Author's Note: Hi everyone! This will likely be the last entry in the Shauna saga since this chapter concludes the original arc that I wrote. I loved writing Shauna and I am very pleased with how the story came out. I hope all of you have enjoyed the journey as well! As always, feel free to leave a comment or maybe even suggest where the story of Shauna goes from here!

"So you're telling me that the reason you look totally and completely different is because you had, and I quote, 'a growth spurt'?" my friend Hannah said in disbelief as she sat across from me at a table in the campus cafeteria.
"Yep!" I responded confidently.
"A growth spurt. In college. There isn't a plastic surgery center called 'Growth Spurt' around here is there?" she said sarcastically.
I let my jaw drop and feigned being insulted before I said, "C'mon, Hannah, like I have the money for anything like that. This is all-natural! You can touch me if you need confirmation."
"Oh, whatever Shauna, I'm just surprised and happy for you all at the same time. You look and even act like a completely different person. You're so pretty, and cute, and hot. It's nice, but also kinda scary. I mean, it wasn't like I was gone for that long."
Hannah was my best, and really my only friend from High School. We were both sort of the social outcasts from school and we instantly bonded with each other. While I stayed like a stick figure throughout school, she physically blossomed. Her body matured to the point where she had large boobs, wide hips, a big butt, and a super cute face free of any acme. After her transformation, I totally thought she would abandon me and hang out with the other popular girls.
To my surprise, she stuck by my side. Instead of flaunting her body, she covered it up with huge t-shirts that hid her chest and went past her ass. I guess in that sense, we couldn't be more different. Compared to her, I was desperate for attention. The moment I had something to show off, I flaunted it for every guy to see. She seemed simply shyer and more reserved than I was.
When we both decided to go to Wheaton College, I was so happy that I would know at least someone and wouldn't be alone. Then I learned that her father had some business to take care of in Asia last summer and he brought her with so she could visit the country of her heritage. That was nice and all, but the trip went long and so she ended up missing the first few months of the first semester. I was pretty devastated, to say the least.
The weird thing was, if she was here the whole time, maybe I wouldn't have had gone down the path I did. Maybe she could've made me feel better about myself and convinced me to not try to hunt down obscure and magical books. As sad as I was about her not being around, I was oddly thankful that she wasn't.
"I guess that I finally got out of my awkward phase. I'm just really confident with who I am now. So much so that I might have even slept with one...or a few guys," I said while blushing slightly from admitting it in front of my best friend.
"Shut up! Are you serious? Who? I mean, what did they look like? Were they cute? How was it? Did it hurt?" she said as she rapidly fired questions with a look of pure surprise on her face.
"Well, one--."
"Oh hey Shauna, I've been looking for you. Mind if I sit down?" I was interrupted as Kevin suddenly appeared next to our table with a tray full of food.
Without even waiting for permission, he sat down at the free end of our small table and immediately started to shovel food in his mouth. Damn, as lean as he was, he was always eating. I looked over at Hannah, and she looked incredulous. She looked over at me with a face that screamed, 'do you know him?'. I silently indicated I did, and her eyes went wide. She shyly looked over at him with a smile and brushed some of her black hair behind her ear. Oh yeah, I completely forgot that to a normal girl, he was unbelievably attractive. No wonder my best friend was interested. But seriously, yuck.
"I just heard from Connor that he wants you invited to the Angels and Avengers Halloween party. You must have really umm...impressed him? Anyways, the party is invite-only, and believe me, invites are very limited. It's actually a pretty big deal since the party is hosted by none other than the larger-than-life William, the third. He's like the number one Avenger at the school. Before you say it, I know, I know, you're welcome," Kevin said in a pleasant, but arrogant tone.
I was about to open my mouth to respond back when I saw him change his attention towards Hannah and said to her, "Oh hello. Sorry, I don't think we met before. I'm Kevin, and you are?"
"Hi, I'm Hannah," she sweetly and shyly said.
"Hannah, what a beautiful name for a beaut--," he started, but couldn't finish because I reached out my hand and flicked him hard on the forehead.
"Oww, what the hell Shauna?!" he said as he angrily turned back to me.
"No!" I said commandingly while I pointed a finger at him.
While he looked at me with a face that had 'why not?' written all over it, I felt a slightly painful kick against my leg. I looked over at Hannah and she had an annoyed face that also screamed, 'why not?'. I gave her a look that just said, 'trust me' and she leaned back in her chair and sulked. I looked back at Kevin and glared at him until he leaned back and went back to eating some of his food while mumbling something incoherent between his bites.
