It was a party at a large house. We were all invited for the week. A week of fun, sun and water. All expenses paid and we made most of this break from life. Though none of us really knew each other we all got along. Some of us had brought our families along. I was one of them. My husband and my two little girls came along. We were in this large room that also accommodated my little ones to stay with us yet gave my husband and I enough privacy for ...well you know.
This house was really like a one story mansion. Many spacious rooms spread out and towards the side there was even an indoor water area. It had slides and the water wasn't more then like 2 feet. The skylight overhead brightened the room. This was where the children could play day or night in the water. The tubes of the slides were clear and twisting for the children's pleasure. The run off of this water filter into a channel that went through this portion of the house and connected to the outside pool, a constant circulation and a cruising path where all I had to do was sit in a tube and let the flow take me around.
As the week was winding down, I started to gather and collect our clothes and some of the kids' toys. Getting each item together and packing what isn't needed. A little sad that this was ending, then something didn't feel right. Things were too quiet. I quietly put the stuff in my hands on the bed. Standing there in my shorts, baggy t-shirt with my black bra underneath, I turn lightly, my bare feet not making a sound as I go to my door listening to the hallway. Hearing nothing I tiptoe out and begin searching the house.
Seeing uncommon activity outside I duck below each window, crawling around. This relaxing week is now turning into an adventure in itself. Quickly gathering everyone together including my family, I hide them all in one room. Telling them to keep low and take all the kids out first. Everyone was scared and nervous not knowing how to go about escaping. Whispering for them to take the channel out and keep low in the water and remember this is only a game so the kids don't become frightened and give away our escape.
I send my hubby out with our kids kissing them each before they go, then as soon as they are gone I begin to prepare the house for this seemingly attack. Not sure who or what I am up against I plant traps here and there throughout the house, making sure to get every window and door. This was nothing that killed, just slowed them down and told us where they were.
Then it happened... all hell broke loose. People were screaming and things went crashing. I wasn't sure exactly what set things into motion but it wasn't stopping. I found an out of the way place and listen and observed. Trying to figure out how many I was going to be up against. From the sounds of things I was the only unaccounted person and they were looking for me. Obviously they have my family and now I am pissed.
"I can't find her... she's the only one left."
"Quickly we must find her before He finds out."
