Lily POV
It has been a whole week since I last saw my best friend, they are both a few years older than me. They told me I could come over today since they don't have any plans.
Elijah is really nice, and I used to like him but then he and Hazel got married. So I lost interest in him and started painting. I'm not that good. I think I need a new hobby, maybe I should take up boxing. If any guy went into my no-no square I could fight him.
They said they wanted to watch 50 shades of gray. I wonder what it's about, hopefully, it's not about painting houses. Seriously I need a new hobby, painting doesn't bring me joy as it used to. Every time I hold a paintbrush it brings up the fact that there are so many people better than me at art.
Looks like my cab is getting closer to their house, I better send them a text on the group chat.
"I'm close to ur house."
"K, just let yourself into the house."
"OK, I brought some snacks."
"You're the best, what u get."
"I got..., I'll tell u when I get there, the cab just arrived."
"K."
I got out of the cab and paid the driver, the sidewalk led me to the stairs. Their house is huge, I can't believe they could afford a house like this.
I went to the blue door and let myself in, as soon as I walked in I saw both of them. They were staring at me weirdly, I don't know and don't care because they are my friends. They can't do anything bad to me, we knew each other for 10 years.
"I'll grab the drinks, why don't you start heading for the living room," Elijah said while heading in the direction of the kitchen.
Before I could get a word out, Hazel grabbed my hand and dragged me to a room. I plop down on the couch. It was so comfortable, I could start my career of being a couch potato.
Elijah came in with my favorite drink, they both didn't sit beside each other. Instead, one sat on each of my sides, Hazel on my right while on my other side was Elijah.
