The World
Five years ago, the world Changed. In one day, everyone connected to the unexplained power of the Status, able to see numerical summaries of what defined people and their abilities. Each individual received a Class and learned to level up that Class, gaining magical powers beyond the scope of human understanding. And in the case of a third of humanity, people were suddenly and randomly changed into thousands of different Races straight out of myth, legend and nightmares.
Five years ago, people thought the world was about to end. In a ten week period of Biblical proportions, three billion people died, many from accidental side effects of gaining a Class or Race without training or warning. Yet a surprising thing happened: life went on. In less than a year most of the wars ended, governments passed laws to account for this new way of life and in many ways, living was no different either before or after the Change.
Except now there were dragons.
Book 1: Growing Problems
When the Change happened, architectural student Honoka Jefferson found herself with a new appendage and a Class she had no idea how to level up. Shy to the point of catatonic, Honoka became frustrated and depressed her new Race and Class did nothing to changer her life. Five years passed: in a world with magic, elves, wizards, monsters and wonders beyond imagination, she worked for a soulless corporation in downtown Boston designing buildings for other soulless corporations.
Then she stepped onto a bus late one night and met a succubus calling herself Diane Long. One thing led to another and after losing her virginity to the succubus prostitute, Honoka discovered that sex was the key to unlocking secrets of her Race and Class.
Honoka quit her job, registered to become a dungeon delver and married Diane, along with two other monstrous women: goblin Eve Ibori and holstaur Banda Longhat. They moved into the local dungeon beneath what used to be Harvard and met two more women whom Honoka also married: otter beastkin Quinn Blevins and cobra naga Padmava Nair.
Quinn, specifically, had a problem she wanted the growing collection of wives to help with. Deep in the dungeon levels there was a castle of bones in the middle of a lake of lava guarded by powerful undead. Her best friend, Dolly Butler, was recently captured there and suddenly Honoka's ability to improve the people she has sex with made it vital the futanari coitus as much as possible if they were going to succeed in this rescue mission.
Other factors were at play, though, before they could initiate their plan. Solomon Church, Diane's former pimp, wanted the missing succubus back and his lackey managed to kidnap Honoka and Diane. Honoka freed them using her new powers but also ended the night killing their kidnapper. Wracked with guilt, when they got home Honoka attempted to commit suicide. Only the love of her wives got her through this trial.
As Honoka slowly unlocked the mysteries of her Race and Class, she found other powerful entities tracking her down. These events coincided with the original kidnapping of Dolly, the death of Padmava's husband and the kidnapping of Padmava's son, Aruna. Feeling overwhelmed, the wives hired the services of kikiyaon Miaka Watase and trained heavily for the assault on Bone Castle.
Before they could complete their training, Honoka and Diane were attacked and Diane almost died from her wounds. This prompted the newly christened guild
Becoming Monsters
to leave immediately for the lower levels. Diane stayed behind to recover from her injuries while Eve stood guard over Diane and Padmava's young daughter, Jaya.
The assault begins successfully, over a hundred murderers and rapists killed, Aruna freed and Dolly would soon follow. But when a powerful Guild leader shot a devastating attack at Honoka, Miaka jumped in front of the attack and was mortally wounded. Desperate, Honoka adds Miaka and Dolly to her harem to save their lives and then enacts a plan to save everyone's life, kill the man behind Bone Castle, free hundreds being held prisoner and then destroy the cycle of grief once and for all.
On returning from the castle Honoka and the wives discover a separate assault from Solomon Church took place and the pimp succeeded in kidnapping Diane. With the help of a grateful collection of delvers Honoka and Eve attacked Solomon's brothel, killed Solomon and recovered Diane. The wives then took some time off before Honoka fulfilled a promise to Diane and conceived a child.
Afterward, the Lich in charge of the undead of Bone Castle arrived at their home and begged for a place to live and hide. That night, while Honoka dreamed of Wonderland, a little girl walked into Boston and made her way to the dungeon.
...oh yeah, and there was a LOT of sex here and there.
