A year had passed since William and Alison's lives had taken a drastic turn after a honeymoon mishap had landed them in the clutches of El-Jefe. Alison had since then undergone a drastic transformation. She had been forced to take on a new persona as Lola Reyes and work for El Jefe in return for El Jefe keeping them both out of Mexican prison.
Lola had worked in El-Jefe's nightclubs and in his adult movies. She had in the last year become El-Jefe's top entertainer and pornstar. William had been allowed to visit her from time to time. But there was nothing he could do to get her out of El-Jefe's clutches. His last visit had left him a changed man. He was not happy with her transformation, but something about watching her with another man on El-Jefe's movie set had awoken something in him. He felt utterly humiliated watching another man fuck Lola, yet something about the experience felt really satisfying for him.
Finally, a year had passed and William arrived in Mexico to end the contract with El-Jefe and reclaim his wife. As usual, William was intercepted by one of El-Jefe's goons at the airport. William had learned not to bother asking the driver or the stooge where they were headed because he realized neither was going to divulge any such information.
The car sped through the city. The car ride would have been a pleasant one for the average tourist as there were lots of interesting and curious sights to see. William had his mind only on one thing, and that was getting his wife the hell out of what had quickly become a nightmarish city for him.
They arrived in front of a familiar gate. William recognized the gate of El-Jefe's villa. The same one he had brought him and Alison to a year ago. The car pulled up to the front door and he got out. He walked to the front door and before he could knock, the door swung open and the butler gave him a stiff bow. He walked in looking around. The interior of the big mansion looked different, somehow, more luxurious than it had been a year ago. The butler ushered him to El-Jefe's study where El-Jefe was waiting for him. A cigar in his hand, a glass of premium tequila on the table in front of him.
He gestured to William to sit. William promptly sat facing El-Jefe. The look on his face was that one a man eager to get this piece of business over with and return to his life.
"You're looking good, William. You'll join me for a quick drink and cigar before we get down to business."
William let out a long, shuddering breath. He knew it was futile refusing El-Jefe. El-Jefe purred him a generous glass of tequila. He handed him a fine-looking cigar. William took it and lit it. He took a puff of the cigar and nodded his approval.
"Tell me what you think about this tequila."
William took a sniff, then a sip. "This is really good stuff."
El-Jefe smiled. "I'm glad you think so too. I intend to start exporting this to America."
"I'm sure it will excite the Americans." William was trying his best to stay in the conversation.
"Lola would be joining us any moment now, and we can get to business." El-Jefe took a puff of his cigar and blew the smoke at the ceiling.
William took another sip of his tequila and a puff of his cigar. "so far so good." He thought to himself as he tried to assess the situation. He was glad El-Jefe was being so courteous, yet he was cautious because he knew that a pleasant El-Jefe was just as dangerous as an angry El-Jefe, perhaps even more dangerous. He continued to make small talk with El-Jefe, trying as much as possible not to mention Lola, lest he seemed desperate. He knew how much El-Jefe hated to be rushed, but his impatience and eagerness to see his wife and get her back home to England threatened to get the better of him. He took a long gulp of the tequila in an attempt to calm her nerves. El-Jefesmiled and poured him some more tequila.
There was a soft knock on the door and the door shortly swung open. Lola walked in accompanied by two men. Undoubtedly El-Jefe's goons. They bowed and left. El-Jefe waved Lola to the chair next to William. He looked from William to Lola and back at William.
"I'm afraid I have some bad news. Although there is a bit of good news as well." His eyes remained fixed on William's face as though his opinion on the matter was the only thing that interested El-Jefe.
William felt uncomfortable by the intense look, But he maintained his composure. He took a deep breath as El-Jefe sipped his tequila. The suspense was killing him, but he knew not to hurry El-Jefe.
"Well, I'll give you the bad news first. Lola will have to remain in my employ as my top entertainer."
William's heart sank as the words fell from El-Jefe's mouth. "She has shown so much promise this past year, and it would be foolish of me to let go of such a profitable asset."
He watched the obviously disappointed and angry expression on William's face. He knew William was powerless to stop him.
"The good news, William, is that I have decided to compensate you generously with half a million pounds for the year spent in my employ and another two hundred thousand every year spent in my employ until I decide that she is no longer a profitable asset. Lola would of course be compensated upon retirement as well. But for now, we get to remain one big, happy family. You are allowed to visit her as you have for the past year of course, but there shall be no intimacy between you two as I would require Lola to fully embrace her role now that it is a long-term commitment."
Lola squeezed William's hand as El-Jefe spoke. The words filled her with gloom. Wiliam just sat there, deflated. His heart raced in his chest as he contemplated his precarious situation. The ridiculousness of running out of the mansion with Lola did not stop the thought from crossing his mind, but he knew they would not make it very far. He finally found his voice.
"This is not fair." He protested. "The agreement was for Alison to work for you for a year in exchange for our freedom. She had fulfilled her side of the bargain."
"I decide if she fulfilled it or not, and I say the terms of the arrangement have changed. LOLA will remain in my employ while you will be compensated."
"And if I refuse?"
El-Jefe laughed with genuine amusement. "You still; think this is a negotiation. Allow me to clear up the misunderstanding. This is not a negotiation. This is me just informing you of the newest development. It is for your information only. You have no say in this decision. It is only through my generosity that I decided to compensate you. Do not for a moment delude yourself into thinking disposing of you permanently requires more than a wave of my hand."
William's voice broke as he spoke. "I cannot bear the thought of living without her, Not after the year we've both had." He said weakly.
El-Jefe thought for a moment. "I would be remiss to claim ignorance of your agony. However, I have money to make and very little time for sentiments. If indeed you do not wish to leave her side, I shall grant you one small concession: you may follow Lola wherever she goes as her interpreter. I will place you on a salary as well. But, there is one condition upon which both your lives depend."
William's eyes became very alert and eager. "I will do anything to stay by her side."
El-Jefe smiled. "you will not have any intimate contact with Lola outside what is expected of you professionally so as not to interfere with her activities." He lashed out the cigar on the ashtray in front of him. "it is a rather fortuitous opportunity since Lola must not speak any other language apart from Spanish, so your services would be required wherever she goes. You will earn your keep, and I shall pay every dime. I must warn you however, one misstep may mean lethal consequences for both you and Lola.'' The smile on his face remained but the menace of his words was not lost on either of them.
Both William and Lola exchanged glances, and with no other logical choice left, agreed to El-Jefe's arrangement.
