The Ebony Alpha Ch 26

Hi everyone. Just a few notes. I am introducing a new villain, but this story will end without her.

Hopefully the next story I write will include her. This tale will end soon. It's in my mind but putting it all down is difficult.

Thanks for hanging in there with me and hopefully I will update sooner than later.

Sultry

The clearing was eerily quiet as everyone took in the scene before them. Jacques cringed as a strangled cry escaped the man behind him.

Andrew Guyon burst into the clearing and looked at his dying wife. He picked her up and gently laid her down on the ground.

With his supernatural vision he located the silver bullet that was lodged inside of her heart. If he reached in to pull it out she would just die sooner.

He sighed loudly and picked her up once more. He cradled his wife in his arms.

"Jacques; you know what I have to do. I can't just let her die. Tell Drusilla that I am taking her with me. I will contact you all after she is ready to face the world again."

"Take her to the mating cabin, it is just inside the forest east of the dining hall, you can't miss it." Silas told his new friend with a heavy heart.

Andrew was just standing there, and then with a swoosh of air he was gone.

The crowd turned to Fabio who was a sight to see. Every man there was mated and glad of it. No one wanted to experience the torture that Fabio was going through right now.

"Toss the nets and secure him to the ground." Jacques barked out and Fabio was captured like a wild beast.

"Drusilla can cast a spell to incapacitate him and we can transport him to North Dakota to face the new Council there.

"Why don't we just kill him now?" a feminine voice asked from the crowd. Louisa walked up to Joe and hugged his waist.

"This man has caused up so much pain and suffering. I want him eradicated from the planet."

"That is not for you to decide my child." Jacques scolded his daughter.

"We will follow the law; we are not vigilantes to take matters into our own hands."

Joe hugged Louisa close to him and kissed her sweet lips. "Umm sweet potato pie, my favorite. Take me home my sweet."

"Oh by the way Stephan that was a great shot. You and Drusilla should be commended for your great work. That is a secret weapon our enemies will never want to face." Jacques clapped Stephan on his back as they left the clearing.

Fabio was still on the ground. His body would be shifting for hours to come. Some hoped he would make it through the night, others did not.

As the night grew darker and the Moon shone through the night Luna smiled down on her children and protected them as they slept.

But for one errant child she had plans. The small beam of light that settled on the man lying on the ground slowly grew bigger until it covered his whole body.

Fabio had come to his senses hours ago when the potion had finally worn off. He was fully aware of the light that had encompassed his body.

He had fallen into a gulf of self-pity and wondered what the hell was happening now. His plan had gone horribly wrong. Joe Chambers' wolf definitely wasn't asleep.

That bastard had transformed right before his eyes. He was so big that he knew that winning was not in his future. He hadn't planned on cheating.

Hell he thought that he had the upper hand, but he knew he was done for and he had to do something.

Throwing dirt or sand in someone's eyes was juvenile, but it always worked if done correctly.

But Joe somehow knew what was coming and he had been set up.

Carlotta must have tipped them off. That bitch proved she couldn't be trusted and now she was probably telling all his secrets to the Were Council.

"Hello Fabio." An eerie voice called into the night air.

"Who's there?" The startled wolf asked the darkness. The light surrounding him made it impossible to see into the darkness.

"It is I, the Goddess of your people, Luna the one you said had no control over you. "

"Get the fuck out of here. Luna is a myth. I am real. Carlotta is that you fooling around? Show yourself you bitch!"

Suddenly the silver chains imprisoning him began to heat up. The light intensified and became blindingly bright.

"No one thinks that the Moon has any power, but I will show you that I pack as much heat as my brother the Sun. You will not return to me. I won't accept you Fabio Marconi."

Fabio screamed in pain. His skin was actually frying from the heat and blisters were beginning to form everywhere the chains touched his body.

"You have denied my hold over you and therefor I deny you another life. Your funeral fire will be right now and there will be no goodbyes or pyre for the likes of you."

The screams of Fabio could be heard throughout the compound. As the pack turned on their lights and got out of bed, Fabio burned to the bone.

As they followed the sounds of agony his bones turned to ash and a chilling north wind started to blow. By the time the pack arrived in the pecan grove the only thing left where Fabio had been was the imprint of his body.

The grass around him was charred, but the grove had come to no harm.

"My Family." Silas called out to his pack. "Luna has answered our prayers this night. She has taken our enemy into her own hands and now we have real peace in our lives."

Silas pointed at the singed spot on the ground and lifted his hands in the air to the moon. He threw back his head and howled to his Goddess in thanks.

All of the pack fell down and cried out praises to Luna howling in unison. After a few minutes they all rose and went back home.

"We will remove this rubbish tomorrow for now we shall sleep." Silas started to follow the pack back to the compound; when he saw the confused faces of Raphael and Drusilla.

Drusilla and Raphael were confused. They hadn't seen her mother or father since this afternoon and they knew something was terribly wrong. Carlotta and Andrew were missing, and no one was talking.

Silas took pity on Dru and Raphael and called them to his office since they were up anyway.

After they were settled in his study Silas sighed loudly and looked at the two people before him.

"I have some bad news for you Drusilla and I think that you may want to take some time to yourself after I'm finished."

"It's my parents isn't it Alpha? Where are they? Please Alpha I feel something is terribly wrong."

"Drusilla the man you met as your father was really Fabio Marconi impersonating him. Your mother was helping him to do so and they were here on a mission of revenge."

Drusilla was speechless. She had felt that something wasn't right but she just couldn't put her finger on it.

"Your real father; Andrew Guyon is a Vampire Drusilla. But it wasn't something that you would have known since he never told you. But Carlotta did know."

"

But why wasn't she a Vampire too? I know they loved each other."

"I know your father loved your mother very much and he is proving that to her right now."

"Please explain Alpha, I am not following you." Raphael finally said,

"Today Fabio impersonating your father decided to exact revenge against Joe. We were aware of him and his plan and set a trap for him. Instead of coming on the tour alone he forced your mother to come."

"She never looked as if she was being forced to do anything." Raphael interjected thinking back on to all he had observed.

"Wait a minute; my mother gave me all of her diaries for my Christmas present. She was urging me to read them as soon as possible. I think she was trying to warn me." Drusilla began to weep and Raphael pulled her into his arms.

"I owe your mother a great deal Drusilla. Today she proved herself to be a hero. She saved my son's life and I will forever be in her debt."

"What did she do?" Raphael asked.

"When Fabio saw that he couldn't beat Joe fairly he resorted to using a gun loaded with silver bullets. Your mother jumped in front of Joe and took the bullet meant for him."

"Where is she now? Is she in the medical wing I want to see her now?"

"I am afraid that she is not. The shot was fatal my dear."

"

NO!" Drusilla screamed. "We had just reconciled I wanted so much more time with her." Dru's tears flowed freely and Raphael held onto her for dear life.

"All may not be lost my child." Silas said hopefully. "Your real father took her away with him. He promised to contact us when Carlotta could be seen again."

"What the hell does that mean? Is he going to arrange her funeral and let us know the details?"

"Actually Drusilla I think your father had something else in mind. As I said the shot was fatal. She was dying. I think your father was going to change her."

"Change her into what? Wait Oh my Luna you mean into a Vampire?" Drusilla asked as she suddenly understood his words.

"If your mother agrees to the change it will be painless and a seamless transition. But if he changes her without her knowledge she may have a hard time accepting her new situation. Then it will take longer for her to make her way back to us."

Drusilla had stopped crying and now an empty feeling enveloped her body. Her stillness alarmed Raphael and he scooped her up into his arms.

"Thank you Alpha for taking the time to let us know what has occurred. We will now take our leave."

"You are welcome Raphael and if you have any questions feel free to come back and we will talk again."

As the door closed behind them, Silas sighed again. Sometimes his job of Alpha was just too much. Telling a child that their mother may be dead was a first for him and he didn't want to ever do that again.

He just hoped that Andrew was able to talk with Carlotta before she died. If not he knew he would change her anyway. That man really loved that woman and he was going to do whatever he had to do to save her life.

Andrew almost flew over the ground he was moving so fast. He made it to the mating cabin and locked the door behind him.

He was lucky that Silas suggested this place, and he laid Carlotta down on the sofa. She was still breathing and he knew his time was running out.

"Carlotta can you hear me baby. It's me Andrew."

She opened her eyes and tried very hard to speak. She couldn't believe it!

It was really him! It was really him! There was no mistaking his unique aroma; no other man smelled the way he did.

"Andrew, I'm sorry."

"Shhhh my love. I have one question for you. Will you join me as my mate and live with me forever?"

Carlotta opened her mouth but blood curdled her speech. She looked at Andrew once more and nodded her head in the affirmative. Tears pooled in her eyes and slowly flowed down her cheeks.

"I promise; you won't regret this love! It is what I have always wanted."

Not wasting any more time Andrew bit Carlotta for the first time in their lives together. Her blood tasted just as sweet as it smelled and he drained her near to death before he pulled himself away.

Slicing a vein in his wrist, he fed her his blood forcing her to drink. She sucked weakly at first, but soon Andrew had to pull her away from him.

"Enough my love you need to rest. Your transformation will take its toll on you and you will need your strength."

As the love of his life slept Andrew thought back to his promise to himself. He had sworn that he would never make Carlotta like he was.

She had begged him at first but as they went on with their lives together; she had finally stopped asking. Now he had done what he never wanted to. But he wasn't sorry.

Now they would be there for each other forever. He would enjoy teaching her about her new life and the sex would be fantastic.

He had longed for her body for so long and now the wait was over.Now all they had to do was face Drusilla. How would she react to the new Carlotta? It shouldn't be a big deal. Now they were all pretty much immortal.

If things went their way they could live a very long time. The thought of Carlotta dying before he could speak to her had spurred him into action.

He just hoped that all the things she did to help Fabio could be explained. As much as he loved her, he would find it hard to live with someone who had willingly helped an evil man like Fabio Marconi.

Carlotta's scent washed over him and he licked his lips. He had always known she would taste delicious. The sweetness of her blood was like red clover honey. He could get used to a diet of that.

He touched her face as she lay sleeping and traced the outline of her mouth with his fingertips.

Noticing for the first time that she was covered with blood he began to undress her. It was amazing the changes his super perceptive eyes saw her body undergoing.

Her slightly sagging breasts plumped up under his heated gaze. The crow's feet around her eyes slowly disappeared and the frown lines on her forehead smoothed out. Carlotta's hair grew long and luxurious almost as if it had a life of its own.

Andrew couldn't help but run his fingers through its tresses. He sighed at the feel of it and smiled when he saw her stomach flatten next. The bullet holes were also disappearing.

He had been a vampire for so long that he had never taken into account the beauty of his kind. He always found Carlotta quite enchanting and now she was becoming even more so as he watched her body change.

It seemed that as his venom flowed through her body it transformed her appearance. He hoped that she would like the change because he sure did. Smiling he looked at his new charge and whispered in her ear.

"Soon my love I will show you how much I've missed you and give you the unrestrained passion that lies inside of me." Andrew kissed her lips and pulled her close. Daring to dream of what could be.

Unfortunately this was a deed that would not go without repercussions. He had not gained permission from his sire and since her blood was ancient; she had to make the decision.

Ursula would have to wait. For now Carlotta was the only thing that mattered to him. She had finally become his mate.

Drusilla rushed into the house and up the stairs to the bedroom. She opened her nightstand and pulled out the flash drive her mother had given her.

There was something her mother wanted her to see on that file and she couldn't wait until morning to see it. Crossing the hallway to their office she turned on her laptop and waited for it to load.

Her mother couldn't be dead no matter what Silas had told them. If her father was going to give the gift of immortality to her mother, she wouldn't protest it.

Her goal was to check her Mother's journal entries to find out what her state of mind was and try to make sure she was not helping Fabio Marconi voluntarily.

Suddenly Drusilla stopped and sat down with a heavy thud. Her mother was dead or undead, whatever the case may be.

She would no longer be the mother she had known all of her life. She would smell different and look different. She would become even more beautiful and that would be a feat in itself. Her mother had taken very good care of herself and it showed.

They would look more like sisters than mother and child. But it was the death thing that really gave her pause. She had been shot by Fabio and had saved Joe's life.

Shouldn't that mean something to the Were Council? Silas said he was indebted to her mother.

Drusilla was sure he would relay his feelings to the new members.

Sighing she placed the flash drive down on the desk and returned to her bedroom. She needed Raphael more than she needed to know what was on that disk.

Walking back into their bedroom she ran to Raphy and sat on his lap. She rested her head on his shoulder and snuggled into his body as much as she could.

"Are you alright Babe?" He asked his eyes large with concern.

"I will be. Whenever my father returns with my mother we will talk about everything that has happened. For now I just want to try and get some sleep."

"I have a little news for you; your Father took your mother to the mating cabin, so they are still here on pack lands."

"They are so close I could go check on them and make sure they are doing Okay."

"Silas told me not to disturb them. The change takes a while and I really don't know much about it other than that."

"Well He didn't tell me so I don't have to honor his request."

"Dru he meant the both of us. I don't want us to cause any trouble. After all it was our fault that Carlotta and Fabio came here."

"No it was Fabio's fault. We didn't know who he really was. I really thought he was my Dad."

"Well just don't do anything crazy. I know how you feel and I will support you whatever you decide to do."

Drusilla leaned in and gave Raphael a heartfelt kiss. He was a good man and he proved it to her more and more each day. Yes she was very lucky and she would make sure she kept it that way.

"Do you think they will need blood? My Father wouldn't dare take his sustenance here. I'm sure Jacques has his err...supplies don't you think?"

"Dru I already know what you are thinking but I can't let you do that. Jacques Metairie is surely taking care of everything your Mother and Father may have need of."

"I don't care I'm still going to see him and find out if he will make an exception for me. After all they are

my

parents."

Raphael knew he wouldn't win this fight so he sighed loudly and pulled his headstrong mate into his arms.

"I won't fight you on this, but promise me that you will abide by whatever Jacques says. Please Drusilla can you do that for me?"

Drusilla looked at her mate and suddenly saw the weary look in his eyes. He had suffered much with her fool hardiness and she should at least try to give him a break.

"I promise Raphy. Now take me to bed."

"I thought you were going to read your Mother's journals tonight? What happened?"

"I changed my mind. I would rather that she tells me herself than to read it. If my Father is successful in transforming my mother we should have all the time in the world to catch up so to speak."

"You have given this a lot of thought I see." Raphael said

"More that you know. If I knew that my magic would make things go faster I would use it to do so. But it would only make things worse. I guess everything will come in its own time."

"Why wouldn't your mother use her magic to zap Fabio or something? She is very powerful isn't she?"

"Yes she is but I never really understood why she did the things that she did either. That will be a question I ask her when we meet again."

"But you see my fair Drusilla that is why she gave you her journals. I think you should reconsider reading them. What if your Father takes her away? At least she left something of herself for you to keep."

Drusilla looked at Raphael and rolled her eyes. Why did he have to be so smart? He could always calm her down and make her see reason.

"Okay Raphy. I will give you this one. I have put you through a lot over the past few days and I just want you to know that I appreciate your patience with me."

Pulling her tighter against him Raphael whispered in her ear. "I knew you were a smart little witch. I was sure you would figure things out all on your own anyhow."

"How about I show you just how smart I really am?"

"You mean that we can do the levitation thing?" He said anticipation written all over his face.

"Yes you naughty little boy. We can levitate." Drusilla waved her delicate little hand and Raphael felt his body begin to rise until it was about six inches off the bed.

Even though that doesn't seem very high to some folk it was just enough to feel as if you were floating. Especially since you are.

Dru followed him up and hovered above him, her breast hanging enticingly above his large mouth. Raphy grabbed a pink nipple with his mouth and sucked feverishly. Her moans urging him to continue, he switched sides and applied just as much attention to its twin.
