The cave of the Karak was deep and dark. I peered into it thoughtfully as I dismounted my horse and handed my brother the reins.
Sir Therio, my brother, frowned down at me from his horse. "Are you sure you wish to go through with this?"
I nodded. "Of course. The king has promised to wed me to the princess when I succeed." Ah, the princess... I had known Princess Rosette since we were both children, but recently our friendship had blossomed into so much more.
My brother's frown deepened. "If you succeed."
I laughed. "Of course I will succeed! I am the strongest knight in the kingdom."
"But the Karak is said to be unbeatable," Sir Therio worried. "It has been said to have defeated whole armies before."
I snorted. "The stories are all old, and from a long ways off. I, personally, don't believe them. And, besides, I have this!" I pulled the bottle I had been given out of my pouch. "The court wizard told me that it will allow me to save the kingdom from the Karak."
My brother sighed. "I'm a bit worried about how vague he was about its exact effects."
I shrugged. "He said it wouldn't be difficult to use. I just drink it when I see the Karak."
"But-" my brother protested.
I waved my hand to cut him off. "Enough of that. I'm going now. Take care of my horse." And, with that, I entered the cave. I could feel my brother's worried eyes on my back as I went, right up until a bend in the path removed me and my light stone from his sight.
I continued onwards until I came to a fork in the path. Shrugging, I went right.I had a fantastic sense of direction. If I kept track of which way I went at each turn, I could easily search the maze of passageways.
An hour later, I had to admit I was lost. I sat down at an intersection, and debated what to do next.
"Ah, Sir Robert," whispered a voice that seemed to come from every direction at once. "I've been expecting you."
I looked around warily. "Who's there?"
"Who do you think I am?" The voice was raspy, and vaguely sinister.
"The Karak..." I breathed.
"Yes, Sir Robert. I am the one you seek," the Karak answered. It chuckled. "But you appear to have lost your way... Without my help, you will never make it to me."
"And you wish to help me, do you?" I sneered. "Why? Do you want to die?"
The Karak sighed. "I'm bored. You will be good entertainment. And if I die, well, I am very old. I grow weary of this lonely existence."
"I can understand that," I told the being. "So you'll guide me?"
"Yes. But you must do something for me first."
"What?" I asked warily.
"It is a simple thing, easily done," said the Karak. "I will guide you to a waterfall in the cave, where you will bathe. You no doubt stink from your journey."
"That I do," I agreed, still wary. "Guide me to the waterfall, and then I shall decide."
The waterfall in question was, indeed, perfect for bathing, almost like it had been made for it. It cascaded over a stuck out lip of rock into a small pool in the cave floor, with a small private grotto behind the falls. When I stuck my hand in the water, it was surprisingly warm. The only problem was the vague smell of sulfur, but that was easy to ignore. "So I bathe here?" I asked the echoing voice.
"Yes," the Karak agreed. "Then, when you are clean, I will guide you to me."
I looked around. The Karak obviously had some sense of where I was in the cave system, but could it see me?
I decided it didn't matter, but resolved to wear my sword belt into my bath, and carry the potion in its corked bottle. Just in case.
I set my light stone on a convenient outcropping in the wall, and began to strip. Before long, I was down to my underwear. Nervously, I removed them, and set them neatly beside the rest of my clothing. Then I stepped into the waterfall.
The water felt amazing as it ran down my body. I stuck my head under, and did my best to clean my hair. As I pulled my head out, I took a deep breath, and realized the odor of the sulfur had been drowned out by a strange, musky scent. The smell was not wholly unpleasant, I decided as I scrubbed down my arms. A definite improvement over the sulfur. It reminded me of something, though I wasn't certain what.
My thoughts drifted to Rosette, and our heartfelt, ardent goodbyes, said in the dead of night while we lay side by side, spent from our lovemaking. I had waited for her to fall asleep before I slipped away. I smiled, remembering her relaxed face, and her pert breasts, just barely peeking out from under the covers. Her legs, splayed, and between them, under the sheets, her soft, warm-
I blinked, realizing that I now had a hard on. I sighed, and debated taking care of it. No, I decided. My pants were loose, and, anyways, the Karak might be watching. I didn't want that strange being to see me pleasure myself. The idea of it watching, enjoying the show, disgusted me.
Finished washing, I stepped out of the waterfall, and got a nasty shock. My clothing was gone! "Karak!" I barked. "Where are my clothes? My armor?"
The Karak chuckled. "You don't need them, so I took them away. There is a towel by the door. Dry yourself."
I growled. "You're right. I don't need my armor to defeat you!" It was a good thing I'd held onto my sword and the potion. Swiftly, I dried myself off. Then I drew my sword and stalked out the door, potion uncorked in my off hand. "Ok, I'm clean, and I'm dry. Tell me where you are!"
Something touched my naked ass. "Oh, not far."
I whirled, and almost froze in shock. Almost. The Karak... It was huge, the size of a draft horse! Tentacles extended from it, some ending in eyes, others vaguely phallic in nature. The one trying to wrap itself around my waist was phallic, I noted as I sliced it in half, freeing myself. The main body, and most of the tentacles, were a dark, vaguely brownish green. The phallic tentacles, though, ended in a bruise like dark purple.
Time to drink the potion, I thought as I fended off tentacles. I pressed the bottle to my lips and gulped it down.
It took effect instantly, though not in the way I had expected. I grew dizzy, and clumsy in my movements. The Karak plucked the sword and the potion bottle from my hands. I gasped, and tried to speak. The only sound that came out was, "Nnnnnmmmmmph."
I barely noticed the Karak removing my sword belt, focused as I was on retrieving my sword, which the Karak held just out of my reach. The dizzy feeling grew stronger, and I felt strangely weak. I collapsed into the Karak's waiting tentacles.
"You are quite lovely, little knight," hissed the Karak. "I had not expected someone quite so... Pretty. Your long blond hair, your slender, youthful form, they are quite attractive. Not to mention your ass." The Karak ran a tentacle over the place in question.
