"For the last time, I am telling you it is MY room and I am not moving my shit!"
This was ridiculous! At first I thought it was cute arguing with this girl about the bedroom at the Airbnb, but now it had just become a battle of wills. The rest of the wedding party seemed pretty amused at the tableau playing out in front of them.
Let me give a little background information before I explain any further: my name is Sam and I'm twenty five and single. I've been out of college for a few years now and although I know I'm considered reasonably attractive, I didn't really settle down in school and since then have been more concentrated on my career than romance.
So it may come as no surprise I was pretty excited to be asked to be in my friend JD's wedding party. I know how girls get at weddings and considering my recent lackluster social experiences, I was looking forward to cutting loose and hitting on bridesmaids, potentially getting some action.
I was even more excited when JD told me about the bridesmaid I'd be partnered up with: His wife's sister, Kaycee, is a cute blonde coed in her junior year of college. I stalked her a little on social media and was instantly attracted. We're talking long blonde hair, beautiful smile, a beautiful suntanned body, and a pair of tits and a ass that looked nice full and firm. She had multiple pictures of herself out at tailgates showing of her tight young body in cowboy boots and sundresses. She looked a fun loving young South Georgia college girl who would be down for a good time.
When I shared my excitement with JD though, he laughed, "yeah good luck there dude. Kaycee is a church girl, saving herself for marriage. Besides, she's been dating the same dude since high school and I don't think that little nerd has even gotten to second base!"
So, with my hopes a little dashed as far as Kaycee went, I showed up that Friday to the Airbnb with the attitude to just take it easy and have a good time, there would be other girls to party with at the wedding. There were four groomsmen and four bridesmaids in total. We were sharing a super nice house in Orlando with the bride and groom and the place had every amenity you could think of. Well, everything you could think of besides an extra bedroom. Somewhere along the way the bed count didn't take into account that everyone else was a couple and would be sharing a bed, while Kaycee and I were strangers, literally meeting for the first time at the house. The place had 5 bedrooms and that included the den one of the couples had set up in with a big air mattress.
To be completely honest, when I heard about the situation, I was totally prepared to do the chivalrous thing and just let Kaycee have the room while I found a couch or something for the weekend. However, from the moment she arrived, she had acted like a completely spoiled bitch and things had gotten contentious.
I can't deny I'm a pretty direct and competitive person, so when Kaycee started off the conversation with "Who the fuck are you and why the fuck is your shit in MY room." (I guess church girls swear when they want to) I shifted gears.
From there the discussion spiraled, neither of us wanting to back down. She and I went back and forth arguing while everyone else laughed. This was typical Kaycee, and even though they had figured this would be a problem, they thought it was funnier for me to deal with it. Before long though, we were all told we needed to get in cars and head to the rehearsal, so nothing was decided.
On the way to the church, JD broke something down for me: Kaycee and her boyfriend had been fighting about this wedding and had broken up right before she came here. It seemed like the boyfriend was actually a little jealous of me and had forbidden her to be partners with me. Kaycee being Kaycee, she wasn't going to stand for that and it culminated in a relationship ending blowout that probably was a long time coming.
Even though I was still pretty pissed, once I heard that I calmed down and decided to be an adult.
Later, after a pretty awkward rehearsal, I pulled Kaycee aside and started apologizing in an effort to just give up the fight and let her have the room. Somehow though, that turned into an argument. By the time the group went back to the house for drinks we were still arguing. Later, when people were getting ready for bed we were still arguing. And this wasn't like, cute rom-com fighting where everything is playful and you know the two leads are going to end up together. There were some pretty significant jabs thrown in there on both sides. For some reason she kept referring to me as a 'monkey' which was hilarious to me.
