"Could you check that room?" she asked while she and Jaxon continued to check the House. Jax nodded and opened the bedroom door, the bed was clean and made up, the bathroom clean and well prepared for the visitors.

"So Alpha Torie is your mate?" Candace called from another bedroom.

"Yes, but she does not see me as anything more then a means to have children." Jaxon called back as he walked back into the hallway and closed the bedroom door.

"So what will you do?" she asked curiously. Jaxon watched her close the door she had just vacated and they moved to the third bedroom door while he spoke.

"She says she does not mind if I find love with another, but they have to be willing to share during her time of heat." he explained to her. How his mate had sounded so clinical and matter of fact about it, he did not know. But that must be part of how she grew up, he reasoned to himself.

"And how do you feel about that?" Candice asked slowly. Candice could in fact admit to herself she was drawn to this Cat, this man who would stand like a tree in a storm against any and all who would move against him. He had even tried to stand against Alpha Torie, but the fact was no one could stand against her, not for long anyways.

"I don't know, I mean, I grew up differently, more like you and the packs did. Alpha Torie did not have that, maybe that is why she can't quite grasp the concept of mates. All I know is that I belong here, even if it means I can't be a proper mate, I can still be a proper Warrior for the new pack and finally return to my true Home." Jaxon explained to Candice who smiled and nodded.

They walked in silence through the rest of the house and insuring that it was ready for the visitors. Candice considered what it would mean to her to get involved with this man, she did feel a draw to him, but could she share him with her Alpha on those times when she came to heat? For the cats it was different, their heat came every two years and sometimes longer if they are still raising a child. Wolves came to heat much quicker then that. Could she really share him for a week every two or more years with her Alpha? She asked herself and smiled, yes, yes she could, she decided. She yelped as she was grabbed and spun around, lips crashing to her own. She felt herself melt against the big man and kissed Jaxon in return.

"Wow..." Candice gasped as the kiss ended. She stepped back from him and gazed up at him.

"If you can handle this between us, I am all in, believe me. But we need to tell our Alpha about you and I before we move beyond any of this between us." Candice said in a slightly breathless tone.

"She has gone to bed for the night, I guess too many people around her is stressing her a bit." Jaxon replied, he could sense her feelings but only on a very small degree compared to what he was told to expect between mates.

"You may have to properly mate her, before we can be together?" Candace asked. This was all new to her now as she had never expected any of this to happen. In everything she knew about pack life and being a wolf, she had never heard of anything like this, the sharing of mates, no wolf would ever stand for it, they were too possessive.

"No.." a new voice said and they watched as Torie and Clare came in from the shadows. Both Jaxon and Candace looked down at their feet, feeling like they had been caught doing something wrong and against their Alpha.

"We knew you found attraction to each other, that is why we asked Jaxon to join you. Our Warriors would never not listen to Candice, in the structure we have, she out ranks them." Torie explained to Jaxon who just smiled at hearing that about the young Omega. Candice blushed a bit when being reminded of her station.

"And no, we will not be marked by you Jaxon, nor shall we mark you. That honor goes to the one whose heart is your own. All we ask is that you do not fully reject us, so we may enjoy your company during the time of heat so we may possibly conceive an heir one day." Torie said softly.

"So you are not going to claim me as a Luna?" Jaxon asked with a grin. He had secretly hated the idea of being called Luna Jaxon, for him a Luna was a female and cared for the Children of the pack and watched over the pack itself while the Alpha took care of outside affairs and ran off to war to defend the pack. Torie laughed and shook her head.

"You will be First Beta, Chris has already asked if he may retire once this trial is over. He is far older then you and I, he needs his time of peace before Luna calls him home." Torie explained and everyone became somber at those words, then she looked to Clare, "Clare will be Luna, and if you claim Candice as your own, Candice will be Clare's First Beta." she said smiling at Jaxon and Candice who looked a bit shocked.

"Jaxon, kneel and submit.." Torie ordered, Jaxon did not hesitate and did as he was told. He felt her lay her hand on his head and felt the bond snap into place between him and his new pack. He heard the many calls of congratulations and the warm feeling of home return to him, he had missed it a lot.

"Everyone welcome our new Second Beta, Jaxon, and your new Luna, Clare." Torie sent out to the pack, everyone was joyous over the news that they now had a proper pack with both an Alpha and a Luna to guide and hold them together. Jaxon was still at a loss about the whole sharing thing, but his cat seemed quite pleased by the whole prospect. Jaxon just smiled to himself, it had to be a cat thing and sense he did not grow up in a pride or fully with cats, he would just go with the flow so long as he and his cat were able to accept it.

"Thank you Alpha Torie, we will not let you down." Jaxon said finally even as he gently guided Candice to his side. Candice blushed slightly while still feeling quite thrilled to begin a new life in a new pack and with a new... mate? She wasn't sure he was a second chance mate, but she knew she could fall in love with him easily and felt like she was already doing that.

"You two should stay in this house or don't you recognize your parents old house, Jaxon?" Torie asked. She had found out from Chris that Jaxon's parents and Jaxon himself had lived here before the War started.

"I'm sorry Alpha, we were so busy talking, I just didn't even think." Jaxon said quickly while looking at the House for the first time really looking at it.

"It really is Home.." he whispered as he stared at the old structure. It was one of the few that had survived the bombings and the fires that the bombs had created.

"It really is, welcome home Jaxon." Torie whispered and felt Clare swipe away a lone tear then smiled at her for a moment. "No visitor's were assigned to this Home, so go ahead, from what I hear, it's already been restocked with food and drink." Torie added while she and Clare slipped into the shadows and the darkness covered them.

"How she does that is a mystery to me.." Candice admitted while squinting into the darkness, try as she might, she could not see her Alpha or her Luna.

"Cats tend to do that.." Jaxon replied while softly laughing. He led Candice into the house once more.

"What shall you do now?" Candice asked even as Jaxon closed the door and she found herself backed to the wall and stared up into his eyes. She could tell his cat was very much forward in his mind.

"Can you share when your Alpha needs us?" He demanded of her and she nodded quickly.

"Yes, always.." she admitted and found she meant it with all her heart.

"Then we claim what is ours.." his Cat told her and she felt herself respond to his desire for her. Candice had never been or felt so wanted, desired and loved as she did that night in Jaxon's bed, now their bed as she ran her fingers over the mating scar on her shoulder. It sent tingles of pleasure through her body whenever he would touch it or she would, he may just be her second chance mate after all, she thought to herself.

Torie and Clare slipped through the forest enjoying their cat forms and playing tag as they ran through the wilderness. They were not entirely alone either as many of the pack had joined in the game along with several Alpha's with their mates and Beta's. The games went on for several more hours and as time went so did their numbers dwindle until only Torie and Clare were left by themselves at the waterfalls.

Torie took her time in enjoying Clare's body, Clare had never felt anything like what was happening now to her and as she felt her release coming to her she felt her Beloved mark her as her own. Then she took her time with her new mate and as she felt her mate's release come to her she marked Torie as her own. Both lay breathless and panting softly while trying to remember how to breath once more.

"We really are mates, I wasn't sure at first, I mean I felt drawn to you. But I never thought it was like this or that you would ever want me like this." Clare said softly. She felt her cat purr inside her when Torie pulled her closer.

"The Beloved doesn't work like Mates do for wolves, it is different yet the same." Torie whispered and held Clare to her side. Torie frowned a bit as she remembered something.

"You will gain abilities now, we need to get you home as they do come quickly and with out notice." she said and was soon running at full speed towards the pack house with Clare in her arms bridal style.

"Alpha? What's wrong?" Chris asked as Torie stopped just inside the door.

"She accepted the bond and I marked her." Torie said while catching her breath. Chris smiled happily.

"That great!" he nearly shouted then stopped and his smile turned upside down, "Oh shit, couldn't you two of waited until after they all left?" he asked looking around. A low warning rumble stopped him from saying much else.

"Sorry Alpha, but I do see the problem.. the cells, we can make them more comfortable for you both?" he suggested. Torie nodded.

"I still don't see the problem." Clare stated.

"Remember the cell door that had to be replaced?" Chris asked and Clare paled.

"Oh shit.." she exclaimed.

"Exactly.." Chris muttered then added, "You two will be the death of me yet.."

"Oh quit complaining.." Torie said with a grin and Chris winked back. Torie froze a moment and Chris bounced off her back like he'd hit a brick wall.

"A bit of warning please Alpha.." he grumbled as he got back up to his feet.

"Jaxon, he's marked Candice, I can feel it. They don't know what will happen, Chris?" Torie stated. Chris had spun around and was already running off.

"On it.. get into the last cell, we'll get another cell ready for them." Chris called back. Torie carried Clare into the mentioned cell and placed her on the large twin bed then laid down beside her. Several minutes later she heard Jaxon, Candice and Chris entering the cell area, Jaxon and Candice noticed the Alpha and Luna in the cell next to theirs.

"You too huh?" Jaxon asked with a grin. Torie just laughed and nodded.

For Torie and Jaxon the night was hard to deal with, they watched helplessly as their mates went through the painful changes that came with being a Genetic Cats mate. Both sweated with high fevers, hallucinations of their worst nightmares and felt their bodies contort in ways they never thought possible. Through it all Torie and Jaxon offered the comfort they could provide by just being with them through it all.

At times their mates would just lay on the beds panting through the fevers and Jax would learn more of Torie's life. He was shocked by it all, she had killed men at the young age of fifteen and thought nothing of it. It both saddened him and on some level made him proud that she could overcome such adversity and be in this place now. It also explained more fully why she was just out of reach with her wolf nature, because she never grew up with the wolf nurturing that everyone else had received.

When morning came, Candice was much stronger and faster and she could also teleport and heal others along with her own speed healing. It gave Jaxon peace of mind to know his mate could heal from most anything done to her within reason.

Clare gained strength, speed, stamina, agility and she had the near instant healing that Clare and the others shared along with one more ability, she was a Juggernaut, just like all the Greywolf's and their mates.

"Luna.. I feel wonderful, but I hate how that felt, thought I was dying." Clare admitted while everyone else nodded in agreement.

"Wait a minute, you mean all the genetics' have to go through that, even our children?" Candice asked Torie and Jaxon.

"As children they will gain one or two abilities, whatever helps them or is needed. This is decided by Luna. Then on their 18th Birthday, they gain whatever else is still within them. With mates and turns, well they get it all at once if they are over 18 already, so it's a huge adjustment." Jaxon explained as they listened.

"Besides they are already predisposition at birth to accept these abilities. For us it was bad, but not that bad." Torie added and Jaxon smiled lightly.

"We should get cleaned up and get ready for the Confirmation." Clare said and they all went off to their rooms to shower and get ready.

Torie with Clare beside her sat in her place as the Alpha Council Members arrived one by one to take a seat on the raised platform before her. Everyone was waiting to see what they would need from her to show proof over what she was claiming, to be the sole survivor of the Greywolf line.

"We have all seen your power displayed last night during the reception on the line. But that doesn't mean you are one of Raven's children. That sort of power can born into anyone." Alpha Elder Charles called out, he for one believed she was who she said she is, others were just being stupid and stubborn. Torie nodded and stood up..

"Perhaps. I. should. do. something.to. show. off?" she asked as each word had her appearing in a different location within the room and ending with her standing behind them. Several gasped as she displayed her teleport ability, she rarely ever used it. Clare was grinning from ear to ear as was Jaxon and Candice. The very next instant she was back at her chair, Chris walked up and fired a.45 straight into her chest as others cried out and several rushed forwards.

Torie remained unmoved and nodded to Chris who set down the gun before anyone could get hurt. Torie waved off the warriors and they nodded and retook their posts. No one had been warned of that particular demonstration and Clare batted at Torie's shoulder.

"Dumb ass.." Clare muttered. Torie just hugged her.

"I believe you are your Mothers Daughter, Torie Greywolf, Welcome Home. Now can you explain what happened to you before and during the War?" the same Council Member asked. Torie explained how she'd been put on the bus, how the bus had been stopped and how her Grandfather had thrown her clear of the Bus just before the explosion.

She went on to explain how she'd lived and survived out in the wilds alone, then she paused and looked around.

"For the next part, we will need Alpha Commands on every pack member to remain silent as to what is heard here this day." She explained and the Council nodded in agreement.

"It is so ordered by this Council that all Alpha's are required by pack and Council Law to uphold the silence, to break this will be your Death and the dissolution of your pack and territories. If you can not abide by this, then you are asked to leave with no reflection on you or your pack or pride." the Council Member Stated. Several Alpha's got up and left the meeting.

"When I was ten I was approached and recruited by the Government and trained as an assassin." she paused as she heard several shouts of anger. "At the time I was under the impression that I was training to be able to defend myself better, lets face it a child does not stand much of a chance alone." she added and Clare took hold of her hand.

"After five years of training I was sent on my first mission, a small time drug lord in the City of Los Angeles. I slipped inside, slit his throat and slipped out with out leaving a trace." she explained and sighed softly.

"I see, but there is more, isn't there?" the Council Member stated and Torie nodded.

"I was given a code name, Shiva the Destroyer of Worlds.." she said slowly. The area erupted in chaos and she stood motionless while watching the Council Member. The other Members were yelling for silence, but the Chaos was only growing. Clare roared loudly letting her power push outwards and silence stilled the area.

"Was it you, who killed Carlos?" the Member asked and Torie nodded. Carlos was one of many within the criminal elements she had killed, the only difference was, he'd been a Werewolf. Before the shouts could begin Clare yelled out loud for silence.

"Chris please pull up the projector screen." Torie said quietly while still gazing at the Council Member. When the projector came on she turned to look at the familiar documents.

"His name came up on several searches through the different Agencies, namely that he was working for a drug Cartel based out of Mexico. He allowed drug runners to pass freely across pack territories and paid off whoever he had to in order for them to look the other way." Torie explained and used a remote to flip through several photo's of people getting paid off. Now more growls were heard but not directed at her as several Alpha's started to recognize their own people being paid off.

"If he had simply done just that and nothing more, I would not have been called in. Except he got greedy, and stupid. He started capturing Government Agents, torturing them or their families in order to gain more information. He was even torturing Wolves who would not play his game, or taking members of their family to gain their submission." Torie explained. Someone stood up and Torie looked over,

"Four or five years ago when he was found dead, about three months later, several missing family members just suddenly showed up on pack borders, that was you?" the Alpha asked and Torie nodded.

"But none of them could ever say how they got away or who saved them." he said in continuing.

"I wore a ski mask and goggles with over sized clothes, I never spoke to them and had to hold them a few weeks in order to assure their safety. I am sorry if they were distressed more then needed, but I could not allow anyone to know it was me." Torie explained while they nodded. Torie went back to the slides and as a group they listened as she spoke of everything she had done for this group and as Shiva.

"Remarkable..." one of the Alpha's said at the end of her speech.

"No one ever suspected that Shiva was a Shifter, or a man or a woman as no one ever saw me or heard me speak. And I only ever went after those who were true Monsters working against the innocent for their own gains." Torie said in finishing and sat down as the projector was shut down as well.

"I am curious why they have not come after you." another Alpha called out.

"I have kept not only meticulous records of each and every job I was assigned to, but I also have the phone logs of each order called in from the Director of Black Ops within the CIA to the Commander of the facility I was trained at from the start of all of this." Torie answered which had several chuckling lightly.

"I can imagine that would do it." another Alpha commented.

"Too bad we can't put them on trial, using a defenseless girl like that, what is wrong with them?" a Council Member commented.

"Council Member, you will be trying the Commander of that Training Base, He is in our cells even as we speak and he was brought in by Alpha Carter." Torie replied. The reaction was instant as demands for his head were heard over and over again. Many were trying to fight off a shift to their Wolves and Cats, Jaxon was not so lucky and shifted to his cat who wanted blood more then ever.
