"Oh come on, are you scared?"
"No I just don't see the point."
"Dude even Julia is brave enough to do it, besides maybe you'll get a chance with her, dark rooms and all."
"That's not even funny, I would never..."
"I'm not saying rape her, I'm just saying there are a bunch of empty bedrooms up there."
"Yeah that nobody has used in years, and besides we're just friends."
"Brad you have had the hots for her since freshman year, and in September we're all going off to college and she'll meet some hot guy and you will totally blow any chance you have with her."
"So you want to break in to the Coleman estate and spend the night? Why?"
"Because we just graduated and aren't gonna be able to do all the stupid stuff we used to do, so just one last fun night."
"And Julia agreed to do this?"
"Are you kidding? She was super excited. Stacy is coming up with us too so it will just be the 4 of us."
"Really? Stacy was ok spending the night in an old abandoned mansion? Isn't the place haunted anyway, and didn't it used to be a Brothel?"
"Hey wouldn't you want to bang a girl in a mansion?"
"Maybe one that hasn't been abandoned for decades."
"Either way, are you in or out?"
"Fine Rob I'm in, I'll meet you guys up there around 7:00."
"Great! Should I tell Julia to wear something nice?"
"Dude seriously stop it, she's just a friend."
"Yeah we'll see." Rob said giving him a big smile which only annoyed Brad as he got up and left the booth.
Brad and Rob had just graduated High school and were going to college in a few months. Brad and Julia had been really close friends for years but he actually really liked her but never wanted to push the issue believing he may already be trapped in the friend zone.
Brad had been friends with Rob since they were children and would always try crazy things growing up. There was an old abandoned mansion in town that had been gated off for years and there were many stories surrounding the place. They had talked years ago about breaking in there and spending the night but they never had a chance when they were younger. Now that it was time to grow up it was their last chance to do it.
The next Brad drove up to the estate which was the classic creepy mansion in the middle of nowhere which is what he thought a he drove up the dirt road towards it. When he arrived at the gate he saw Robs car parked outside along with Julias. He parked next to them and headed towards the gate which had had its lock cut with bolt cutters. He looked up the hill and saw his friends standing by the front door.
As Brad walked up towards the house he stared at it looking at the broken shutters and the dark look of the structure. For a second a thought he saw someone watching him from one of the windows on the second floor. He stopped to look not seeing it anymore when he heard Rob.
"Something wrong there Buddy?"
"Nah, just thought I saw something."
"Well come on, we going to do this or not?" Rob said heading in to the house with Stacy following.
Stacy was a petite blonde who Rob had been dating all senior year. He wasn't sure how serious their relationship was as it mostly seemed to be about sex but they seemed happy and Brad liked Stacy so he never got involved.
He looked over at Julia who was happy he was there. Who couldn't help buy notice how good she looked that evening. He brunette hair blowing in the wind as she stood there in her jean jacket. He thought about what Rob had said earlier about her meeting someone at college and him possibly missing his chance.
"Brad you ok?" She asked as he seemed to be in deep thought.
"Huh? Oh yeah sorry just a lot on my mind."
"Well don't get too distracted we have to survive this creepy ass place tonight."
"It is a bit dark and run down isn't it."
"Yeah, probably gonna need a tetanus shot whem we're done."
"Sounds like a tomorrow problem, let's do this." He said smiling at her and heading towards the door.
As they walked in the front door the entered a very large open area with a large staircase in front of them. There was a large chandelier hanging above them covered in cob webs and an archway on both sides of them leading elsewhere. They couldn't see where Rob and Stacy went but they were still in awe of what they saw.
"Welcome to the Addams Family house." Brad said to which Julia laughed.
"I don't see Lurch anywhere to greet us."
"HELLO!" Brad called out trying to find their friends but heard no answer.
"Come on guys don't be dicks." She said still looking around.
They headed into what looked like a living room off to the left as Brad turned on his flashlight as it was dark in there. They looked around at all the furniture which was mostly covered with dust after years of neglect. There was a fireplace and a large piano in the corner.
"BOO!" Rob and Stacy yelled out as they jumped up from behind the couch.
Brad and Julia both jumped out of fear. She even grabbed Brads hand tightly as her heart raced a little.
"You asshole!" Brad said before he realized Julia's hand was in his.
He couldn't help but smile a little but he still had a desire to punch his buddy in the head as they both stood there laughing at them. After a while they all got comfortable in the room. The fireplace was still in working order so they got a fire going and sat by the light.
"So Mr Coleman, what do you know about him?" Stacy asked curiously.
"I did some reading up on this place years back, if I remember correctly Mr Coleman had this place built for his wife before they married but he became ill right before their wedding and died soon after. The stories claim that they never consummated their marriage and his wife went crazy and turned this place into a Brothel as she tried to get sexual satisfaction but no matter how many men she laid with she could not.
