Another Reality
The exhibition is an absolute success of visitors, the press has been talking about it for months at all hours without stopping interviewing the artist. All my friends have visited it several times, and they all keep telling me how wonderful it is.
Although I have not visited it as an audience, I was there on the opening day as one of the gallery employees serving drinks, and I did not find it that interesting, I did not see it very different from any other bondage and slavery themed exhibition that is so fashionable these days.
The exhibition seems very simple, a hundred photos and 3D illustrations in which young girls appear half naked or in extremely sexy clothes in different forms of slavery and bondage, most of the photos are of slave girls in harems, or slave girl auctions, but there were a few of slave girls being whipped and raped, and several others of slave girls being fucked by their owners showing the sexual act in full detail.
The feature that makes this exhibition so different is that while all the male models have the author's face, none of the young women in the photos has a face, just a blur, which according to the artist allows the viewer to imagine who the protagonist of the work is, perhaps his girlfriend, his wife, his lover, a friend or even a family member, and in the case that the observer is a woman, she can also imagine herself as the protagonist.
On the occasion of the last day of the exhibition, I have to work again in the art gallery as a waitress, and while I serve the guests I can not get out of my astonishment to see that all the photos now show a clear face in which you can perfectly appreciate the gestures of lust, pain or pleasure that the artist wants to convey.
Most of the faces in the photos are anonymous, although some of them are clearly recognizable, belonging to actresses, singers or models, there are even a couple of athletes and a journalist.
Only one photo still does not show any face, precisely the photo that caught my attention the most when I saw it, in that photo a blonde slave girl with generous curves with her body adorned with golden details and a gold necklace around her neck observes lying on some carpets between excited and frightened the arrival of someone.
"Soon the work will reveal the face of the protagonist;" I hear a voice behind me say.
Turning around I recognize the artist of the exhibition who does not stop watching me, although I have seen him from afar, I am surprised to see that he is really sexy and handsome. Embarrassed by the situation I quickly move away from him to continue working.
After the exhibit closes its doors, and as my colleagues begin to dismantle the exhibit and pick everything up, something urges me to see if the face in the photo has been developed.
I suffer a small disappointment when I stand in front of the picture and see that there is no face in it. I go to stop looking at the picture when it seems to start to change, as I step back to get a better look I collide with a strong muscular body.
