As always, all characters, places, etc are imagined and no characters are minors. Any resemblance to any real person is purely coincidental.
It has been almost 2 years since I started this novel, and I stopped because I ran out of ideas and did not want to just rehash what I had already written. Hopefully these new chapters will take you further down the line into their lives.
Please feel free to score and comment (at the end of the story); constructive criticism is always appreciated.
Thank You.
Wardenville. Chapter 21 -
A big surprise, then an even bigger one. Jason is embarrassed.
The sun was starting to set earlier in the evening now that the calender had turned over and it was November already. Jason was driving Tonya home as usual. She remarked that it would soon be Christmas and asked if the family normally went away, knowing that WPLC closed down for normal workers around the 19th December and was closed right through until the start of the New Year. Her Mom, Lucia, had mentioned to her that there would be a couple of weeks when she would not be working, and they matched closely with the time Tonya would be off college with the holiday break. "Normally, we visit New York to see relatives" he replied, "and stay with Dads family until Christmas and then go to Mom's parents until New Year. With Dad's Mom having been so unwell, they might change it this year. What were you thinking?"
"Oh, nothing much, just trying to work out where everyone will be when college is closed, and what time we will have together. It is awkward at the moment with you having to be at home each weeknight, and I miss having you at our house looking after mine, and Mom's, needs. We will get to spend time together I hope. It will be a long, lonely, Christmas - without You." Tonya mis-quoted the lyrics to an old song she remembered her Mom liking.
"We get the weekends together," he replied, "and get most things done, but I know what you mean. It is busy doing all the laundry for the week, shopping for food and spending time tending to You. But absolutely no complaints from me."
Tonya looked over at him, knowing what he meant, but not sure if he was being totally straight with her. Did he really enjoy the laundry that he did - usually by himself now - and was he happy doing it for both her, and her Mom? His erection whenever she saw him holding the soft lacy garments was of his own doing, she had not said or done anything to cause it, well, except for being herself. He had just taken to doing the task and it seemed that he made the most of it. He even got the garments to the right person and she was going to have to ask him how he remembered which belonged to who. A lot of her lingerie and her Mom's lingerie were very similar, and where he could read the size on the bras making that easier, he seemed to get all the panties to the right person too.
"Would you prefer it you only had to wash my underwear?" she questioned, fairly sure she knew the answer. "No," he replied, rather too sharply. 'It is really in his head to do it', she thought and smiled to herself. "BUT, anyway, it's Friday again, so time for some fun too. I think I know something you will enjoy doing tonight...." leaving the end of the sentence unspoken and raising her eyebrows causing him to smile broadly.
Jason was never happier than when he was with Tonya; well, that was not strictly true. Time spent with Tonya AND Merry was always his favourite, but he was still questioning how Merry could confuse and confound him with almost everything she did. He missed her now that he saw only Tonya each day to go to and from college and at the weekends, which left little time to see other friends - and he did count Merry as a friend, no matter what! He had barely seen his sister what with her college workload and the time she could grab to spend with Jed. He was sure he could sometimes hear her when she went to bed. He knew the noise, but also knew Tonya would be mad if he masturbated without her permission.
Arriving at Tonya's house, they were both surprised to see a construction crew in the front. "Hi, can I help you. I live here." she called out of the car window as they drew to a halt. "Oh, right, Are You Mrs Wilson? the man who seemed to be in charge asked. "No, her daughter," she replied "but what is happening?
"Did nobody say?" he asked, "the house is being reworked for the new owners. There was a lorry here from a removal company here a while ago, but he left when there was nobody in."
Tonya called her Mom and asked if she knew about the removals and construction crew. "OH NO, is that today? I heard from Josh that they were coming over, but I am not sure he ever gave me a date. I will not be finished work for an hour at least, can you deal with them please? I will find out who the removers are, and contact them."
Tonya explained to the crew leader that the messages had got mixed up, and she would have to wait for her Mom to get the removals people back. I doubt we can do any moving today, even though most of our stuff is still in boxes from the last move."
The crew leader contacted his boss who just told him to do what he could without going in to the house. There was a lot of measuring and marking out to be done and the marking out pegs could at least be sited today. They would not be back until Monday anyway to do more.
