Tom had a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. He'd been driving down the highway for an hour, the two narrow lanes getting harder to see as he went along, when he finally realized he was in trouble. No matter how hard he cranked the windshield wipers, or blasted the defroster he couldn't see more than fifty feet ahead of him. The wind kept blowing his car so hard, he had to almost turn into it. He turned down the radio and focused on the road, just as the car rounded a tight corner and he was forced to slow down the car even more...
Suddenly the car was sliding to the right. Panic rose up before he even knew what was happening and his car slid slowly but inevitably into the ditch along the side of the road. His first thought on the immediate stop was that he should be hurt, but he realized that he had been only going about twenty-five, and the immediate relief rose up into almost manic giddiness as he realized he was fine.
Not quite fine, the wind outside was blowing steadily, and he was far from his hotel. The site he'd been inspecting was about fifty miles from the freeway, and he'd stayed longer than he'd meant to in an area he didn't really now. He cursed himself as his car sat trapped in the snowbank at the edge of the road. He pulled out his phone, but he had no signal. He ruefully eyed the icy wetness falling all around his vehicle, kicking himself for not listening for a weather report on the radio all day. At least his wife had cautioned him about traveling in the mountains of Virginia in the coldest months of winter. She had convinced him to prepare, to bring a warm jacket, hat and gloves. He had been amused by her motherly concern, but now he realized he had just been foolish.
He remembered passing a driveway at most a mile back on the road, and blessed his wife for her foresight in buying him an arctic temperature jacket. The biting wind that hit him upon opening the drivers-side door made him scramble to the outerwear stowed in his trunk. Once he was bundled up, he wasted no time in climbing the subtle slope back the way he had come, hoping to find a home, or at least a hunting shack, he could huddle in until the roads were passable and someone came along who could take him back to civilization.
The one mile trip he had imagined, had turned closer to three or four by the time he reached the driveway he remembered. Though the jacket kept his upper body warm, the cold was biting into his legs, feet, and face. By the time he reached it his legs felt painfully cold, and he couldn't feel his feet at all. He croaked out a laugh once he finally turned at the mailbox, and headed down the driveway. He saw the first lights as he rounded a bend in the driveway, and a small cry escaped his lips. He only then realized that a part of him thought he would die that night, and would never see his wife again.
His eyes welling with tears he stumbled up to the large house before him. Crawling up the steps to a small porch that rested between two stone columns he banged on the front door. After what seemed an eternity, his fist marking forever like a mad metronome, the doors opened and bright light flooded over him. A woman dressed in a robe stood in the doorway. He pushed his way into the bright warm interior and his shaking legs collapsed as his slick boots made him lose his balance.
It took several moments before his mind returned to his situation and he looked around to see where he was. The house entryway was at the foot of large stair case leading up into darkness. He turned to see the woman who had opened the door to him. He began to crawl towards her. She was staring at him with her arms raised up, mouth slightly opened and eyes narrowed. It took him a few moments to realized that she was looking on him with fear.
"No," he spluttered. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean... scare you... I lost my car in the cold... I'm lost..." He looked at her desperately through dimmed eyes, and she seemed to relax, her fear being replaced by pity. He smiled at her, and suddenly everything dimmed to black...

The next thing he knew he was laying in a warm bed. At first he thought he was at home, only when he realized the sunlight was on his left instead of his right did his mind begin to wake up. He opened his eyes and then realized he wasn't in his hotel room. The large room around him wasn't one he knew. He sleepily looked around at the wood floors, crown molding, and heavy curtains framing a large bay window. Outside the window the world was a white, swirling whirlwind. The snowstorm was stilling blowing like it had last night.
The storm! The terrible weather, his car, the body numbing chill he'd felt all came back to him in a flood. This must be the home he'd been headed towards. He couldn't even remember getting into the house, much less into bed and undressed... He realized he was stark naked, lying on silky sheets. This certainly beats the Comfort Inn he thought and smiled. Despite the previous night he felt well rested, he wondered what time it was, his watch was gone, and he didn't see his clothes lying around anywhere. He rose out of bed and went to the large oak dresser, the only furniture in the room besides the bed and a set of night stands. He opened the drawers, but they were all empty. As he turned back to the bed the door opened, and a woman stepped into the room. Suddenly more memories flashed back, she had been there when he got to the house.
"Hi" he croaked out, still feeling half asleep. He looked at her trying to remember more of last night. She was a very beautiful woman, she had shoulder length red curls that framed the sides of her high cheekbones. Her eyes were wide and evaluating, and she smiled broadly at him where he stood. He looked down to her curvy form, the thin material of her robe wrapped tightly around her large breasts, the low cut providing a breathtaking view of her cleavage. His eyes drifted down of their own will , the thin fabric not providing an inch of slack as it hugged the curves of her hips, the material clinging tightly to her upper thigh where it gave way to a creamy expanse of perfectly smooth skin... Suddenly he looked down and realized his nakedness, he lunged for the bed and pulled the duvet up, holding in front of his body to block her view.
She let out a delighted laugh at his desperate lunge. "Hi, and good morning. Are you feeling well?"
He felt his cheeks and ears burning. "Err yes, sorry I couldn't find my clothes, and I didn't realize..." He finished lamely with smile. She came closer to him and her smile grew even bigger. "Really its alright, besides who do you think got you out of your soaking wet clothes last night?" She smiled impishly and lifted her eyebrows as he realized what that meant.
"I'm glad you're well, I think you almost died last night out in the cold. I checked everywhere for signs of frostbite, but it looks like you managed to avoid that. If you had been out much longer in that storm who knows what would have happened."
The implications of what "everywhere" meant crossed his mind briefly, but he quickly responded. "Yea, I hit some ice and my car went into a snowbank a few miles down the road, I remembered seeing your driveway and walked. I thought I might not make it, the wind was blowing so hard."
"You were lucky it happened where it did, there aren't any other houses around here for twenty or so miles."
"Thanks a lot for taking me in, and for getting me..." he gestured at the bed and blushed. "...safe."
"Of course," she smiled and her eyes tinkled with amusement. "You scared me a bit at first barging in, but I realized you must have been stranded. I'll go get your clothes, they're washed. The door there," she indicated to the side of the room, "leads to the en suite bathroom. Take a shower and get yourself refreshed, everything you need is in there."
As she went to leave he couldn't help but notice the way the silky fabric of her robe perfectly displayed the perfect shape of her round ass. He guiltily reminded himself he was married... his wife!. "Wait, do you have a phone? I need to call my wife she must be going crazy with worry!" She turned back in the door way. "No, I'm sorry the storm knocked out the phone, internet, power, everything. We're running on generator power now."
"She must think I'm dead, I nearly was!". He slumped down to sit on the bed.
She came and sat next to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. "It'll be fine, when the storm clears we'll be able to get you down to town, or get a tow truck to come get your vehicle."
He looked up into her brown eyes, feeling gratitude wash over him. "Thanks so much, I really appreciate everything, you saved my life". She smiled and rubbed his bare shoulder. "It's nothing, it's what anyone would do."
He couldn't help himself, his eyes drifted down again to her cleavage, now with her sitting next to him he could see even farther down into the dark space between her breasts and robe. His eyes flashed back to her face, and her smirk told him she had noticed his attention. He again realized his nakedness, and how close she was to him, her thigh touching his. He rose and stepped backwards towards the bathroom, still holding the blanket over himself. "Well thanks, I'm gonna take a shower now." Her glittering eyes never left his face as he awkwardly backed into the bathroom and shut the door.

After his shower he found his clothes lying on the bathroom counter. She must have sneaked in while he was enjoying the hot water. He looked over at the glass door of the shower, realizing what kind of view she must have had when she came in. He felt angry, she should've knocked or just left the clothes in the bedroom. You're being foolish, he thought, this is her home and she is being more than generous to me. In addition to his clothes he found a razor, shaving cream, and deodorant.
After cleaning up and dressing he left the room and went downstairs to the entry way he had collapsed in last night. Peaking out the window he saw that the storm was still blowing, the snowbanks around the house had risen to waist height.
"How do you feel?" The voice of his host came from behind him, he turned to find her standing behind him next to the stairs. She was dressed now, he noticed, but the outfit didn't provide much more cover than her robe. On top she wore a tank top, which seemed to be struggling to contain her large breasts, and pair of shorts that covered even less of her thick white thighs than the robe she had been wearing before.
Smiling dumbly despite himself he responded, "Much better, I feel half human. What time is it?"
"It's two in the afternoon, you slept almost fourteen hours."
"Wow, no wonder I feel rested. What is your name? I can't believe I don't know it yet."
"I'm Katherine, but call me Kate. I confess I looked at your wallet last night Tom, wanted to find out who I had in my house."
"Of course, it's only fair to want to know who barged in."
