Lozza's POV
I woke up the next morning not really feeling any sign of a hangover, but I was certainly not feeling relaxed, the first thought of the morning for me was, "if you lie with dogs, you get fleas," the reason for this thought was last night's sexting with Harry, I would never have done this if I weren't influenced by the low grade people I was suddenly surrounded by.
I had a look at my phone, and saw Harry was surprised at my sudden departure from our texting last night, but he was actually nice about it, wishing me a goodnight and he even sent me a good morning message, no further pictures, I sent him a message wishing him a good morning.
As I started getting my college uniform ready Harry replied, telling me he was looking forward to seeing me at work later, I wanted to send back a text asking him to delete the two pictures from last night but I resisted, instead I just wrote I was looking forward to seeing him as well, I told myself he's already saw the pictures and he wouldn't exactly share them with anyone, I brought my uniform into the bathroom and started the shower, after my shower, I started to get ready.
Becky wrote in the group chat inviting me to breakfast, I was going to decline but when I was ready I went downstairs and saw my mum, Mum was sitting at the kitchen table, nursing a cup of coffee. She looked very rough, her hair a mess, her tired eyes looking up at me, very unlike mum but she looked so unkempt, the hangover had really done a number on her.
"Morning sweetheart," she croaked, taking a sip of her coffee. "How was your first day at work?"
I hesitated for a moment, weighing whether or not to tell her about the incident with Tony. The pro argument was she would not be very keen on Becky and her mum if she knew Becky could get drug dealers to back down but In the end, I decided to leave it out, not wanting to worry her.
"It was fine," I said, I then added, "I'll find something better soon though."
Mum nodded, she let out a long yawn before asking, "how are your workmates?"
I responded, "everyone was welcoming."
Mum smiled back at me, "that's good darling. Work can be so much easier when you have friends there, don't worry about looking for something much better, it's only your first job and you have college remember."
As I was about to ask mum about last night, she covered her mouth, and looked like she almost threw up, she apologised and then said she can't stomach any breakfast and may go back to bed.
I could just have something on my own or with Ben, but he wasn't down yet and dad was still in bed because of his now nightshifts, I would be spending the day with Becky anyway, so I decided I'd accept going to hers.
My mum headed to bed, with a glass of water, I wished her well before heading to Becky's, I hadn't replied on text and just knocked, Becky's mum answered, (Julie is her name btw, I don't think I mentioned that before).
"Hey, Lauren, Becky is upstairs just go up," I went upstairs, and knocked on her bedroom door and she shouted come in, I walked in to be greeted by Becky unashamedly stark naked.
Becky smiles at me and says, "hey, Lozza, joining for brekky then, I'm just getting dressed, sit ya arse down."
I nodded awkwardly, and sat on the bed, which was cluttered with clothes, I was not sure where to look. As Becky sorts out getting some clothes, I try my best to act natural and glance around the room, I still can't believe how trashy Becky is by flaunting her naked body without a care in the world. Becky excuses the clothes on the bed, saying she is seeing what clothes to sell as she wants to buy some new things later and needs more space.
Becky quickly changes topic, turning to show me her naked backside. "Hey, Lozza," pointing to her right cheek. "I'm thinking of getting a tattoo here, something funny, what do you think?"
I swallow hard, "Uh, whatever you want to do, I guess," I reply, trying to sound casual, I did not like tattoos.
Becky turns to face me, smiling. "Come on, Lozza, help me out here," she says, cupping her breasts and pouting her lips playfully. "What would you think if I got 'Bite Me' with a cute little cherry just here?" She points to the spot just above her right breast.
I force a smile, trying not to betray my discomfort. "It's your body, Becky," I say, shrugging. "But maybe something more... meaningful?"
Becky slipped on some knickers finally, and asked, "meaningful like what?"
I tried to think of suggestions at the top of my head, "some kind of quote that means something to you, or a symbol of something important in your life or that matters to you."
Becky paused for a moment like she was taking my thoughts in, "so like something relevant to me, like goals, life or a future career."
"Exactly, a first tattoo is a big decision, you are less likely to have regrets if it's something relevant to you," I responded, I was happy I was passing my wisdom on to Becky, maybe she's learning from her betters now.
Becky's eyes light up. "You know what, Lozza, you should get one too!"
"What?" I squeak, absolutely stunned at the suggestion. "No way."
"Come on," she says, her voice excited. "It'll be a laugh! Plus, it'll be like a bonding thing for us."
I shift uncomfortably on the bed, looking anywhere but at Becky.
Becky continued on, "we could choose each others, I pick your tat and you pick mine."
Becky put on her bra, she looked like she was having a serious think as she did this, then as if she got a lightbulb moment she said, "how about the McDonald's logo."
Her suggestion catches me off guard, I spit out, "what? On me? Why would I do that?"
Becky smiles, "Because it's your first job, babe. It's personal you know, where it all began. You'll look back on it and remember your first steps into the working world and it's cute, a little golden arch."
The idea of having the McDonald's logo permanently inked on my body made my stomach churn. "I think I'll pass on that one," I said, shaking my head.
Becky rolled her eyes, but smiled. "Alright, no worries. But just think about it--maybe someday you won't be chicken and agree, also think of one for me ok?"
I wanted to move on, I quickly changed the subject. "So, what's for breakfast?"
Becky grinned, she was finally putting on her college uniform. "Mum makes a mega breakfast, especially after a night out, you'll fucking love it, oh here is a milkshake, any hangover?"
Becky picked up a bottle from a pile of mess nearby, tossing it at me, I caught it, I told her I had no hangover but still took the milkshake, they was so nice, I took a big swig, we then made our way downstairs.
Unlike at mine we didn't sit at the table, instead I was on a couch next to Becky, waiting for Becky's mum to bring out the plates, I had planned to only have a very small portion, I did not like the thought of a load more greasy food after the last few days, Becky's mum insisted she was bringing us both the works, "I went a bit crazy and maybe overdone it on the food, but seeing as we have a guest I pushed the boat out."
Now my plate on my lap was literally full, two bacon, two sausages, beans, scrambled eggs, two toast, black pudding and mushrooms.
Was Julie insane, no wonder she has a fat daughter, surprised she's not the same, mum would serve a variety of options at times, Ben would certainly indulge, while I always had just the right amount for a small treat and maybe go a little overboard at times, whereas this plate was a joke.
Becky had the same amount as me, hers covered in brown sauce though. It was certainly too late to reject the food now, I'll just leave most of it, and say maybe I have an hangover afterall.
"So, good night last night, mum?" Becky asked, her mouth full of eggs.
"You wouldn't believe it, we came second," she said proudly. "We were someway off those smug twats in first place though, you know the ones."
Becky nodded. "Maybe if you didn't spend so much time flirting with the quiz master, you'd actually win." With a wink she added, "or maybe if you did more than just flirt."
Julie laughed it off. "Well I wouldn't kick him out of bed is all I say."
Their relationship to chat in such a way should have been a shock, but I was not actually surprised at Becky.
Julie then turned to me, "Vic was great, Lauren, we will be great friends I can tell, you're mum was so pissed by the end of the night I had to put her to bed, hope I didn't wake you."
I blushed at the mention of last night, while I was sending pictures to Harry, "no I didn't hear, that's unlike mum, thanks for helping her."
Julie just waved my thanks off, "no problem, gal, what are friends for, oh I forgot to make the brews, did you want a cup of tea, Lauren, or you ok with that drink you got?"
I passed on the tea, picking up the milkshake I had some more, the refreshing taste soaking down some of the breakfast.
I'm guessing Julie might have also had Becky's hangover cures earlier or even if she was the original maker because she had zero signs of a hangover.
As Becky's mum headed to the kitchen, Becky gave me a nudge. "You gotta eat up, Lozza," she said, gesturing to my plate. "Mum went to a lot of effort, and she hates wasted food."
"Ok, I will," I reluctantly said, the food was actually very good, despite the mountain on my plate. I'm fit and healthy so indulging a little won't hurt, Becky on the other hand could do with slowing down on her mum's cooking. Speaking of which Becky had practically scoffed hers down like a pig, she was almost finished.
