Ayla stood cautiously outside the Sigma Lamda Tau sorority house. Was she really going to do it? This was the night new pledges went through the final process of being accepted into the sorority. Ayla hadn't made it that far. She was denied in the first round of recruitment. Just like she had been last year. She was a sophomore now. 20 years old. She was NOT a child anymore.
Ayla gulped deeply as she slowly started walking up the path to the sorority porch. Sigma Lamda Tau was THE place to be as a girl on campus. The sorority had a ton of influence on campus and held over half of the student body government positions. Stupid elections. Ayla was on debate team in high school, she was an international studies major, and she had traveled to the UN with her mock UN group. Twice. But of course, she couldn't get elected. She'd spent so much time focusing on her studies and qualifications that she ignored her public image. As much as she hated it, that was an important part as well. A part she had thus far ignored.
She was a bland girl. Not ugly, but certainly not what men would call attractive. She was short and thin and flat. And she was getting sick of people in her classes asking her if she was a high school student. It's not her fault she didn't have huge breasts and an hourglass figure. It's genetics. Her mom was tiny too. She remembered when she was young people would think her mom was her older sister. Stupid genetics.
She needed an image makeover. And joining Sigma Lamda Tau was the only way to do that. If she wanted a position on the student body government, this was the only way to do it. She gulped as she stepped up onto the porch.
A frat boy on the porch lifted an eyebrow as she stepped up. "Get lost kid," he said in a dismissive tone. The guy was huge. One of those dudes who spends far too much time in the gym. His white tank top had Delta Iota Kappa in blue letters across the middle of it. The brother fraternity to Sigma Lamda Tau.
Putting on her sternest voice, Ayla turned her nose up at the frat bro "I'm here for recruitment."
Ayla could not stop herself from blushing as the dude laughed out loud. He poked his head through the door and called out "Hey Ashley! There's some girl scout out here who says she's a recruit!" he turned back to Ayla and looked her up and down. She could feel his gaze examining and discarding her body. He shook his head slightly, an amused look on his face.
The door opened all the way and a tall large breasted woman with a pony tail and an hourglass figure stepped out onto the porch. She scowled when she saw Ayla. "You again? I told you already you were rejected, get the fuck out of here." The woman gestured dismissively then placed her hand on her hip.
"I know you rejected me... but I heard that... there was another way to join. The... Gilded Pledge." Ayla shifted uncomfortably as she waited for Ashley to respond.
Ashley scoffed, "You can't be serious. Do you know what that is?"
Ayla took a deep breath, and when she was sure she could keep her voice steady said "I get gangbanged by every guy in Delta Iota Kappa, letting them do whatever they want to me, and as long as I don't stop them before they're done, I'm accepted." Ayla was proud of how steady her voice was, and she managed to look Ashley in the eye the whole time.
The surprise on Ashley's face was clear as day. "You're joking, right?" Ashley said in a flat tone.
"I'm going to join Sigma Lamda Tau, and if this is the only way, so be it." Ayla held her ground under Ashley's gaze.
The frat boy spoke up "Who is this chick Ashley? Is she even 18?"
Ashley finally broke Ayla's gaze, turning to the dude "She's 20, idiot." Ashley's gaze then returned to Ayla. She had an odd look in her eye. Not quite respect; Ayla couldn't believe that. But a sort of... examining gaze. Like she was trying to size Ayla up. After a moment that felt like an eternity, Ashley spoke again. "Fine. But we have some guests here the next few days as well. You'll have to take all of them as well. Ok?"
Ayla nodded "Yeah, whatever, let's do it."
Ashley had an almost concerned look in her eyes "You realize that's like 50 guys right? Maybe 60?"
"You're the ones who made the rule..." Ayla responded. She couldn't believe how calm her voice was. She had been so nervous before, but now that she was here actually doing it she was strangely at peace.
Ashley shrugged. "Alright. Fine. Come back tomorrow."
"W-what? Tomorrow?" Ayla said, surprise and concern making their way into her voice for the first time.
"Yeah, tomorrow. Delta Iota Kappa is doing their own pledging tonight. They won't be available until then. Besides, we have to do our regular pledges. The Gilded Pledge is its own thing. We'll have to prepare. Be back here this time tomorrow." Ashley waved her away with a dismissive hand, then stepped back inside.
"Can I get a sneak peek?" the frat boy said with a smile.
Ayla turned around and walked away without responding. She was starting to feel dizzy. Tomorrow? She had psyched herself up so much for it to be tonight. She almost hadn't come. Now she had to wait until tomorrow...
