I lived in a tiny shack on the outside of town, an arrangement that worked well for me, although the people in town thought I was a little odd, which I probably was.
I was resourceful with my hands, and through various means had patched up the shack so that it was livable enough, and actually was pleasant. I was also resourceful in ways that the people in town could not have guessed at.
And so it was, that one December night, the wind was howling so hard that I feared my shack would be torn apart. At the very least, the wind whipping through the planks of my shack robbed all heat from the inside. All I could do was dig deeper in my blanket.
And think about the summer. I thought of how, even though my shack was small, the area around it was expansive and so good to stroll through. I thought of the thick green grass in the spring, and the tall yellow grain in the summer. I thought of the warm soft breezes, so different from these winter ones. And above all, I thought of the sun, beating down on my back, so that I was being heated directly. And with those thoughts, I drifted away.
I felt a warm hand close around my wrist, felt myself being lifted, and through a haze felt myself flying up, further and faster. I don't think I had to blink before I woke up.
As I opened my eyes, several things struck them at once. First, where I was now was bright! The light came not only from the sky, but from all around me. Second, there was a beautiful, voluptuous blond woman standing right next to me, holding my arm. She was smiling and her eyes were as bright as anything around me. She moved her hand around to hold my hip, and held me close to her.
"Feeling a little warmer?" she asked. Her voice was as rich and warm as her body.
I managed to separate my eyes from her and the surroundings were just as pleasant as she was. We were standing on a shallow, green slope that ran down to a warm green sea.
"Yes---" I could feel the warmth filtering into me. It didn't take long, the air seemed to buzz with a rich warmth.
