I could clearly see the night sky as thousands of stars shined through the sky giving the moonlight captivating glow. I sigh as the night air blew through my hair causing Goosebumps to cover my skin. It was a very hot day and to feel this breeze felt like heaven for me. I pick up my water bottle taking a sip before sealing it back up. I look down from the cliff I was standing on to see my father and his workers getting ready to start digging. We currently in the middle of nowhere, the closest town was 6 hours away and what made it worst I was surrounded by thousands of trees with no service. I look back up at the moon before hopping off the cliff. I landed gracefully on the grass picking up my water and hat before making my way down the short pathway that lead to a small tent.
"Hey honey I was looking for you," said my father as i enter the tent taking a seat next to him. I sigh sitting up from the chair I was sitting on grabbing a fruit bar from the table before looking at my father. He was a very handsome men with chocolate skin and a clean shave head. What stands out from him the most was his grey eyes that I and he share.
"I was around just exploring," I said biting into my fruit bar. Yum strawberry!!
"Well please be careful there's a lot of trap around here and don't touch anything. If you find something don't touch it come get me "he said giving me a stern look.
"Yes I know" I said rolling my eyes. I had heard this speech a thousand of times. You would think he would have stop patronizing me by now. Nope still get the" don't touch nothing" speech.
"Kasey I'm serious. You destroy the finding last time."
"I know! And I'm sorry. It wasn't my fault the floor collapsed and I ended up destroying the body of a perfectly mummified king. But think about how I felt. I broke a nail in the process and my skin came in contact with that old dirty disgusted cloth thing he had one. Don't let me start on how bad he smelled. Like OMG" I said throwing my arms up in despair. Like serious I was traumatize.
"Okay Kasey don't remind me. Just go and be careful," He said turning around to talk to one of the archeologists that enter the tent with us. I sigh standing up stretching my limbs before leaving out the tent. Sometimes I wish I didn't come on these stupid boring trips but as much I hated him bossing me around I love coming on the sites. You can discover so much things sometimes I think he bring me along just to see if I would following in his footsteps. He know I like discovering new things and I always finding something that's overlook.
"What to do" I said looking around my surrounding tapping my index finger on my chin. There wasn't nothing much but a lot of trees of course the camps site and an old creepy castle. Thinking really hard i decided the old creepy castle.
The walk to the castle took less than 30 minutes I carefully walk up the short stairs leading to the door. With my flashlight in my hand I open the old rusty door with my other hand. It's supposed to be off limit but I don't see anyone stopping me so why not. The place was completely dark the only light was from the moon and my flashlight.
"This place would be great for Ghost Hunters" I laughed thinking about my favorite TV show. I bet those guys would have a field day in here. I can imagine all the ghost thy probably find in here . I closed the door behind me coughing as the dust filled the air. I cover my mouth and nose as I walk deeply into the castle stepping over trash. This place is a dumped there's writing on the wall and trash everywhere but apparently they're supposed to be a mine below this castle that lead to a gold mine. I stop and turn around trying to picture the decaying walls and stairs cases when they were in their prime. Possibly 19 or 20 hundreds maybe 18 hundreds by the painting on the walls... but hey that can be determined by the real archaeologist.
"Let start from the basement" I said to myself. I know what y'all thinking. This Bitch is crazy! Maybe so but I like to start from the bottom up. I turn into a long hallway. It remind of the hallway in Willy Wonka except this didn't get small as you walk down it. Old painting hung on the wall some with a family others was just guys on horses. But one paint stood out the most. It was a young guy maybe in his late twenties his hair was black and his eyes was a dark green. There wasn't no life in his eyes he face stood cold with no emotion. I step closer to the painting trying to get a better look. He was very beautiful captivating even he wore an army uniform and one rifle in his hand while the older he had behind his back. He stood tall and proud I would say.
William .E. Blake
The picture read I look at the handsome face one time before stepping back. I turn and continue my way down the hallway. I finally made it to what look like a door, I turned the knob and slowly push it up causing dust to invade the air.
