No Longer Distant
Disclaimer: Not real people and everyone is 18/18+
Authors note:TW this may be a little darker. The concept of forced proximity and a manipulative/bad guy protagonist is a concept I'm playing with. The NONCON in this is lighter but still there. Please don't read if it's not your thing.
SANDY
My hands shook as I stood by the pick up area at the airport. My cousin Shawn was picking me up, we were going to be roommates while I went to the same college he was at. My mom had assured me it would be okay and that he was family, but I hadn't seen him in over ten years and even then he was six years older than me so we didn't really connect.
"Hey Sandy!" Called a deep smooth voice and I turned to find a tall handsome man waving to me. His muscular build and dark blond hair were unfamiliar to me, but he shared the same green eyes that my whole family had.
"Shawn?" I asked, suddenly self-conscious of my red hair pulled back in a braid and my clinging t-shirt dress. He grinned at me and walked over a swagger in his step. He grabbed me and pulled me into a big hug lifting me off the ground.
"Wow! Look how you've grown!" He exclaimed as he set me down, I blushed and looked up at him. He had grown too, he towered over me and was built like he did crossfit. He took my suitcase like it weighed nothing and tilted his head in the direction he'd come from.
"I'm parked over here. Hope you don't mind going fast." He said and led me to a bright yellow mustang. I marveled at the car, it was pristine and it was clear Shawn babied it. He smirked over at me as I ogle the car and slid my suitcase into his trunk.
"Glad you approve, wait till you see what it can do on the highway." He said and I shivered at the promised danger in his voice. He was definitely still the daredevil that crashed his dirt bike a million times when we were kids. I hopped in as he held the door for me and buckled up. He got in and buckled then gave me a knowing smile before he started the engine. The car roared to life and he shot off, making me squeal in surprise.
"Still easy to get as ever!" He teased me as he sped down the streets and onto the highway. My heart raced as he weaved between cars and through traffic as though it were nothing. Part of me was excited as he dodged cars, the other part was terrified.
"Shawn, can you slow down!" I yelped as he cut close to another car. He laughed as he exited the highway and cut into a neighborhood. He pulled into the driveway of a little house and threw the car in park.
"Why? We're here." he said with a cocky smile and I hit him in the shoulder.
"Asshole." I said with a little smile. He grinned at me and hopped out before going around to the back and getting my stuff. I got out and followed him to the front door. He unlocked it and greeted the fluffy orange cat that mewed at him as he entered.
"Hey Tobias, catch anything today freeloader?" he asked the cat and got a purring meow in response as he bent to pet the cat.
"You have a cat?" I said in surprise and he laughed as he pushed past the little creature and brought my things inside, placing them by the couch in the living room.
"Well kind of. He came with the house when I bought it. I don't mind his company so I feed him." Shawn said and I smiled as I closed the door and bent to pet Tobias. The little orange cat purred up a storm as he rammed his head into my hand. I giggled at the little antics of the cat.
"Come on, your room is this way." he said and rolled my case down the hallway. He brought me to three sets of doors. "The far door is my room, this is the bathroom and that is your room." he said first pointing to the rooms on the right hand wall then to the single door on the left. I pushed into the room and found he had painted it a pleasant cream color and even replaced the carpet with something lush and thick.
"Wow, you did this for me?" I asked and he grinned.
"I figured it would make the transition easier if you had something fresh to move into." He said and I clapped happily before I turned and hugged him.
"Thank you so much Shawn! I was so nervous about the move and this makes it so much better!" I said as I hugged him tight around the neck. His arms wrapped around my waist and he pulled me close, hugging me against him for a moment. Our bodies molded together and for a brief second and I felt his hard cock press into my sex. I stepped back out of his grasp and looked up at him in shock. He simply smiled down at me with a raised eyebrow before he smirked.
"I'll leave you to unpack. Welcome home Sandy." Shawn said before he walked out of the room and went into his own. I stood in stunned silence at the pass my cousin just made at me. I couldn't believe he would do that, we were related. I closed the door to my room and started to unpack my thoughts swirling at the implications of being here with Shawn.
SHAWN
With our conflicting schedules Sandy managed to avoid me for a few days. Until the university went on lockdown because of a Covid outbreak. It was the first day of the lockdown and I was in the kitchen making breakfast for us when she finally emerged from her room. Tobias ran to her mewing happily. She was wearing her pajamas, a silk nightie and some boxer style shorts.
"She lives, haven't seen your pretty face in a hot minute." I said and she blushed, her long red hair was down and brushed to a silky shine. My fingers itched to run through it. She sat at the kitchen island and blushed.
"Listen, I'm sorry Shawn. I think I got a little wrapped up in orientation and all the other stuff, then this whole lockdown thing. I didn't mean to avoid you." She said and I smiled, so it hadn't been intentional, that was good. I sat a plate of French toast in front of her.
"Don't worry too much about it. We'll be seeing a lot of each other now that we're stuck here till gods know when." I said and she nodded as I handed her a fork. Our hands brushed and she blushed. I could feel the cocky grin trying to take over my face as I struggled to remain neutral.
