quite peculiar, though. As Sir Silas roamed the town, a natural extrovert, he spoke to many men and women alike. A fair few of them, too many to be a coincidence, had this issue with succubi seducing their men. The knight travelled through many lands, there were few places he had not explored. And never once in his journeys has he experienced such a high concentration of succubi.
What did the succubi want with this town? None of the men were particularly good looking, or smelled good for that matter. It'd be different if they were all gorgeous laying on beds of roses. Or rich, or powerful. Sailors, warriors, those types. But these were just ordinary men. Silas wasn't sure if succubi had standards but it made sense in his mind that they would.
The witch had been mentioned a number of times and the knight finally asked if the witch was charging them anything for the cure. And it was merely pennies worth, just enough to cover her materials really. But he followed the trail further, he wanted to meet this witch. This town's lord and saviour so to speak.
A young man led the knight to the woods, down the natural pathway and toward the witch's cottage. It was strangely picturesque, not what you'd picture to be a witch's home. There were potted plants lined up out the front. Flowers pouring out of them, like waterfalls. The house was bursting with nature. They were spilling out of the brim of every window.
The young man excused himself and Silas was left alone. Silas approached the door as the boy disappeared before knocking. The sound of glass and metal clinking and clanking was heard before a stumbling woman came to open the door.
Silas gazed down to see the witch. A rather young woman, with caramel coloured hair bleached from the sun flowing down her back at every angle. Her sun kissed skin and deep amber eyes didn't scream witch to the knight. But nevertheless this was her.
"Are you the witch?" He questioned.
The witch frowned up at Silas.
"Yes, how may I help you?" Her tone was wary, there were no knights in that village. He must be a traveller or a foreigner.
"I came to discuss the succubi problem the township seems to be having."
Her eyes widened at the sound of this. Regaining her composure, she motioned for the knight to enter.
"Oh, come in, come in. Yes, it's been a big issue for the town, they're everywhere these days but it's okay I've been helping every single one of them. It's a simple banishing spell really," the witch reassured.
She took a seat at a small wooden table in her main room, but the knight insisted on standing, to stretch his legs.
"You know in all my travels I have never seen so many afflicted men in one place."
Silas wanted to gauge the witch's reaction but she simply nodded almost as if she was agreeing with him. His eyebrows creased in the centre. She was a strange woman. Although, he couldn't help but notice the curves of her body beneath her thin dress. It had been months since he bedded a woman and she was not what he was expecting when he heard of her.
"Yes it's a strange occurrence, I only wish I could help more."
Silas left from his spot and began to walk around her small cottage. The witch watched him like a hawk.
"I didn't catch your name," he said.
"You didn't ask," she snapped back. "Lena."
He looked at her for a moment, "Silas," he offered his own name.
"Silas," Lena said, feeling his name in her mouth. She continued to watch him snoop, feeling powerless to do anything about this magnificent brute in her home. She bit her plump bottom lip as he got just too close to her things. She couldn't have him figuring it all out.
Lena stood up to distract him, anything to stop him, but it was too late. He found her book of shadows, open to the pages of summoning.
How to summon a succubus was right there. He picked the book up and brought it over to her, slamming it on the table.
"What is this?" He growled at her, making her reel back from him.
"It's just some light reading, I wouldn't look too deeply into it..." she tried but Silas was already convinced she'd been summoning the succubi. And she was. He loomed over her small body, his face pulled into a scowl. Lena stared back at him, attempting to feign innocence.
"Don't lie to me," he said, grabbing her thigh, and squeezing. "I can tell when witches lie."
"Oh?"
"Why would you do such a thing to a town that cares for you?"
As he glared at her she tried to find the right words, or the right lie. But it was no use and she split at the seams within moments.
"I just wanted to feel needed. I swear I just did a few but then they kept multiplying, I had that page open coz I was trying to work out how to reverse the spell..." she tried to explain.
An anger grew inside Silas that he didn't quite understand. At the depths of that anger laid a pure arousal he could not quell even if he tried. She seemed so small in comparison to him and that made it all so much worse.
"Even if that is true, you must be punished for your initial wrong doings," Silas finally said. Lena gasped at that and reeled back. Silas removed his sword belt and dropped it.
"What're you doing?" she gasped.
