The wedding preparations had begun, and the week of the Blood Moon had one more day. I stared at the ceiling in the dark and pondered.
I felt so torn between the pleasures I had felt with the Brotherhood, and the world outside that I knew I needed to return to. The drugs from my day with the Elder had worn off, and with it some logic had returned. But for some strange reason, the logic didn't reach down to my pussy, and it gushed and clenched every time I heard the Elder speak.
What the fuck is wrong with me, I need to leave this house of horrors shit, I thought, admonishing myself for not being strong enough to resist him and his damn cock. This Daddy/pet shit was fucked up and I was clearly not of sound mind.
I was just about to begin mentally kicking myself again when I heard a small creak of the door opening. My head snapped to the door, watching while I held my breath.
In the darkness, I saw Adrian quietly inch his way inside and close the door behind him.
That fucking traitor, I thought, rage welling up inside of me when I remembered how I got into this mess in the first place.
I sat up on my elbows and watched him warily.
"Vanessa," he whispered.
I gasped. It was the first time he had used my name while I was here, rather than 'Prophesied Maiden'. What was going on?
He quietly made his way to the bed and grabbed my hands to bring me to a seated position. "Vanessa, we have to go. We've only got 10 minutes before the Brotherhood find out you're gone." His voice had a touch of frantic energy about it, and it set adrenaline coursing through my veins.
"What?" I choked out. My head spun. Why was he helping me?
He kept his eyes on my hands and whispered earnestly, "Please, Ness, I need you to come with me. We have no time to lose."
It didn't explain why he had a sudden change of heart about the Brotherhood, but I sure as hell wanted to get out of there. I pulled myself from the bed while something twinged oddly in my gut. I quickly threw on my sneakers and a zippered jacket and threw my hair into a ponytail. My bed shorts and cami were not the best attire for an escape, but desperate times and all that.
"Hurry," he whispered breathlessly. His nervous energy had my hands shaking. I grabbed his outstretched hand and we quietly exited the room.
The dark corridors were completely empty. I desperately wanted to ask Adrian how he had managed to convince the Brotherhood to abandon their nightly post, but I knew any sound might alert somebody of our movements. My blood pounded in my ears as I strained to hear any noise. I shuffled behind Adrian, gripping his bicep as my head swung back and forward. We snuck down two corridors before finally coming to a back door. He opened it carefully before we moved out.
He walked confidently outside onto the grass. My head whipped back and forth, trying to see if there were any guards. Something twinged in my gut again. How is he so confident there's no one here?
I shook my head at my suspicious mind and we began a light jog across the property, leading to a wooded area. My heart was in my throat but I felt almost giddy with relief. This nightmare will soon be behind me!
Adrian stopped suddenly just before we made it to the wooded area. He gripped my hand hard to slow me.
"Adrian? We have to go..." I stuttered in confusion as I looked up at his handsome face lit by the moonlight. He stared up at the moon, never releasing his grip on my hand.
"Did you know that tonight is the last night of the Blood Moon's eclipse?" he said in a faraway voice.
Fear started leaking through my veins, cold and sharp. I thought he had changed...
I gulped. "Adrian please, we need to go," I pleaded, my hope slowly fading.
He turned his face to me, his eyes dark and glittering with lust. He chuckled softly, the sound turning my veins to ice. "God Ness, I love it when you beg."
I let go of his hand as if he had burnt me.
Suddenly a floodlight lit up the yard. I gasped in horror.
"It's time to go, NOW," I said, my voice wavering.
Adrian merely turned to the floodlight, and lifted up a single thumb.
What?
He turned back to me, a huge grin on his face, and his eyes darker than I'd ever seen them. He radiated excitement.
