The brown and decaying leaves that blanketed the forest floor and gravel path "Crunched" and "squelched" as Franka's leather boots made their way through the giant - overgrown oak trees. The forest was illuminated only by bright rays of sunshine that peaked through the tall branches and thick leaves illuminating the fading overgrown gravel and dirt path with a grand heavenly allure in the morning dew.
As Franka navigated through the forest from the abandoned and sun bleached white manor the gravel path "Crunched" underfoot fading eventually through the bushes and branches into the more refined and planned out cobble one she had journeyed on to the village two days ago.
Franka passed by the large yellow-wheat fields and the small knoll she had two days prior, only now with a sleeping boy wrapped in a dark green cloak in her arms. Soon she saw the intricate stone and wood walls of the town. The long trek to the town following the dirt and gravel path out of the forest had caused Franka to arrive around noon when the residents were most busy and present in the streets.
The intricately decorated wooden gates Franka and observed on her first visit, were always left open. She had observed this curious manner when she had left two days ago - the two wooden gates had still been left unguarded by the female soldier's who were kept to protect the town against any suspicious persons.
Deciding as she slowly approached the wooden gates of the town and seeing the multiple local female silhouettes from afar, that it may be best to hide the sleeping face and wolf ears of the figure currently in her arms - Franka kneeled in the grass and large shadow of a tree far from the gates of the town.
Slowly lowering the sleeping figure in her arms and resting the boy's back on her left knee - Franka used her now free left hand to pull the cloak's green hood over the boy's sleeping face covering his messy black hair and black wolf-ears. Satisfied, and seemingly assuring herself that no one would be able to see his features, Franka with the figure gently cradled in her arms now walked on through the wooden gates and into the busy main street of the town square.
The reason why the gates were left unguarded, Franka quickly realized as she walked into the bustling town in its afternoon hours was because there were always pairs of female guard's who constantly patrolled the paved streets and roads of the town and stood at attention on the corners of the shops and townhomes offering assistance to any woman who stopped to ask.
Though in actuality following the aftermath of the "man-killer virus" these female soldiers and officers who had joined and been established as a force were mainly here to question and interrogate mensh who came to or wandered into the recently established women-led town at a moment's notice.
There were on close examination multiple women and very few men walking along and on the town's paved stone roads and accompanying sidewalks, the main street was filled with various races of women going about their lives. There were street vendors selling fruit and vegetables heckling and bargaining with their customers looking for lower prices, and quality goods.
Women young and old were advertising for their businesses, shops and cafes - some were heading home after a long day of work and a majority were female officers off duty trying to find open pubs or taverns where they could chat with friends and staff. Others wearing clearly higher, fashionable clothing with rather expensive looking umbrellas walked to and from street to street looking for restaurants or clothing stores that caught their respective eyes and their purse. Some women even had one or two mensh trailing after them holding luggage, colorful parcels or boxes decorated with neat cutesy bows- no doubt filled with clothing and gifts for their friends.
Walking through the busy main road to the location of a close friend of hers, Franka with bright silver hair and slightly taller figure stood out like a sore thumb compared to most women races be it demon or promise kind. Not helped much by the large bundle of dark green fabric she was currently walking with cradle in her arms. Catching quite a few stares and side glances walking through the main street of the town - many women dared not approach her, many simply paid her no heed. After all, many were busy with their own tasks, and a woman with a giant bundle of fabric could be seemingly attributed to any number of activities or reasons.
Rounding a corner to the left of the busy mainstreet and walking down a paved path to her close friend's clinic. Franka made quick progress as she was in a hurry, her leather boots "Clacking" along the roughly laid stone street - hastily turning right on the busy paved street she hurried to her friend's establishment praying it was still open.
Which is where she then collided right into the young Lisa, the brown haired cat-woman she had met two-days prior, her violent collision with Franka causing stacks of yellowed paper fliers to flutter around them like cherry blossoms in a spring draft before resting on the stone floor.
Poor young Lisa for her part, had been walking along the empty streets of the town trying to advertise for the cafe she was currently working at as one her bosses new ideas to draw new customers- looking one way before turning to the busy main street, she then felt herself violently bump into something before having the cafe's advertisement flyers erupt in a flurry of paper around her. Loudly exclaiming how sorry she was to the figure she had collided with while bowing repeatedly, Lisa bent down trying to pick up the scattered flier's around her with her hands and accompanying gray cat-tail. She was about to formally apologize to the figure in front of her, only to see the brown-leather boots of one of her cafe's most frequent customers while she was crouched on the stone pavement.
Slowly looking up, she saw the familiar tall-figure of the silver-haired elf that had always visited her bosses cafe for the past week. This time in complete disarray Lisa loudly blurted out how sorry she was to the elf woman. Their most valued customer simply smiled at Lisa saying that she promised to come by soon to make it up to her before rushing off.
Lisa only then noticed the green bundle of fabric in her arms as the silver-haired elf flew by her still standing figure - her green-eyes catching what she thought was a small face under the green fabric, looking at the back of the retreating elfs figure as she ran down the empty street, Lisa saw what could only be a black tail and feet peeking out from over the woman's elbow.
Franka realized she did not have time for this, even if she wanted to, she could not risk dropping the boy in her arms to help Lisa pick up her papers, disappointed in herself for being uncouth - she calmly accepted Lisa's repeating frantic apology. Perhaps reading that the young cat-woman was worried her cafe's most valued customer was going to leave for somewhere else Franka with a smile said she would visit Lisa's cafe soon, as a formal apology of her own to make it up to her, before quickly hurrying off down the narrow street and to the left. The green hood of her cloak billowing in the wind behind her.
Finally getting to the quiet street her friend's clinic resided in, Franka could clearly see the building's familiar architecture. Noticing it had stayed the same after all their years apart - It was a rather large two-story building situated around quite a few townhomes and shops, with its off white fading coloring and wooden framing intricate windows with hanging flowers and multiple gray stone chimneys looking more like a large tavern than a clinic. The only denoting thing about its establishment being a large hanging dark oak sign with a red and white cross and accompanying "EMERGENCY" in rather large red prominent script.
