Chapter Three
1.
Juniper's eyes opened. She groaned gently.
She was lying on the grassy ground, on her side, and exhausted.
She was still surrounded by the fog of the forbidden area of Melilem Grove.
Juniper arose and clung to a nearby branch to support her.
The fog dissipated somewhat, and the view from the grove was now available to her.
The grove looked like a haunted forest from a bad dream. The fog covered the soil as a huge living blanket. The trees seemed angry and devil-like. The path twisted and distorted like a fairground route. Phallic fungi grew out of most trees.
Juniper looked around. She wondered when she was going to see the monster.
It was invisible. This she knew too much, and it was like a living mist.
It had a voice which was perverse, male, demonic, menacing, and tempting.
The place could twist logic and make the abnormal normal.
Junior needed a way out. She had to return home as quickly as possible.
And at that point, in the distance, Juniper thought she saw car headlights.
She was incredibly pleased. Juniper puffed and panted. She ran quicker than ever.
Juniper called in a faint voice. She got a little closer and closer.
Juniper found an automobile. The driver's seat was wide open. She quickly got in.
Luckily, the owner's keys were still in the ignition.
She turned once. She turned twice. She turned three times, and it roared.
Juniper closed the door, buckled up, and drove.
She went around the foggy forest, hoping to find a way out of here.
2.
Juniper soon arrived at a strange route, but it was far too narrow for the car.
Reluctantly, she exited the abandoned vehicle and went ahead on foot.
Gigantic trees surrounded the trail and looked darker than expected.
Juniper walked down the forest path, and she noted the path felt man made.
If it were possible for someone to come in here and make it, it gave her hope.
Juniper hoped whoever made this path in the past made it out of this situation alive.
3.
As Juniper advanced, she looked round and saw the threatening trees.
A paranoid thought in her head told her they were all watching her run away.
And then she was stuck. She looked down at herself.
Her boots were stuck in some tight holes.
She pulled and pulled, but her boots wouldn't budge.
Juniper snorted. She crouched down. She untied the shoelaces and freed her tiny feet.
She had to keep going in white socks.
Juniper soon snagged her shirt on many branches, and she glowered at them.
"Oh, for Heaven's sake," she snorted, as she unbuttoned her shirt and abandoned it.
She folded her arms around her chest to cover the black bra protecting her breasts.
Juniper looked round, trembling, walking, wondering where the exit lay.
Her burgundy shorts had got caught in many branches, and she looked furious.
She now tried loosening the offensive feelers; however, something had stopped her.
The branches moved like limbs. They tore through Juniper's shorts.
Juniper's eyes widened, while she watched the fragments fall to the ground.
She knew the trees were alive, and that they slowly undressed her.
Juniper's heart beat wildly. There were beads of sweat on her pale face.
Juniper whimpered with dismay. She did not know to what extent she'd ventured.
"I can make it back," she whispered. "I just need to outrun them pretty quickly!"
However, when she went there, she got stopped, and she saw the horrific reason.
Legions of vines had boarded the way back off -- which had formed a wall.
Juniper turned around, gulped hard, and saw the snaking vines writhe towards her.
She covered her chest with one arm and used her other hand to cover her crotch.
