"All units return to station, there is an incoming blizzard that is set to cut services," said the voice from the radio.
Hunter groaned, he was far from the station, the blizzards around these parts sometimes hit with furious intensity and little warning. He quickly turned the car around and hoped to make the forty minute trip before the blizzard cut off visibility and he wouldn't be able to see anything in front of him.
Ten minutes later he knew he wasn't going to make it, the wind and the snow had picked up quickly the night was already cold, but the chill fogging the windows showed him just how much colder it had become outside. He hoped to find some place that he could ride out the storm in, his car was not practical.
Even though it was one of the station's few four wheel drive patrol units, this amount of snow would soon make the road too hazardous to continue on. Red lights gleamed out in front of him, he slowed his pace further as the lights gleamed like red halos. It was a car, the wheels were lodged in the already deepening snow as the howling wind dumped large curtains of snow down in front of them.
He slowed to a stop and adjusted his thermal gloves and parka hood and stepped out. He grimaced at the biting slash of cold as he shut the door. He walked through the powdery snow that seemed to just sink under his boots. He reached the car and knocked on the window.
He shouted out, hoping to be heard over the howling wind, "Are you ok in there?"
Helena was pissed, her stupid powers were screwing up again. She really hated being a chaos demon, and she also really hated the cold. Even though it wasn't going to physically hurt her, it still sucked.
She was stuck here for now, she had hoped to get back to her apartment and make the journey back underneath but her stupid powers screwed up and spawned a monster blizzard. The thought of having to walk several hours in the freezing blizzard pissed her off. A loud thudding knock echoed from her window as a muffled voice called out. Lucky for her she had better then mortal hearing and could pick it up.
Maybe now she'd make it home, she tugged her gloves on tighter and pulled the door open and then stepped out and walked around to the other side. Even with her enhanced eyesight, it was difficult to make out the dark form of the man standing there. "No, my stupid car is stuck, blizzard came out of nowhere."
Hunter walked up to the lithe woman that had stepped out of the car and shouted to her, "These blizzards tend to do that around here, lets get you out of here." He motioned her to follow him.
