Todd walked across the courthouse basement, pausing as he was about to ring the bell for the public defenders' office, surprised to find the outer door ajar. He entered and turned the corner, startled to see the county judge pass him, a nervous look on his face. "Good afternoon, Your Honor," Todd said as the judge hurried silently away.
Todd continued forward, stopping at the open doorway to his right, and saw Madeline, at 27 the new public defender in their small town, seated behind her desk. Tall and blonde, with a cute face and incredible body, she was wearing a black suit. "Working late?" she asked, clearly annoyed. "You can't just walk in."
"The door was open," Todd said, glancing to his left to see her white top and bra on the floor near her desk. "Now I see why you beat me in all nine of our jury trials. I'm reporting you to the bar association."
Madeline stood up, wearing nothing below her waist, and said, "I didn't have time to put my panties back on since you just walked in."
"I have a great trial record," he said. "I'm not going to let you make a mockery of the legal profession."
"Is that so?" Madeline asked as she walked around her desk.
