Hi there readers. This is the first time I've ever shared any of my writing so please dont hold back on any constructive feedback.
I started writing this in a pretty rough time in my life as a bit of a mental decompression tool.
I've written five or six chapters around 4k words each, completely off the cuff. Quality was not my intention here, take from that what you will.
I'm not really sure how far I want to take this but if you folks enjoy it let me know?
Cheers,
FWT

Chapter 1
Isaac pulled his all wheel drive wagon into the driveway of his childhood home, it was packed with all of his belongings after moving out of the shared apartment he'd rented for the last four years while studying at university. He quickly decided that he could unpack later tonight or tomorrow morning and bounced out of the car, fast-walking up the concrete path and unlocked the door of the two story brick home, calling out to his father as he stepped inside and dropped his duffle bag.
"Welcome home son!" His dad called back before wrapping him up in a hug.
Dr Ivan Steinbeck positively disappeared into the embrace of his large son, as he was not a large man and his son stood nearly a foot taller than he, at 6'6".
"It's great to be home dad but you're acting like you haven't seen me for years, I saw you like two weeks ago for my graduation!"
His Dad chuckled and exclaimed "Of course son but come on, this is your first time coming home with a degree under your belt! We have to celebrate! I've got some great Japanese beers in the fridge and steaks to throw on the barbecue later"
"That sounds amazing, but would you mind if I went for a quick run first? The gym kept me sane but it's been tough being cooped up with only parks and the botanic gardens in the city."
Ivan smiled up at his boy and patted him firmly on his shoulder "Go stretch your legs son, but be back in an hour for dinner yeah?"
Isaac gave his dad a grin before snatching his bag off the ground and trotting up to his room to drop it on his bed, grabbing a pair of baggy basketball shorts and a gym shirt, before heading to the small outdoor shower area in the back yard and stripping off his clothes in preparation for shifting. Once naked he quickly assumed his wolf form, a large shaggy and heavily muscled canine standing near 5 feet tall at the shoulder, dropped to all fours and took a running launch over the back fence and into the patch of bushland their property adjoined.
This reserve was actually part of a flood mitigation area for the region and was the biggest stretch of bushland within an hours drive, stretching several kilometres across at its widest point and more than a few kilometres in winding length as it followed a natural creek.
He zoned out for a while and just ran, chasing down whatever scents took his interest as he zipped amongst the trees, soon reaching the other end of the reserve and turning to make a loop back to his home. As he got closer to home he caught a familiar scent he hadn't smelled in at least a year and gave a sharp toothed grin before putting on a burst of speed and easily clearing the 6 foot timber fence to his back yard and skidding to a halt on the grass. He entered the outdoor shower nook, promptly shifted back and took a quick shower, before dressing and heading to the back deck to join his dad at the barbecue.
"Fairly short run there son? Wasn't expecting you for another quarter of an hour" His dad enquired with a lifted brow.
"Yeah dad, just wanted to stretch my legs a little. Pretty sure Cass is home too, smelled her as I ran past their place. I might pop down the road after dinner and say hi"
As Ivan responded he held out an ice cold beer to his son with a big grin "Oh great! I'm sure she'd love that, say hi to Deb and Stu for me when you do?"
Isaac nodded and took the beer his dad offered, taking a swig and settling at the outdoor table to chat while his dad clacked the tongs and started dropping well seasoned steaks onto the searing hot barbecue plate.
As he sat talking with his father his mind wandered, his best friend since childhood, Cass hadn't mentioned she was coming home to her folks place but then they hadn't talked as much as normal in the last few weeks. They usually texted or messaged on social media regularly to keep apprised of each other lives, they'd been best friends since they were kids and shared pretty much everything with each other but they'd both been so busy lately finishing up at uni. He was really looking forward to a proper "Cass" hug if she was there this evening. She had developed her trademark hug when they were kids after he complained about the sensitivity of his nose and having her scent stuck to him for ages after a hug, so she started smooshing her face and cheeks into his chest and neck and rubbing against him repeatedly as "punishment" for complaining, and continued to do so to this day.
That had caused some awkward moments for him in his later teens, her scent clinging to him and filling his powerful olfactory senses for hours after they'd parted ways each time.
As they plated the steaks and buttered buns to make steak burgers Isaac and his father continued their relaxed conversation. They mostly talked on the last few weeks, what Isaac had been up to getting his affairs in the city finalised before heading home to suburbia, emptying and moving out of his shared apartment, and what he was planning to do next. Isaac had been working part time doing sub-contracted IT support in the city with a number of businesses and had a decent chunk of cash saved up so he wasn't in a rush to get into the workforce now that his degree was finished. He had a couple of job offers, open offers at that, from city based IT firms and a managed services business he'd worked with or contracted for, but he was wanting to take a break and relax for a bit now that he was done with school. His ultimate goal was to find a pack that would willingly adopt him and had a business he could use his talents for.
They talked about his dads' recent research as they ate, much of the science of which went way over his head, but his dad loved talking about it and he loved listening to the passion he exuded as he gestured wildly with his hands.
When they were both comfortably stuffed with steak burgers Ivan stood and started picking up condiments and such from the table "Alright buddy, this old man is going to curl up with a book and then get an early night. You mind doing the dishes?"
Isaac chuckled and complied with a nod.
Once the few dishes were done Ivan gave his boy another hug and a "good to have you home" then headed upstairs to settle in with a good book.
Slipping on some shoes at the door Isaac headed out and turned left, three houses down the street was the Sherman household. He slowed as he approached their front door realising his heart was racing and wondering why, he slapped the doorbell and heard muffled voices from inside before the door sprung open.
Standing there in fuzzy slippers, short running shorts that could almost be called booty shorts, and a tank top, was Cass.
Isaacs racing heart seemed to stop entirely as his eyes flicked across her long athletic legs, soft curvy hips, toned trim stomach, gorgeous c-cup breasts and.. no bra.. his eyes snapped up further and met her baby blues which widened comically before Cass was squealing and launched herself off the doorstep at him, wrapping her arms and legs around him torso and madly rubbing her face into his pecs.
He immediately wrapped his arms around her to hold her up, leaned his head down and nuzzled into her hair to mumble "It's good to see you too Cass, I've missed you"
