Winter in Northern California is not real winter. Sure it can get cold. Lows can dip into the high 20's to low 30's. But it's nothing like what people in the Midwest and North East experience. There isn't the lasting freeze. It doesn't snow except in the Sierra Nevadas. There are no blizzards or freezing rain for most of California. Winter in Northern California can be rather pleasant at times. That's one of the reasons people come from all over the country to live there. It's damn hard to beat the weather. It was true for Sara Jones and her husband Dan. They moved from Lansing Michigan to a small suburb outside of Sacramento when Dan had been headhunted for a job with Intel. They were both so happy to be leaving the long cold Michigan winters.
Sara worked as a lobbyist in Lansing, the Capital of Michigan. Luckily for her, Sacramento is the Capital of California and she was able to use her experience and find a job as a lobbyist quickly.
At 33, Sara was in the prime of her life. She had graduated from Columbia law school and had always wanted to work in politics. She had zero desire to be in a court room or to read contracts. She had a passion for politics and lobbying was a good fit for her. She was good at it.
Dan was a tech genius. He met Sara through a mutual friend at a Super Bowl party in 2020. They both were rooting for the Chiefs to win and had hit it off instantly. She was a petite brunette with dark eyes and long hair and a tight sweater showing off her perky 32B breasts. Standing at 5"2' and weighing 110 pounds, she was fit with nice curves. Dan was a tall lanky nerdy guy with a deep voice and a sarcastic wit. Not really the type Sara usually liked but there was something about Dan she found attractive. They hung out the entire party and when the Chiefs won their first Championship, they kissed in celebration. The rest was history. They married in less than a year in a very small ceremony during the height of Covid.
Married now 3 years things were finally being sorted out for them to start a family. Sara wanted kids. She came from a big family and wanted to have a big family with Dan. Dan was an only child but didn't object to having kids. He just wanted him and Sara to be in careers that would financially support raising kids. With this move to Northern California and both starting new jobs, that reality was quickly being realized.
Their sex life was good. They made love often, but to be fair Sara, was somewhat disappointed with Dan's penis when they had first had sex. He was over 6 feet tall and she had expected him to be somewhat more endowed that the 5" he was. And to top it off he was uncircumcised. It wasn't a big deal but she had never been with anyone who was uncircumcised before. It was a little off putting initially and it had taken some time to get used to it.
One other thing also surprised and disappointed Sara was that Dan was a very gentle lover. Sex with him was always making love. He was also fairly inexperienced and timid. He was very predictable in bed. A bit of foreplay, then some good old missionary, maybe some of her on top then back to missionary. He'd thrust away until she came. Which she did most of the times. But not always. After she had cum he would continue for a few more thrusts then finish himself.
She appreciated that he always put her needs and pleasure first. But sometimes she just wanted to fuck. And that didn't mean gentle or soft. Sometimes she wanted to get laid. To be taken. More often than not she was the dominant person in the bedroom. She had talked to Dan about it. Talked about him being more aggressive and not caring about her feelings. Tell her what he wanted. And he would try for a while but his nature was so gentle and timid that he would revert back to being his old self quickly. Sara promised that she would continue to work on her husband. They had a long life to live together and she needed better sex than what she was getting! Communication was the key.
Sara woke up early and got dressed for work. It was her first day at her new job at JG Public Affairs. The new lobbyist group she was hired by and she wanted to have plenty of time to get to downtown Sacramento and find parking. She absolutely did not want to be late on her first day. Dan was lucky his job was only a short drive. Hers was a half hour.
She went downstairs from her bedroom to the kitchen and saw her husband making a bowl of cereal for breakfast.
"Hey babe, wow you look amazing." He said with a smile.
"Aw thanks hon, it's not too much is it?" She asked. She was dressed in a snug fitting black skirt, a matching tailored jacket with a white shirt under. She also had on 3" black heels.
"No you look very professional. Want some cereal?" He asked holding up the box of Great Grains.
"No thanks, I'll just have some toast and head out. I have no idea what the commute is going to be like." She said as she grabbed the bread and put two slices into the toaster. She checked Google maps as her bread was toasting.
"My phone is saying it's 32 minutes to my office. So if I leave now that gives me
an hour to get there and park and get to the office. That should be ok right?" She asked as the toast popped up.
"Um yeah, should be plenty of time." Dan replied in between bites of cereal.
Sara finished spreading butter on her toast. She grabbed her toast and a napkin and gave Dan a kiss. "I'll see you tonight. Wish me luck!"
"You don't need luck. You'll be fine. Drive safe!" He told her as she headed out to the garage. She got into her car, a Honda Pilot pulled out of the garage and headed to work.
The commute into Sacramento wasn't bad at all. For a metropolitan area the traffic flowed well. There were some slow downs but it wasn't like some of the cities Sara has driven in. She exited the freeway and made her way to her office building. Her office was located in a high rise building not far from the Capitol building.
Unfortunately her building was older and did not have parking on site. However, her new employer had provided her with a paid parking space in a parking garage not far from her office. She found the garage, a 6 story building and pulled in. She waved the parking attendant over and explained that she was starting a new job at JG Public Affairs. And that she was supposed to have a parking pass.
The attendant, a short pimple faced man looked at her for a moment, checked out her legs then her chest and then smiled.
