Aurora felt free. She has mapped out the location of the small town on her phone. She did not care that it was pack lands. She would run in her wolf form for as long as she could before she began to near the border. She hadn’t realized how much she truly missed her love until she saw her face through her phone screen. She loved her. Since the moment she saw her on the streets of london her heart ached to be near her.
Aurora knew that Jasmine loved her but she would never understand the full force pull of mating bond as long as she was human. Jasmine hadn’t wanted to be turned. Aurora didn’t push her too. She wasn’t sure if Jasmine could even handle being a wolf. All the wild aggressiveness constantly being pushed to surface. Jasmine was a gentle soul but she still had that lingering wildness that only sparked during their training sessions.
Aurora had equipped Jasmine with everything she needed to defend herself but Jasmine would never be as strong as Aurora. She had Alpha blood. She was meant to be the alpha. Aurora was ten times stronger than her brother, who had been given the position. There was an air of innocence and naivety that surrounded Jasmine. Aurora was afraid it would attract the most debase of predators.
The dangers of being a human mate to a lone Alpha. How Jasmine could be used against her, Aurora shuddered at the thought. It was probably her only regret in leaving her pack, that Jasmine didn’t have the protection a pack could give but abandoning the prejudice; the gossiping; the dissent; and the constant disrespect made being a lone wolf worth it.
Aurora had experienced criticism growing up. She was stronger than even her father, the current Alpha, and everybody knew it but she was a female. When she was aggressive it was because she was “An emotional woman” but any male with the same behaviour was “A dominant male”. She had to fight against those ideas her whole life. Had to feign to be the caring women she was supposed to be while still asserting her dominance. It was grueling. That same treatment probably being the reason why she never bothered to associate herself with any man. She had been attracted to both men and women for as long as she could remember but, even before Jasmine, she shacked up with only women. Men were too domineering for her taste.
Aurora sniffed the pine scented air. Close. She was getting so close to a reunion three weeks in the making. She imagined Jasmine’s ample bosom and the curve of her hips. She imagined her long brown her and her deep chocolate eyes. The skin on her abdomen, which reminded her of creme. Jasmine’s creme. The thought of getting a taste of it once more spurred Aurora further
. I am going to see her mate. I am going to see her mate.
It was all she thought of for the rest of the way

Jasmine had finished her meal and called for the waitress so she could pay. Jasmine considered dining and dashing but, the women was a powerful wolf, she could catch her even in her human form.
The man next to her had been having small casual conversation with the waitress. No sign of his Alpha status. He just seemed like a normal man. He wasn’t aggressive. He was very respectful and kind. Something Jasmine didn’t expect from any wolf male. Jasmine did not speak to him. Only picked up on how he spoke to his beta and the cook, who jasmine assumed was also a wolf.
When the waitress approached Jasmine, she passed her credit card. The card had Jasmine’s real name. Jasmine Ellise. A part of her feared and regretted handing over her name. She knew it was on the directory all the wolf’s shared. That as a mate to a lone wolf she was trespassing onto her land. She had to remind herself that they had no reason to check. She was just a human. She wasn’t drawing attention. She repeated it to herself over and over.
Every moment the waitress took to process her card felt agonizingly slow. When she finally handed it back Jasmine fled the diner but unfortunately, the alpha followed. He swaggered behind in a swift speed. “We don’t see many new people around here.” His voice was deep and sultry. It sent a shiver down her spine and to her toes.
“I’m just passing through.” Jasmine replied bluntly. He stood still, taken aback by her tone for a moment. He shook off the feeling and sauntered toward an unwavering Jasmine.
“For how long?” He asked. He was beside her now. His presence loomed over her but she made an extra effort not to show it.
