The Hammerpedes wanted to establish how they could operate independently of their slaves, and their nests.
After extensive research, they launched two plans to experiment on more female humans. They need places where they could locate suitable females, subdue them without being detected by others and have enough time to subjugate their minds in order to convert them into future breeding slaves.
Selima the student at Medical school who had been converted the previous week along with her sister Layla, was was assigned a juvenile to take into her university hall of residence, Lina took a pair of mature Hammerpedes and 5 juveniles to Hampstead Heath an area of open parkland in North London.
Elsa was from the port city of Hamburg in Germany and had been living in London for nearly a year.
She worked for the German Diplomatic service and London had been her first foreign post. She was enjoying the novelty of living abroad, and the opportunities for career advancement.
She was 23, and naturally talented at languages she was fluent in French, English and Portuguese. That aside she was athletic, being a gym member, enjoying swimming and being a runner, having been on her University's track team. Tall and graceful, she carried herself with the poise expected of her profession. She had her brunette hair neatly pulled back in a ponytail a practical choice that complements her sharp features and the earnestness in her deep blue eyes. Although beautiful she has a slightly defensive demeanour fearful of not being taken seriously, she kept her playful side hidden.
On Saturday afternoon after shopping, and cleaning her small flat she went to Hampstead Heath for some alone time with some magazines, she liked the park, and its wide open space, she often ran there. Today was just relaxing alone so she chose a more secluded area where the grass was left to grow longer to encourage wildlife, she liked the privacy afforded her there, secure in the knowledge that the park was safe and full of people. She had even seen women sunbathing topless there.
She had on a light summer dress with a floral pattern and still had on her sports underwear, she would shower and change later. "Here looks good" she thought to herself in, forcing herself to think in English as she wanted to improve her language skills. Not too difficult given the germanic roots of English.
She took out a picnic blanket and spread it out, pressing down the grass until it was fairly flat, and lay down, closing her eyes as she enjoyed relaxing in the warm sun. The park was quiet, the hum of bees in the surrounding bushes was louder than the distant sound of traffic on the roads around the park. It was peaceful.
The Hammperpedes had been monitoring that area of the park, they detected Elsa's heartbeat from the tiny electrical signals, it noted that she had stopped and there were no other people within 50 metres of the heartbeat, so a pair of them cautiously glided from under some bushes and through the long grass towards their prey.
Within 10 metres the pair of Hammerpedes stopped and the larger Hammperpede raised its head to check the air. It unfolded its hood, exposing its mouth so it could analyse the air, it picked up chemicals in the air including pheromones from Elsa, which were secreted from her skin and her vagina. It analysed these and they told it that the heartbeat was female and of breeding age. She met the mission parameters. The Hammerpede sunk down again and both Hammerpedes proceeded slowly and cautiously.
A couple of meters away from Elsa's blanket, the two Hammerpedes split up and went to either side of Elsa, silent and nearly invisible in the long grass, their nearly transparent bodies making them easy to miss, stalking their prey with deadly precision.
After a busy stressful week and hard work that morning Elsa was drowsy and relaxed. She had no that she was being hunted.
Despite their cautious approach, the Hammerpedes were in position within a minute. The slow heartbeat and low brain activity indicated their prey was suitable. They paused as a cyclist passed 30 meters away, finally everything was ready. The larger Hammerpede initiated the attack; it crossed the blanket with rapid serpentine undulations of its firm rubbery body barely making any noise on the blanket and without Elsa noticing. Its cobra-like hood unfurled, its gaping mouth latching onto her neck like a suction cup and its single fang bit her directly into her jugular vein almost simultaneously the smaller Hammerpede struck the other side of her neck.
Elsa squeaked in surprise thinking that a wasp had stung her. Her hand went to her throat only to find the slim muscular snake-like body of the Hammerpede, firm and rubberly twisting around her neck. Primordial fear gripped her as she tried to rise but her strength quickly left her as the cocktail of neurotoxins hit her brain, she had managed to half rise off the blanket before with a soft sigh she sank back down. She had not reached above the height of the tall grass, nor did anyone react to her squeal, it had not been very loud and London after all is a busy city.
Her legs jerked a little as she tried to resist, but within seconds her muscles relaxed and she lay still and defenceless.
The compounds in the venom had first taken her body, they were also taking her mind. The sedatives made her feel confused and disconnected from reality, and powerful hypnotics, made her forget the attack, and her fear and left her vulnerable to suggestion. Very potent aphrodisiacs stimulated her brain and body tricking her brain into releasing significant quantities of feel-good hormones, they also made her body sensitive and available to sexual stimuli.
