Patrick looked over Chelsea's shoulder and saw what had brought her to her abrupt halt. There in the middle of their little clearing was a man, completely naked except for the hair covering his body. He was about six foot three inch, with midnight black hair and deep brown eyes. The man wasn't very muscular, but toned just enough to see that he obviously spent some time working out. The stranger saw Chelsea and Patrick staring at him and he walked over, a hand stretched out to introduce himself. "Hello, my name is Jake, and your name must be beauty because that is was you are." Jake then kissed Chelsea's hand, causing a blush to creep into her cheeks and stilled.

Patrick thought she might have died, but then she surprised everyone by pulling her hand back as though Jake had scalded it. "I am Chelsea, nice to meet you Jake." She moved closer into Pat's side which filled him with a sense of happiness. Jake's eyes moved to the man at Chelsea's side.

He gave him an angry glare, curling his lips up into a snarl. "And you are?" Pat could feel the enmity radiating off the stranger and carefully thought about his answer before replying. Before Patrick got the chance to open his mouth though, Chelsea surprised him by answering Jake's question. "This is Patrick, he is my partner." The look on Patrick's face after Chelsea's introduction confused Jake.

****

After the introductions Chelsea had asked Patrick if he could lend some clothes to Jake. Despite Jake's insistence that it was not necessary, Patrick did just as Chelsea asked. Chelsea could tell that Patrick did not like the new man, but at the same time was confused at her introduction of him, but also pleased.

Well we did just kiss in the forest, so we can't say that there is no attraction between us, besides this man kind of scares me, whereas I feel safe around Patrick.

A few hours later....

They were now sitting around the fire, Patrick cooking up a vegetable and steak soup from cans. "Tell me Jake, where are you from? I have never seen you around before, are you just a traveller?"

Jake was unsure of how to answer Chelsea's question. "Well I guess you could say that I never stay in one place for longer than necessary." Patrick noticed Jake's reluctance to answer the question, as well as Chelsea which made her doubt his trustworthiness even more.

Patrick was trying to figure out what to do about sleeping arrangements when Chelsea let out a large noisy yawn. "Well I am tired, I don't know about you two. Jake you can sleep in Patrick's tent if you like; it isn't like he is using it anyway." Patrick was shocked by her comment but made no move to correct her, keeping a calm façade. "I agree that hike really took the energy out of me, I will be in right after a wash my hands in the river."

Patrick went down to the river to wash up and was shortly joined by Jake. "Are you seriously dating her? You must be quite something in the sack to have the honour of fucking something as hot as that." Patrick was disgusted in Jake's vulgarity and whipped around to face him. A growl emitted from his lips as her turned up his lips into a snarl. "I will not tolerate you talking about Chelsea like that. I don't care what you say about me but you will not talk about her like that." Jake put his hands up in submission and backed away. "Chill man, I was only kidding."

Further up the clearing...

****

Chelsea had watched the entire encounter down by the river from the confines of the tent.

Jake really must have said something pretty bad to provoke a reaction like that.

Patrick was walking towards the tent so she quickly sat down on her sleeping bag and waited for him. "What the hell happened down there? What did he say?" Chelsea pretty much leaped at him when he walked in to make sure he wasn't hurt.

What is wrong with me? I never react this way with men.

"Nothing, Chelsea. He just said some things that were inappropriate and I just made a point of telling him so. Stop fussing I am not hurt." Chelsea dropped her hands to her side, ashamed that she had reacted in such a way.

"I am sorry Patrick; I was just making sure that you were ok. I won't invade your space again, sorry." Patrick lifted her head back up to face him then laid little kisses on both her cheeks. "There is no need to be sorry. I am flattered that you care enough about me to make sure that I am ok." Pat then leaned down to claim her lips with his own.

Chelsea was so overcome by the sensations the kiss was causing that if he wasn't holding her around the waist to his body, then her knees would have collapsed and she would have ended on the floor.

Oh damn, my camping trip started horrible, being chased by a cat, and now look at it. There is a tremendously sexy man kissing me in my tent, just my luck to find an amazing guy after so long.

Patrick slowly pushed both their bodies to the ground, never breaking the kiss. Their tongues were involved in a sensual dance with exotic moves. Chelsea thought she might have died and gone to heaven, that is how heavenly these kisses truly were.

****

Patrick finally broke the kiss, although reluctantly. He was in desperate need for a breath of air that wasn't Chelsea's.

Man, just look at her. Her lips are all swollen from kissing, job well done I say.

Chelsea was underneath Pat, eyes still closed, trying to regain her breath. "That was amazing; I have never been kissed like that before. I know this sounds cheesy but you must be an angel because that really did give me a taste of heaven."

Patrick laughed a nice throaty sound that resonated from his chest.

Me an angel, has she seen what she looks like right now.

"Hardly an angel my sweet, they seldom come to earth often, but something much better than that." Patrick's words almost went unnoticed by Chelsea, but unfortunately she did hear them and sat up with a jolt. This in turn made her hit the top of her head on Pat's chin, making him bite his tongue, resulting in blood.

Chelsea felt incredibly guilty for hurting him and fussed over him once more. "Oh Pat I am so sorry. I did not mean to hurt you, oh you're bleeding. Oh dear, what am I going to do? I am so sorry; your reply just startled me. Let me look." Pat opened his mouth to show her his tongue, but all the evidence of his injury was gone. Chelsea looked confused for a second, and then decided maybe he was never bleeding after all. She decided to ignore it and ask him what he meant by his answer.

Jake heard the commotion in Chelsea's tent and immediately thought she was hurt. He ran over to their tent and listened. When he heard her fussing over Patrick being hurt he smiled.

Bastard must have offended her. Damn, I love a woman who can defend herself.

However the more he heard the more he realised they had not been fighting at all, she just simply sat up too fast.

Geez, I thought that they were fighting; damn I almost had a shot at her, but not anymore. Not with that bloody dog around.

Jake slowly turned away and got back into his own tent, settling down to sleep for the night.

Patrick was unused to a woman other than his mother fussing over him. The feeling however did not go unwanted. Strangely he enjoyed her attention. Patrick suddenly tensed.

What the hell was that?

Patrick felt a strange feeling of being watched wash over his body bringing his wolf to the surface. HE looked towards the back of the tent, sensing something unusual there, but he could not place what it was. Eventually he just shook it off, assuming he had imagined it.

Chelsea was looking at him with a strange look on her face, her fussing forgotten. "What is it? Patrick, is it that damned panther-thing again? I swear if it is I don't think I will be staying here tonight, I do not care how late it is."

Patrick slowly turned his attention fully to her and looked at her with a puzzled expression. "To be honest with you, I have no idea what the fuck that was." He looked down and started to fiddle with the bedding nervously. "I have always been able to pinpoint these things. This has never happened." The words were directed towards himself, but they did not fall upon deaf ears. Chelsea looked at him quizzically.

****

I do not think I have ever come across someone as unusual as Patrick.

Chelsea was still watching Patrick closely. She was a little frightened by the expressions crossing his face, but kept her thoughts to herself.

Eventually Patrick snapped out of his reverie. "Sorry Chels, I don't know what the hell that was. I do not feel particularly safe about staying here the night, but I am also not so convinced that running through the forest at night is such a good idea either. I think maybe we stay here the night, leave at dawn and head to the rangers cabin to warn him. What do you think?"

Chelsea was silent for a while. "Well if you are with me I feel safer. I agree with the plan. Should we take Jake with us? I don't really feel safe around him so maybe we should warn the ranger about him too. I mean what kind of creep shows up naked at someone's camping grounds with absolutely no equipment? Do you think he could be a rapist or killer?"

****

The last words were whispered so quietly that any human ears would not have heard them, but Jake was not human was he? He heard her as clear as if she had of shouted the words.

A killer, well she was not far off the mark with that one was she, but a rapist. Well I didn't rape her when I had the chance did I?

Anger filled Jake like never before. He was seething mad, not just at the pathetic little human bitch, but also at that fucking dog that was like her pet, following her everywhere, never disagreeing with what she said.

I will show her not to mess with me, and that fucking mutt too.

Hey there guys! Thanks a bunch for readin what I have to offer. I apologise in advance for any delays in my writing, it is hard to fit in recreational writing when at Uni. I also apologise for any spelling and/or grammatical errors, and the lack of sex, just trying to build the story you know. Keeping leaving me feedback, it helps:)
