A hasty submission. Had the idea and rushed to get the main part down.
There is no bestiality involved. He's a shapeshifter of sorts and can switch between his dog and human form.
Noncon oneshot for now, but may return to edit and develop into a romance/smut series. Enjoy!
*************
I ran to my doorstep and fumbled with the keys in my hands, cold and wet from the rain. As soon as I succeeded in unlocking the door, I stepped into my house, and cranked up the heater. I swept into the bathroom and turned the hot water on high and plugged the bathtub. In my bedroom, I turned up the electric heating pad of my bed to the highest setting, grabbed a couple towels from the dresser, and headed back into the bathroom.
I adjusted the temperature of the water, making sure that it was warm and not scalding. I removed all the bottom half of my clothes.
Only after I finished these preparations did I finally allow myself to open up my jacket. I wanted to retain heat and expose it as little as possible. Even with my efforts, it hadn't stopped shivering. Carefully, doing my best not to rock it too much, I removed the rest of my clothing.
I finally stood there naked, with what looked like a large, trembling mass of soot pressed gently against my chest for warmth.
"Ah, you poor thing," I crooned softly as I stepped into the bathtub. "First things first, let's get you warm."
I lowered myself into the bath. Instead of submerging it right away, I tilted the warm water from my hands into its fur. It continued to shake itself to bits.
"I know, I know," I murmured, even though it hadn't once made a sound. Even a whine would have made me feel better. Was it too weak even for that?
I patiently kept tipping water over it until it was sufficiently drenched. When I felt it might have acclimated to the temperature, I slowly lowered it into the water. It stirred a little at the stimulus, but didn't fight.
"Good baby, you're doing so good," I praised it in as pleasant as voice as possible, and stroked its head.
I didn't have the proper equipment for my new guest, so my own things would have to do for now.
"We'll have to do some shopping for you tomorrow, little one," I told it as I reached for my own shampoo.
I wanted to clean it as thoroughly as possible to properly examine it and prevent any diseases, but I also didn't want to take too long. The poor thing was probably thirsty and starving.
I worked quickly but gently, lathering and rinsing it once before repeating the process once more. As I washed it, I checked for any signs of injury.
I found one scar that started by the right side of its face, under his ear, all the way across diagonally and down towards the left side of his chest, but by the looks of it, quite some time had already passed, and it was fully healed. It was scrawny and bony, but luckily seemed not to have retained any other major injuries. I now stood in the water because it was starting to become grey, but my work was paying off.
"You're... white! And... looks like you are a strapping young boy! How about I call you Alabaster? My strong, handsome pup, Alabaster."
I finished his last rinse and unplugged the bath. I grimaced as the polluted water swirled slowly down the drain.
"My bath can wait. Remember, you owe me one!" I joked as I turned on the shower head. I cradled him in one arm and washed my body quickly as best as I can.
When I finished, I stepped out of the shower and wrapped him in a fluffy towel. I used another towel to briskly dab most of the water off my body and wrap my hair up.
I placed the doggy towel burrito on my sink and massaged gently to wick away as much of the water as I could.
"I know you won't like this," I admitted to him apologetically as I reached for my hair dryer, "but I hope you'll know I'm really doing this for your own good. You'll be cold again if I leave you wet."
I dried him as thoroughly as I could, and when I finished, I couldn't help but giggle.
"Look at you, you look so poufy right now!! Sorry, you're just so cute. Let's get you some food and water right away."
I wrapped him into another dry towel burrito and hurried into the kitchen. I filled a small bowl with filtered water and set it onto the kitchen table. I sat on the chair and nestled Alabaster into my lap. When he was settled, I took the bowl and raised it to his snout.
"Here you go, boy. It's water, Alabaster. Water. Drink this."
He seemed to have more energy now that he wasn't shivering it all away. I helped him raise his head to the bowl and was delighted to see the pink sliver of his tongue lap at the liquid.
"Whoa, boy, slow down. I don't want your tummy to hurt." I had to periodically pull the bowl away to portion his intake. I wasn't sure when he had last put anything into his stomach, and gobbling water on empty was a surefire way to throw up.
"How about something solid, hmm, Alabaster?"
