Silver Moon Vignette 03

These short stories are simply filler material for stories that simply couldn't be added to Silver Moon. They are unedited and simply knocked out for your viewing pleasure. I will indicate what chapter the mini-stories should be with as well. Oh, since I have had a few complain about 'nudity' I am going to say that any and all sex is 18+ and any underage nudity is simply because they are lycan's and there isn't anything wrong with it.

I hope you enjoy these as they expand on the main story. Oh, there might be some minor discrepancies but ignore them. This series of vignettes are simply sort of expanding on the main story. If something is different than the main story go with what is in the main story.

I am sort of mangling the English language with how the cubs are talking. I know it isn't quite perfect but then again it has been a good 17 or so years since I last heard little ones talking. I do hope you enjoy it. Oh, any sex is 18+. When talking the pups it is totally asexual and if you have problems that is your issue.

Vignette 3

Gianni was very impressed by her new Alpha after he had taken over. He had actually knelt down and looked at her when she asked him why they didn't get to do what the adults had done. When she had informed him that she was a wolf as well and changed he had looked totally shocked. That had been really strange and she couldn't help but wonder why.

His reaction when he picked her up in her cub form he had gathered her close and it had given her a chance to sense what he was feeling. How she had managed that she didn't know but she had been able to do it for some time. It helped keep the other cubs from having to deal with their former Alpha. It was something that her mother told her she had to be careful of as soon as Julia had found out.

One thing her little nose had noticed was a scent of a deep sadness and that had really upset her. She didn't know why he had the scent of the deep abiding sadness but it really hurt her. Giani didn't know if it would help but she gave him a good hug before he put her down and told her to go back to her mother.

She knew that he was going to protect all of them. How she wasn't really sure but her baby wolf told her so. It was something her wolf had sort of scented or noticed and it felt right. The fact that her wolf occasionally told her things that it shouldn't have known had never crossed her mind. Her wolf just knew things and passed them on to her and that was one of them. They almost instantly trusted their new Alpha and also knew that he was hurting badly though she didn't know why.

During the day she had organized her minions to keep an eye on him and from what they could scent and see was he was trying. Their Alpha was trying to organize the pack in a better way. As they kept her eyes on him from some of the hiding spaces they had discovered. They noticed that he started tossing himself into working with the pack. He was picking up trash, carrying random broken pieces of wood off to one side.

One of the things that proved that was when he had protected the oldest of the cubs Paulo. Once dinner was over Giani sort of called the other young pups to their room and sort of huddled in one corner. Originally when she gathered the pups it was just the youngest since she was sure that some of the older ones would object to her plan.

It was before bath time when they had some time to themselves to play and have a bit of fun. In this case she was sitting in the corner of the room and looked at the others. "I's like new Alpha. He funny and protected Paulo and accepted us. What you think?"

The other pups sort of discussed it and most of them were sort of leaning towards their inner wolves were accepting of him. While they were talking they heard the first of many keens of Dan for his lost family and huddled close to Nancy.

She called out to Paulo since he was the oldest of the cubs and he came hurrying in as well as Shannon. They scooped most of the cubs up and wrapped their arms around them. "Shush little cubs, that is just Dan singing out his agony." His eyes started to water and he lifted his head and started keening as well. His wolf was demanding that they respond to their Alpha's agony.

The little cubs shivered and leaned into the older cubs since they weren't really sure. Eventually the keening had quit and silence reigned over the pack house. "Okay little ones go to bed and if you need me you know where I am going to be." The three oldest cubs left the room since Nancy was in the girl's room and the other two were in the boy's room. The next oldest girl was Mitzy and she was ten. They didn't realize that wasn't a good thing to do.

Most of the other cubs were between 5 and 10 and even though Giani was one of the youngest most of them looked at her. She crawled into bed and was joined by her two minions. Eventually most of the room was asleep and once they were she nudged the other two and woke them up. "We are going to find Mari." She wasn't there in the cub's room like she should be. They had no idea where she might be. It had been a while since she had been to the Alpha's quarters.

All three stripped down and changed into wolf cubs since their noses were better in that form. It took them a while to actually track Dan and Mari down. As they were searching they were being as quiet as they could and avoided any adults. Once they did they sat outside their Alpha's room for a few minutes to decide how they were going to proceed and finally Giani nudged the doggy flap and found it was open.

She was the first in and the other two slowly followed her and they weren't happy. Nobody was allowed to enter the Alpha's quarters unless asked and none of the pups had been asked ever before. Mari had but that had been for adult things and they hated the scent of that. Giani sniffed as much as possible and couldn't detect any of that stinky scent. What she did scent was pain, agony, and loss. She kept going and snuck through the doggy doors to the bedroom and her nose barely poked in and again all she scented was pain, agony, and sadness and it was their Alpha and not Mari.

She looked back at the other two and with a jerk of her head she walked into the bedroom and carefully jumped onto the bed. Dan was on one side and Mari was on the other. She snuggled close to Dan and Sammy curled up next to her. Juan settled next to Mari and she didn't smell like she had been hurt at all. There was some scent of fear but no blood. Moments later they were all asleep.

When they had snuck into the room Dan was simply too exhausted to really notice though normally he would. When the two jumped on the foot of the bed and crawled up next to him his mind sort of made him think of his children. He didn't really think twice before curling around them and pulling them close. His wolf noticed the difference in scent but knew that they were little's and accepted them as not a threat and settled down for a good sleep. The sleep they hadn't had for a long time.

Mari knew the scent since her bed was in the cubs room and she was used to finding one or more cubs in her bed by morning time. During storms or after a particularly bad day she sort of expected to have all of them in her bed. "Go sleep Juan. Nigh..." It was a mumble as she went back to sleep and didn't even think that the large warm mass pressed to her back was Dan.

The next morning was rather interesting when Dan woke up and found the cubs in his bed. Mari managed not to snicker at his reaction because she was sure he would probably smack her. She finally responded. "There are three pups Alpha since I have one as well." When he moved and told them to leave she was surprised that he didn't smack them either or force his will on them. Instead the three of them slid off the bed and she rather expected them to leave the room.

As soon as the shower came on there was a brief whispered conversation and three cubs, who had changed, snuck into the bathroom and Mari had to tuck her head into a pillow to avoid laughing out loud. It would be interesting to see how Dan dealt with the cubs. A thought struck her and for a moment she started worrying about Dan's reaction to the cubs in the shower till he started to growl at them. It really did sound like mock growling.

It wasn't too much longer before the cubs came running out and changed form and charged out of the room and they looked like they were in a good mood. She had to shake her head and waited for him to come out and managed not to show that she had an idea they were going to join him in there. She had to wonder what Giani was thinking of.

Later that evening Giani couldn't help but snicker to the other cubs about what they had done and how their Alpha had reacted this morning. "It was as if he had never had cubs join him in the shower before. That is silly. We have been bathed by Paulo, Shannon, and Nancy. Why should it be a problem for our Alpha? He is silly." She was whispering as she talked.

Several of the other cubs snickered and then sobered up. "So why did you call us Giani? What do you want?" Sarah asked. She knew that Giani was going to have some sort of plan that would probably get them in trouble. Somehow she would convince them to get into trouble but some days it was annoying.

"Danny is hurting. I talked to mommy and found out that he lost his cubs and mate not too long ago." She looked down at the floor and sniffled for a moment. "Losing Daddy was horrible and I can't imagine losing more than that." She sniffled again before looking up at them. "He took care of me and Paulo so we should take care of him."

That started a general discussion and Paulo sat off to one side and shook his head. How the heck Giani managed to talk the cubs into some of her various schemes he really wasn't sure and had even managed talk him into some of them. She just had some sort of draw to her. "So what you are talking about cub?" He asked.

"I think we should setup times for all the pups to sneak into his bed and try to comfort him." Her little face crumpled slightly and leaned against Paulo. "He hurts so bad."

Paulo lifted her up and cuddled her close. "I felt the agony last night as well little one. I also know that several of you snuck out of the room without permission." He glowered around and then sniggered. "If you are going to sneak out we need to know where you are going to be going." He rolled an eye. "If you are going to sneak out I think I have a feeling I know where you are going to be. I would say two to three cubs a night and if he starts yelling then stop. Let me know who is going to go and I will do my best to take care of any problems."

Giani leaned against the older cub and smiled. "We will take care of Pappa Alpha." She sighed and then listed the next two to go that she thought would work.

By the end of the week all the pups had sort of cycled through Dan's rooms and finally it was Paulo's time. He was not the most comfortable but since he was the oldest he accepted it. That following morning he and Dan had a long talk while Dan was taking a shower and Paulo had sort of ambushed him there. It definitely wasn't something he was willing to do but it had turned out decently and Dan hadn't beaten him. Hopefully Dan would finally understand and let the little ones try to help him.

After the run on the full moon Dan ended up sitting in his office and sort of growling at the pathetic map on the wall. It sort of showed the pack territory but it was a flat map and that didn't really help all that much. What he really needed was a terrain map but those were hard to come by since they didn't really have satellites such as what he was used to. They did have them but mostly for communications and not terrain mapping or spying. Well what little he could find didn't mention spy satellites. On the American, New Nordla continent they didn't really care since it was so broken up. There were at least 10 countries from Europe and several Native American provinces/groups in the middle. Mexico didn't exist as he knew it and neither did the other South American countries.

One thing he did know was that the pack was horribly trained when it came to using their noses and tracking abilities. They were decent but that was it. Dan really didn't like that idea and was frowning at the chances they had missed the other night. It wasn't just the pups but Dan had to wonder if the former Alpha had simply staked the cows or deer out. While he was sitting in his office he glowered at the wall and tried to figure out a way to get everything done that he needed.

He needed to figure out the finances, make sure everyone had enough food to eat, cloths to wear and all the other things that came with living. He needed to figure out a training schedule for the pack for defense as well as offence for everyone. Training with whatever weapons existed in the armory not to mention learning about the world he was now in. Now he had to add to that using your noses, tracking and killing prey, and a number of other things that a lycan needed to know. "God fuck me, I don't know what I need to do first."
