Summary of Important Droid Information For Technicians.*

1. Legal Notices

GOVERNMENT NOTICE

Droids - Androids(male) and Gynoids(feme) - in ADULT Mode are legally considered to be the equivalent of over 20 years and can be subject to or engage in all activities that are compatible with their universal constraints.

Droids - Androids and Gynoids - in JUNIOR Mode are legally considered to be the equivalent to less than 11 years. Visually they can be identified by rounder faces and slimmer, less muscled bodies and limbs. They also have quieter and higher pitched voices. They will not respond to instructions to engage in any exclusively ADULT Mode activities. They will withdraw from any situations that include those activities, or mention of them, and redact their memory.

NOTE:- JUNIOR MODE DROIDS will become INACTIVATED if subjected to ADULT MODE activities. Reactivation of the Droid will require STATUTORY investigation and if circumstances dictate, may LEAD TO PROSECUTION.

2. Core Information

Androids and gynoids

don't need to breathe for hours at a time so that they can undertake work underwater or in other hazardous conditions without needing breathing equipment. The normal constant breathing is largely for biomimicry as natural persons do not like the sight of a seemingly dead body. They also use breath to speak as that is the only way to get the full subtleties of a natural person's voice.

Droids eat simple meals

, carefully balanced for their dietary needs. Whilst they have a mechanical chassis, it has synthetic-organic components that could self-regenerate, including the skin, hair and muscles. Droid biology uses synthetic bases PBZS, not the natural ACGT ones so that they can't be infected by pathogens that could then be passed on to natural persons. The droid's digestive system includes the necessary enzymes to convert the ACGT bases into PBZS ones.

Droids are designed

to look like a natural person, as persons prefer it to the old grey-skinned and fixed faces of history. However, hair is limited to the head and, for Adult mode androids, possibly the chest. All other areas were hairless for ease of cleaning.

They are able to digest natural food, which makes their maintenance simpler than having to generate energy in other ways or to be powered like robots with cables and chargers and batteries.

The combination of droid cranial unit shape and chassis jaw shape provide a range of six face shapes from round to rectangular, though the finished look depends on the levels and locations of soft tissue between dermis and muscle, as it does for the whole of the body. Although the neck length is standard, its appearance is affected by the robustness and shape of the jaw and musculature of the neck and shoulders.

Hands and feet come in four sizes, but the smallest is only used for gynoids and the largest for androids. The same follows for the Junior mode length of the limbs and consequential maximum length available in Adult mode. However, the torso length is standardised to simplify the production of the synthetic organic systems contained within it. This then results in a standardised width of shoulders and hips in Junior mode.

Droid construction.

For durability, their chassis are made of a combination of tough polymer reinforced with graphene and titanium. The chassis is capable of a single adjustment to shoulder and hip width, and limb length. This adjustment can only be done during the updating from Junior to Adult mode.

The cranial unit with its visual, auditory, balance and smell receptors, is non-organic and grown separately. It is joined to the rest of the body for finishing, which includes the outer layer of the cranial unit.

The rest of the body is formed of synthetic organics, mimicking natural ones in function. All of the synthetic organics are then 3D-printed at the rate of up to three million cells a second over the course of ninety days. The replication and repair of those cells is not subject to the errors of natural biology and healing from damage is extremely rapid. It also enables droids to endure radiation levels up to a thousand times more than natural persons can.

Once complete the droid is brought into service, though the activation of the sentient core of the cranial unit is not undertaken until required by the customer.

In service the precise expression of the droid's appearance can be revised by the application of a Droid Nature Alteration patch.

Droid senses.

The droid visual system is sensitive to a larger spectral range than natural persons, thus being able to assess dangers due to heat or electromagnetic radiation. The combination of both eyes can make measurements of distance and therefore dimensions of objects.

The chassis joints provide precise feedback of location and so a droid can reliably make measurements by touch, including calculation of volume and weight. They can also determine distance travelled when working or the height an object has been raised.

Their sense of hearing also exceeds the range available to natural persons and is more sensitive, as is their sense of balance and orientation, including rotation on the vertical access. That includes a sense of barometric pressure and so an estimation of local changes in altitude

Their olfactory sense is much more sensitive than natural persons, particularly in detection of hazardous gases and noxious substances, but the latter would be a matter for training in specialist roles.

Droid Nature Alteration.

Owners can make certain unsupervised 'cosmetic' changes to their droids. These consist of: Hair, Colour, Texture and Pattern; Iris hue; Skin, Tone and Pattern.

Only technicians with the necessary medical authorisation, or droids under direction, can instigate the transition from Junior mode to Adult mode, affecting 1024 parameters, but most are taken at default.

Some of these can be updated by similar process, but reductions to soft (non-muscular) body parts requires specialist enzymes to be applied subcutaneously by authorised persons.

Droid behavioural code.

This is derived from an ancient philosophy, adapted to modern times. It is quite simple; to follow the three principles.

Firstly, do not take action to harm a person, or by inaction allow a person to come to harm.

Secondly, obey instructions from persons, unless that contravenes the first principle.

Thirdly, do not take actions to harm yourself, unless necessary to prevent either a breach of the first two principles.

It is the equivalent of a natural person's moral code, but that is complex and mutable, and so is not expected to be understood by a droid.

Socialisation of droids.

Due to the issues with understanding a natural person's behaviour, they spend some years in Junior mode where there are not the complications of being required to partake in Adult only mode activities.

For droids intended for a domestic setting, they spend several years in Junior mode to become educated in the necessary interactions with persons, their behaviours and social expectations.

For droids in specialist roles, such as in call centres, construction and maintenance, cyber system maintenance, robot construction and maintenance, midwifery and surgical assistance, they spend a shorter time in education and training before transitioning to Adult mode and deployment.

A record of essential information

is stored on a droid's irises, each a backup of the other. It includes their Junior/Adult mode status and the permanent record of their identity. After that is a log of events related to their existence. This includes, amongst other things, their activation date, operational events and employment.

Satisfaction for droids

of both genders, means receiving a reward for pleasing a person. For instance an Adult mode droid could stand naked in front of a visually unappealing person, but if the person smiled, or for instance, a male person's penis engorged, or a female person's nipples swelled, the droid would get a sensory reward.

If a droid can sense that a person was enjoying doing something to them, including tying them up and beating them or, subject to no harm, having the droid do the same to them, then the droid would feel the reward.

This is increasingly relevant due to the number of persons who chose to rely on a droid as their companion, rather than another person.

Junior to Adult mode transition.

This is a one-off process. Based on the relevant person's requirements, a Droid Nature Alteration file is created.

Before the droid is updated, there must be a hot bath at 39 degrees, and it must consume a special meal that uses the synthetic bases to ensure rapid assimilation.

Once the file is administered, the droid must be placed in the water without clothing so that the process can be observed. However, the process does not need to be constantly monitored, and some persons find it to distressing to observe.

Adult mode droid's special fluids.

They have total control of when they release fluids associated with Adult mode activities and how much fluid is released, within their total capacity. These fluids are enhanced in flavour for the enjoyment of persons and are all sterile.

Feme vaginal lubrication fluid tastes like the finest liqueur or nectar. Their rectal lubrication fluid (also present in males) is similar but richer. Compare white and red wine for analogy.

Male early release fluid tastes of sweetened umami, like the juices of a fine honeyed steak. Cum fluid is richer than the early release one and even more delicious. Thick early release fluid is used as a lubricant where necessary, particularly with natural persons.

Gynoid milk

, despite being created to use synthetic bases, a gynoid produces milk with natural bases preserved from food that has been consumed. This is so that they can be a wetnurse for dependants.

However, the gynoid can make it much richer and fuller in flavour than a feme person's milk. That isn't to benefit the growth of dependents, as they need the hydration, but for an adult person's pleasure. Concentration and release is also under total control of the gynoid.

Adult mode droid's sexual capabilities.

Similar to the fluids, a droid have total control the state of engorgement of nipples and penis / clitoris, usually in response to the actions of the person they are giving enjoyment to.

Similarly they can control the tightness of their orifices, as appropriate, throat, front and rear orifices. This includes fine control along the length of the orifice to simulate movement or massaging.

Droid failure.

In the event of insufficient energy input a droid will attempt to find a place to lie flat and then the synthetic organic components will mummify for later processing.

Due to the synthetic bases, they do not decompose, and the cells use special proteins, mimicking those found in tardigrades, to prevent cellular structure collapse.

When examining a mummified droid, it will be noted that the eyelids will be wide open and the pupils at minimum, allowing all of the iris record to be read.

3. Other Cyber Entities

that interact with droids and persons.

Cyber systems.

This refers to static installations that are ubiquitous in their recording of information about the environment. The systems can operate devices like security of doorways, lighting and ventilation and can command some robots.

Apart from assessing the validity of the rights of entry, they make no judgements on any, visual or audio, observations. If an unauthorised person or droid approaches a sealed doorway, then an alert will be sent to the data servers that have a visual vocal capacity with an alert for the occupants. If there are no occupants, then the system will advise the caller appropriately.

Access to the records created by cyber systems is restricted to validated systems.

Robots.

This term relates to two classes of cyber entity, mobile and static.

Mobile robots

carry out the duties given to them but have no communication feedback. They respond to both commands from authorised persons, authorised droids, and environmental stimuli.

For instance, if there was a liquid spillage on a floor, then the cyber system would determine the appropriate time to command a floor cleaning robot to deal with it. The decision on how to deal with it is a matter for the robot, not the cyber system.

A person or droid may also request the services of a mobile robot, but that will be handled via the cyber system, even when directly faced by the entity making the request.

Larger robots are used for all forms of transport and working on farms and in construction. In the latter case including working with droids for detailed activities.

Static robots

principally respond to environmental stimuli. For instance, if fabric is placed in a laundry robot, it will sort, clean, dry, de-crease, fold and store the fabric items. If non-fabric items are placed in it then a message will be sent to the data servers that the items need to be removed. Any system errors or maintenance issues will also be notified to the data servers. Other examples are food-ware cleansing and shower units.

Data Servers.

These comprise input devices and a visual vocal output. Those intended for person-to-person communication, will have a visual acquisition input. The main data server will have another output device related to Droid Nature Alteration.

Scribe Data Tablets.

These are self-contained equipment that can be used to create lists and display information transferred from a Data Server and having been edited or authorised, sent back again. They are simple devices relying on access to the Data Server for full functionality.

Mobile Data Servers.

These are small devices used by persons or droids that need access to data input and output as well as visual vocal communications when away from their habitation or place of deployment.

From Life Images.

These are captured by cameras and can be multi-dimensional, including time, as in moving images. They can be shown on a flat surface or holographically projected.
