MacGyver University was a small prestigious institution in the hills of rural New England. It was known for its avant-garde programs, and parapsychology department. The spring semester was drawing to a close and soon the announcements for summer programs would be appearing. Unlike many Universities MacGyver did not limit participation to graduate students but they were open to under graduate students as well.
Professor Carl Kolkac had just posted the parapsychology department's trip "In search of werewolves' fact or fiction?" The stated goal was to go to Romania and the Transylvanian Mountains in search of werewolves, to conduct a scientific study to determine if they have some base in fact or are the sole result of folk lore. Interested student should apply to Dr. Carl Kolkac of the parapsychology department
There was snickering as the students read the posting, for Dr. Carl Kolkac was known as a bit of an odd duck and a relic from a bygone era. He could be seen on campus in his Oxford gown and mortars board his wispy gray hair in disarray. He was a tall gangly man in his fifties and the picture of the absent minded professor. He could be seen fencing in the gym, there was a small scar on his right cheek below his eyes and the rumor had it that it was a dueling scare from his days as a student in Vienna.
Morrigan Smythson smiled as she read the post with all the other summer programs. Like many of those snickering out loud she did find the idea of going to hunt for werewolves a bit ludicrous but a summer trip through the Romanian and the Transylvanian mountains paid for by the school that was something to smile about. She could already tell that most of her fellow students were going to blow off the posting so the competition wouldn't be too fierce which she thought was both a bit sad even while it was good for her.
Making her way back to her dorm she tossed her school bag into a corner and sat down at her computer to type up an application letter. After an hour of trying to figure out how to word it properly she growled softly in the back of her throat. It just wasn't coming to her! Drawing a deep breath she thought for a moment before a slow smile curved her lips. Grabbing her purse she ran out the door. It was a beautiful spring day and her step was brisk. She didn't miss the gazes that turned toward her as she passed but waved to those she knew and kept walking. At 19 Morrigan was a beautiful young woman. At 5'6 she was only of average height but that didn't stop people from noticing her. Her dark chocolate brown hair was thick and lustrous and usually drawn back into a ponytail while flashing green eyes were almost always sparkling with mirth and her firm full lips ready to curve into a smile. Soft creamy skin practically beckoned to be caressed and though she was fit and well toned she still had firm high breasts, a narrow waist and the curve of her ass filled the jeans she always wore perfectly.
Morrigan was well aware of her looks and how people, men mostly but some women too, would turn to stare at her but she'd never let it go to her head. She detested people that used good looks to get ahead in life. Her parents had raised her with a strong work ethic and while they'd both made it well known that they thought their only daughter was the most beautiful child in the world they also taught her that beauty faded in time. Lost in her thoughts she walked right past the building she wanted and ended up laughing at herself and backtracking. Finding Dr. Kolkac's office knocked gently.
Dr. Kolkac was busily grading the last of the final exams for his course in parapsychology when he heard the knock at his door. Drawn from his work he gave a disgruntled huff, and straightened just a bit in his chair. The rumpled tweed jacket he wore had leather patches at the elbows, as always he wore his school tie from King's College at Oxford. His wisp gray hair little more that a fringe that circled his head, hardly the picture of a modern professor but more a caricature of a bygone day.
"Enter!" His voice was formal as always and tinged with an Eastern European accent, one could not quite place. His hazel eyes looked over the rim of his glasses to behold an attractive young lady."Good afternoon Doctor, I just saw the posting you put up for your summer internship and wanted to come apply in person." The girl was rather beautiful and quite young; she could be no older than a sophomore but most probably a freshman. Carl Kolkac noticed the way her jeans hugged her body, her chocolate brown hair was thick and lustrous drawn back into a ponytail while flashing green eyes sparkled with an impish twinkle. He did not approve of young ladies dressing in pants never mind jeans and the scowl on his face made that quite clear.
"Have a seat my dear. So you are interested in summer internship? You do realize that it will entail spending time in a country until very recently was known for its strict control and that it will entail a fair amount of hiking through the mountains of Transylvanian. Miss?" His voice trailed off even as his eyes wandered to the young woman's high firm breasts. She defiantly was a ravishing young beauty and the idea of spending the summer in her company was quite enticing. A slight blush kissed Kolkac's cheeks as he realized that he was staring at the girl's breasts and the way they strained against her t-shirt. Pulling himself back to the present and the business at hand. "And your name is Miss?
"Morrigan, Morrigan Smythson. Please forgive my rudeness in not introducing myself when I came in. I understand about the hiking and what the country used to be known for but it's an area I've always longed to visit," Dr. Kolkac bushy grey eyebrows lifted when Morrigan mentioned her grandmother as having emigrated from Romania, the subconscious act giving him almost the appearance of a shaggy old gray wolf. He was only half listening to the attractive young coed, a young woman that carried the blood of Transylvania and the Carpathian Mountains would certainly be beneficial to his research. Morrigan gay laughter brought him back to the present.
"So other than hiking and being curious what sort of work would the internship entail?" Her sparkling green eyes shown with her laughter and Dr. Carl Kolkac couldn't help but notice what a charming young creature she was. When he snapped out of his daze his voice was a bit shaky and his cheeks tinged in crimson as her realized the young woman must have noticed how his eyes where roaming over her supple young body.
