She was walking down the street when a group of Alphas surrounded her. They were all tall, strong, with perfect features, just like all men of their rank, and she felt terrified at the sight of them. She cast her eyes down, but one of them, the leader, pulled her face up. Her eyes met his. "Hello there, fresh meat," he purred. His voice was as dark and smooth as his skin, and was full of dangerous intentions. "We've been watching you for a while, and now we're going to have you. You know what that means, right?"
She did know.
Ever since the Evolutionary Act of 2020 had been enacted, every person would be sorted at the age of 18 based on their health, attractiveness, and fertility. Alphas were the best of the best; Alpha women could only breed with Alpha men, and Alpha men could breed anyone they wanted. On the other side, Omegas were not allowed to breed with anybody.
It had been her 18th birthday the day before. The newly-tattooed Gamma symbol on her cheek was still bloody.
As he stared at it, she blushed, hoping she wasn't too low-ranked for him to be interested in. It would be such an honour to be taken by an Alpha.
She needn't have worried. His grip on her face tightened as his smile widened. "So, you're a little Gamma, huh? Not bad. Most of us were betting you'd be an Epsilon at most. What makes you such a hot piece of tail, then?"
