A Wolf's honor
Scott's point of view:
Meetings were truly the bane of my existence, I am forced to sit through yet another painfully boring session with my council of advisors.
They were not discussing anything I had not heard before at some point in time. They had after all been going through the same motions for the last 20 years.
Being an Alpha isn't all it's set out to be, I mentally scoffed allowing my mind to wander.
Your highness, it is high time you found a partner. And produce another heir, it has been years since the death of the queen ( your wife) and it is no secret that the prince ( your son) is sick.
We have known for the longest time, the constant visits to the moon temple has done nothing to improve his condition. He is growing weaker and weaker by the day and still have no cure for his illness maybe it's Luna's will that he joins the pack of dires awaiting him.
we the council think it is high time you stop his countless visits to the moon temple and look for a mate.
Council's chairman, Cyrus intoned as the council agreed.
Scott's point of view:
I have ruled this pack for centuries, followed the old rules hell I even married the late queen for the pack, So don't sit there and tell me about the law of succession, I know too well how it works.
Luna's moon approaches I will give in to your request on finding a partner and bring forth another heir, but make no mistake Liam's visits to the moon temple for a cure will not discontinue.
Luna forbid that I would my cut short the life of my son for the sake of the pack.
(Our conversation was interrupted by voices along the hallway).
Amid the meeting I could hear Jakes voice from the hallway, I had every intentions of ignoring their conversation and continuing the meeting with the council but then I heard Jake say Liam was injured by a witch he had captured.
My heart skipped a bit on hearing that.
I cut short the meeting and headed out to see my son.
Jake I began, my voice low and quiet, my eyes scanning the face of my beta, Would you like to explain the reason for this disruption?
We found this human witch trespassing our territory. She killed Lee and nearly killed Liam.
Where is Liam now? I asked trying to remain calm. He is with the healer now, jake replied I gave him some medicine on the way.
He is healing, But still he was badly injured.
And Lee? I asked.
At the morgue Jake replied.
In my visual assessment of my alpha team, and in my my worry to seek the status of my son I had neglected the witch who had dared to harm my boy.
Thinking about her kind alone brought a raging spirit to my blood. I turned glancing her way to pronounce torture and death upon her only for my sentence to be cut short. Before me stood a petite short woman, maybe 5'5ft with wide hips and small breasts. Her thick afro hair looked wild, she had deep brown eyes and creamy dark skin.
My eyes traveled up her body and met her eyes.
When my eyes found hers, for a moment I felt fear, I hadn't had that emotion for centuries.
And then I felt anger how could Luna do this to me, of all the eligible she wolves out there, Luna ( the moon goddess) had to mate me with a witch.
I felt enraged but then the moment I look into her eyes my anger melted it felt like ice was being poured on me, I felt at peace. It was like she was calling to my wolf.
I had heard myths of the mating call but never had i seen it up until now, For centuries and more now my kind ( were wolves) have not been able to find their one true mate, thus we resulted to finding partners.
it is written in Luna's Chronicles that there will come a mate who who will put an end to partners and begin the era of the mating call. it had not occurred over 1 millennium or so the legend says. As I stare at her I start to wonder how can one simple look melt all the hatred I have for witches. This witch who almost killed my son, how can one look at her make me want to forgive her, how can one simple look have me panting like a dog in heat.
Just one look, and the next thing I know I lost control. I took in a deep breath, taking in her intoxicating scent as it clouded my head with heat, which made my skin tingle and my hands itch to touch. Lost in her beauty I failed to notice she was trying to get away.
Don't you dare.
