Interspecies II
Chapter Two
After a brisk shower, mixed with me looking over a few of the documents that I had been sent in advance for this mission. I felt a lot calmer, returning to a baseline of normalcy. Yet, I could still feel a pleasant buzz that would radiate in my head at the thought of Era'Volrea.
Looking down at the watch on my wrist that had swapped over to the planetary time of this planet. I clicked my tongue, it was later into the morning that I would have expected, breathing out through my nose. Quickly, I collected my stylo and the case that I had brought with me.
Heading towards the front of the room, the door opened without any touch. I stepped out into the hallway to find it was empty. Blinking, I wondered why I thought that someone would be waiting. Shaking my head, I padded forward the tour from yesterday was helpful. A small map of the area was already formed in my brain.
Without much effort, I found myself at the mess hall. There was clear glass around the room, I saw Era'Volrea sitting at a table. She had a stylo of her own that was resting in her hands. Her fingers tapped across the stylo with an effortless grace. She was dressed differently from yesterday, the researcher tunic that she had on was nowhere to be seen today.
Era'Volrea was sitting in a halter top that curled around her neck, it was a light white, a tight fitting pair of black pants finished out the ensemble. Around her neck was a long necklace that was some sort of crest. Her hair was braided, again, but there was something looser about the braids today.
A silver bands sectioned the braid into eight sections, while some strands of it were left out. Her ears were covered in a different set of silver ornaments, but still I didn't spy any translation buds. I reached a hand up and brushed my own, they were a comfortable friend.
Sighing, I banished the dream from my mind and told myself that it was a lapse in control. Even if the subconscious thought that I desired this alien female, it was sorely mistaken. It was repulsive to think that I would stoop low enough to allow such feeble desire to consume me.
Raising my eyes, I found her silver eyes looking right back at me. My heart pounded in my chest, there was a smile on her face, almost a knowing smile. Her lips pulled back and displayed the pearly teeth, but instead of fear, I felt a pleasant pressure in my lower stomach.
Placing the stylo down, Era'Volrea stood and took no more than three easy strides towards me. The glass pane that was separating the corridor from the mess hall opened. Once again the scent of spiced liquor wafted off her, however, it was sweeter today.
I nearly found myself sniffing the air to get a better sense of it. 'Calm yourself, Yule!' I snapped internally.
"Good Morning," she said. Her English is even better than before.
"Morning," I replied shortly. Mentally kicking myself at being curt...
The same rising feeling of terror reared its head, I was not one to exchange such greetings with anyone. I had always been a lone researcher, more absorbed with my work than with interactions with my fellows. However, I felt a rising feeling of unrest, yet, it never came to fruition.
"Did you sleep pleasantly?" She asked, stepping backwards from the door to let me pass through the opening. I cleared my throat, looking around the mess hall. She had been sitting at a table that was close to the door, but there were plenty more seats in the room.
It looked as if it was designed to accommodate more than thirty members, it felt odd for it to be just the two of us in this base.
'Yule?' Her voice sounded like it was whispering inside my skull. I jumped a bit, turning my head to look at her. Those inhuman silver eyes were wrinkled in concern as they looked at me. Her mouth was closed and she appeared as if she was waiting for me to say something.
But I had heard her voice...had I heard her voice? My stomach knotted as I felt like I was losing it.
"I'm sorry, I was lost in thought," I managed after wrestling my mind into submission.
She flashed a small smile, this time without teeth as she raised her hand and gently patted my back. Her hand was lingering a little and rubbing a small circle, but then she abruptly removed it. "It seems that you might not have had a pleasant rest. It's always hard the first night on a new planet. Not to mention the day and night here on Planet 7S-9NR. The cycles of nighttime will start to lengthen tomorrow and daylight will become sparse," she hummed in her soft voice.
"Ah, they didn't disclose any information about the specifics of the planet other than its deposit of material that I'll be testing," I said.
"That's the company for you, always on the secretive side of the coin. Well you wouldn't be able to work on an empty stomach, follow me," she said. As she walked forward heading towards the back of the mess hall, where a few BOT's were working behind the counter. They were preparing a wide variety of food.
A small part of my brain was unwilling to get closer towards her, already the pleasant buzzing feeling felt like it was intensifying. It felt like the more that I was around her, the stronger it got. I touched the translation buds, again, but they were still firmly in place. I shoved the hesitation to the side and walked towards her, it was ridiculously to be worried about this!
Looking at her from behind, I could help but note that she was truly a tall woman. I found my eyes following her tail more closely as I walked behind her, it was on the long side easily able to wrap itself around me. It was just above the base of her butt, it was exactly the same place where humans, if we had developed tails, would have one. The tail flicked slightly back and forth as she stood, it appeared that it was possibly a prehensile tail.
That made the dream from last night slam into my brain, along with the rushing feeling of pleasure associated with it. Biting my lip, I felt my cock stir in my pants. Her tail flicked again, before it curled around her thigh.
'Oh, it really was a prehensile limb...'
