//A little forewarning. This part of this story doesnt really contain any sex or intimate parts at least until the very end. There will probably be a second part at some point with more story. I apologize if this is bad its my first story and I can already tell that my sex scene is pretty bad so pointers or whatever would help! Anyways ill stop chatting at you as i know it can be annoying. I hope you enjoy the read!

Three days. Three days is what it took to remake me, but they were the best three days of my life.

I was once a warrior. I traveled from village to village taking contracts and helping the people. I however made the mistake of entering the territory of Scarwood named after the Scarwood Fort which was the first settlement in the area. It's a beautiful territory filled with forests, as one would expect, as well as rivers, lakes, and the odd homestead or town.

I remember distinctly how content everyone seemed to be. Everyone was provided for, and the sense of community was staggering to say the least. I saw no indication of rivalries or feuds like in the other lands I had visited. For a while I just figured everything was just good for these people until I met Jovan, this hermit out in one of the especially large woods. I had been given directions to the hut he lived in by a little old woman who wanted to make sure he had some food to eat.

Upon entering the hut I found out what I expected. Dirt floor, dingy dusty everything, and him rockin back and forth in the corner. Seeing me he jumped to his feet rushing over to me, his eyes wide with surprise.

"Who are you? What are you doing here? Did she send you? Is she finally getting rid of me?" The barrage of questions was a little overestimating to say the least, so I showed him the basket of food.

"I was sent by Botila. She was concerned that you might not be eating well out here by yourself. So she asked me to bring this to you." A look of relief crossed his face was good to see though it didn't last long.

"Are these poisoned? How do I know if you are telling the truth?" It occurred to me at that moment that this man may have been paranoid, because of who or what was unclear.

"I don't believe so... may I ask, are you well sir? I can't imagine that you are like this all the time?" He moved away from me waving his hands and resuming his sitting position on the floor.

"You don't know what I know... I know that all those happy people in the village are being controlled. They... they go about their lives not knowing what horrors lie in the fort... that our benevolent Queen is a witch! She practices dark magic raising the dead and keeping the village folk unaware with her evil powers," Jovan then jumped up clearly not done telling his tale, "but worst of all is the fact that everyone thinks she is kind and peaceful and loving and provides for us! But I know the truth, it's all lies!" He was being more eccentric by the moment raising his voice, and marching around the room with more energy then I had seen thus far.

"If this is the case then why haven't you told anyone? Gone to a neighboring kingdom or found mercenaries willing to take up the cause of releasing you." I was skeptical at that point. Dark magic was a rarity in this part of the world. It was outlawed centuries ago by a coalition of magic users and kings. Everyone proven to be practicing it was hunted and put to death.

"I did tell the people they didn't believe me! They said someone who asks for no taxes yet gives away some of their food stocks each year can't be evil. They laughed at me... that's why I left. I am too weak and poor to travel long distances." As sudden as everything else he did he looked at me, an idea seemingly springing into his head.

"Would you be willing to go and see? You can tell everyone what's going on! They would believe you! You could bring back some evidence! I'm sure a woman like yourself is capable of that." He watched me with hopeful eyes wanting me to confirm that he wasn't crazy. I being the noble woman that I was... arguably still am said yes.

"I will go to this castle. Where is it?" He quickly grabbed a piece of paper writing down directions. I was surprised that this peasant knew how to write. That was uncommon, something I didn't see much in the other kingdoms.

"Here take this... it's about a day's journey from here, so I would recommend leaving in the morning. I'm sure her powers only get stronger in the dark." Jovan seems adamant about this. Not a single ounce of doubt that the queen was evil.

"I will return in a few days then... if I don't I suppose you were right." I still didn't believe him not fully. He seemed unhinged and crazy but sometimes people like that are right.

I set out back to the village and stayed the night in this lovely little family's home. I told them about the encounter with Jovan relaying his tales about their queen. The family laughed and said it was nonsense. Sure the queen didn't really leave her castle, but she never demanded anything from them. All she asked was for the people to live their lives free of worry. They told me that if anyone was down on their luck if a harvest failed they were helped by the queen. Receiving gold or food or any manor things to help them live without worry.

This idea of a benevolent queen was far flung from an evil one. They were like two sides of a coin. I needed to see for myself.

The next morning I set off with a bag of fresh food and happy wishes from the villagers. They were all so kind and a delight to be around it honestly was a shame to leave them. However the journey to the castle was equally pleasant. The roads were well maintained and fairly empty. However on approach to the castle the scenery changed drastically. The trees began to look more twisted and withered, the road was more overgrown and not nearly as smooth. A thick fog set in almost as if I were in a swamp.

Next thing I knew I was in front of a gate overgrown with vines, the walls surrounding it were crumbling, and the battlements looked broken.

I called out to see if there were any guards, "Hello! Anybody here!" I was met with a deafening silence that made my whole body shiver. I knew that I shouldn't be here. This place felt dead, everything about it permeated with signals of evil. As I was about to leave though the gate opened, lifting slowly upward with a clang from the large metal chains lifting it. I was confused and hesitant as it appeared the gate had opened on its own. I stepped into the courtyard seeing no signs of activity. My curiosity got the better of me driving my legs forward to an unknown destination.

I made my way inside the castle wandering the halls looking for any signs that someone lived here. To my surprise the inside of the castle was kept very well. No dust or cobwebs could be seen, the torches lighting the walls were lit and the decor was all in its place. I idly traced my hand over the walls tracing the lines in the stone as I moved forward. The layout was even eloquent, yet simple at the same time. The hallways linked everything together, but I had a destination in mind. I headed for the largest doors I could find hoping to find a throne room. The gold ornate doors that I came across rather early were as tall as the ceiling reaching higher than a hill giant. The symbols carved in them reminded me of the magic heirlooms some of the wizards of the Highlands had.

I pulled on one of the large rings. Finding that the doors, despite their size, were easy to open. I peeked inside seeing pitch black darkness other than a small glowing orb at the other end of the room. I pushed the door all the way open, taking a step inside reaching for a torch. That was when suddenly the whole room became light with this blinding white light that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust, but when they did I found something that horrified me. Rows upon rows of skeletons on either side of the long red carpet leading up to the throne. Skeletons in and of themselves are not very scary; however, they are quite disturbing when they are standing up with their eye sockets looking lifelessly at you.

"May I ask why you have come to my castle, miss?" The voice came from the throne, but noone was sat upon it. That was when I realized a small woman in a red dress was walking in from a door near the throne. She had her nose in a book evidently not too concerned with both my presence of the skeletons.

"I was told that an evil queen lived here. I had my doubts but these," I motioned to the animated skeletons, "Have changed my mind. I reached down placing a hand on the pommel of my sword ready to draw it at a moment's notice.

The woman looked up ever so briefly giving me the once over with an almost bored look, "Oh... is this some sort of joke? Can a woman not have some Skeletons in her employ without being evil." She scoffed, taking a seat in the throne she crossed her legs and placed the small table next to her.

"How can someone practice the art of necromancy and not be evil? This magic is forbidden because it creates power-hungry tyrants." I drew my sword ready to move forward to begin the battle. I could feel it coming. Every fiber of my being knew that this evil doer needed to be stopped. No dark magic could be permitted to exist because it was evil by its very nature.

"Really? You think that little sword scares me? I have seen warriors far greater than you in my time... Not one of them was here to kill me though. Now that I mention it, it has been a long time since someone has visited." She seemed to muse that over for a moment. I took a step forward and all of the undead in the room didn't like that however. They all moved bringing their weapons to bear, moving in front me placing themselves as a shield in front of the queen.

"Well I will, No evil can exist if I can help it." I pulled my shield from my back, taking up a stance ready for battle waiting for the unseeing horde to make the first move.

"You really are so close minded. Maybe I can fix that for you yea? It had been so very long since I have had someone to play with... These skeletons aren't very talkative, you know." I was tired of waiting. I bent my knees and then took off determined to break all of these unholy creations so that I could kill their creator. Well I tried almost as soon as I had moved forward chains shot from the walls wrapping around me faster than I could comprehend it was happening. My sword clatter to the ground as well as my shield; they were quickly whisked away by yet more chains. My arms were spread wide and my feet pulled apart making me look like and x.

"So naive," The witch waved her hand a small purple glow emanating from it. All of the skeletons took a step back resuming their positions of standing like statues watching me with hollow eye sockets.

"Unhand me witch I will not be twisted or toyed with for your pleasure." I struggled hard pulling and twisting in the chains that held me. I watched helplessly as she approached walking with a confident saunter that made me quiver in fear. I knew that I had made a mistake by entering this place. I did not show fear however, because I knew someone like this would only get off on it.

"Twist and toy? You have no idea what I am capable of dollface I could tear your flesh from your bones, I could make your mind a puddle of fear only capable of running away in terror from whatever you encouter, I could turn you into a common street whore only looking to fucked by men, hell I could make you think you are a maid someone who worships the very ground I walk on." She moved ever closer with every statement making it a point to look as intimidating as possible even though I was taller than her by a couple of heads.

"You... You can't do any of that." My fear was getting the better of causing me to stutter and try to hide away from this horrible woman.

"You doubt my abilities doll? You are sorely mistaken to do so." She was now in front of me as she spoke the last word. She reached up and put one of her hands on my throat.

"You think I'm so evil why wouldn't I do any one of those things or multiple hmmm? Name your worst fear and I will make it a reality. I could do anything I want to you, but..." She removed her hand and walked away for a moment. She waved her right hand again and an orange glow could be seen surrounding it this time. As she did the chains the held me loosened letting me fall to the floor terrified for my life.

"Please please don't hurt me." I was beyond rational thought at that point it was clear that I was well in over my head. All I wanted at that point was to get out of that castle alive.

"Hurt you? Oh darling I wouldn't hurt a pretty thing like you unless you asked me to." She turned to face me once more, a chair flying from one of the side doors to just behind her allowing her to sit down a smooth transition from her intimidating nature just moments before to sounding like she was flirting with me.

"You... you aren't going to hurt me? Then why with the display?" I was confused as to the motives of the sorceress in front of me.

"I wanted to make sure that you knew who was in charge. After all I can't have some common warrior going around telling people I'm evil when I'm not. Plus it is oh so fun to see a person like yourself shaking in their boots at the sight of me." She gave a genuine smile, her thin lips parting to reveal a set of remarkably white teeth. I was honestly too stunned to speak, so she just kept talking.

"Plus I figure if I make you fear for your life it would be easier to convince you to do something for me. Though I have already done it to you without asking." My eyes widened and I looked down at myself patting all around to try and find whatever this witch did to me.

"Oh don't worry about anything like that, it has nothing to do with your physical form. I placed a little spell on you that keeps you from harming me in any way. It's more of a ward, but that's why I needed to touch your throat." I breathed a sigh of relief which seemed to please the witch because she gave me another smile.

"Though I suppose it could also be used to incapacitate you if I amplified it, but I am not in need of that." She seemed so relaxed now even more than before. The witch then stood and began drawing runes in the air in front of her, the space slowly being filled with white magical energy with impossibly complexity. I watched from the floor fascinated by the process causing me to not worry about why it was happening. It took a while to complete then she pushed it over me causing me to once again panic, but I didn't feel any different.

"What did you just do to me, witch?" I stood in that moment feeling angry that she continued to cast spells on me even though she was claiming that she wouldn't hurt me.

"Well I'm glad you asked," She sat back down in her chair looking quite tired, but pleased with herself, "I cast one of the most complex and dangerous spells I know flawlessly. It allows me to play with your mind."

I was bewildered and enraged, "You keep sending conflicting messages at me and I will have none of it." I reached forward to grab her, but my hand stopped in front of her. I couldn't move it until I withdrew. I tried again, blinded by anger not remembering that I couldn't hurt her even if I had wanted to.

"Wow... A little hot headed are we?" She summoned the chains again, pulling me back and restraining me in the same way they had before.

"I think we need to change that, don't you?" She waved her left hand this time a purple glow touching the edges of her long thin fingers. Soon after a rift opened. It was black around the edges with a purple void inside which contained all sorts of colorful lines that almost looked like lines of yarn pulled tight over the space. She moved her hands inside the rift seemingly moving the area we were looking at around till she found a bright red sting that was twisted and bent. She took hold of it and straightened it out. As she did I felt my anger dissipate, my muscles relaxed, and my breathing slowed.

"What did you do?" I asked again not knowing how to comprehend the sudden loss of all my anger.

"I merely took away your existing anger.. You see this rift is a simplified version of your thoughts, memories and emotions. I cast a spell that allows me to manipulate them. For instance if I wanted to make you feel happy," she pulled on a yellow string causing me to feel a warmth inside me, and I smiled at the pleasant feeling, " I can make you feel happy. I could make you feel or think just about anything." Despite my suddenly good mood this concept terrified me. I noticed soon after that large blue black string was twisting and turning.

"Oh my there is no need to feel that way." She reached in smoothing it out all the while keeping my happy string active. I didn't know how to feel about not being able to feel scared about all this. I knew it should bother me, but at the moment it didn't.

"So what are you planning to do with this newfound power over me?" The witch chuckled and let go of the yellow string causing the good feeling to dissipate leaving me in a state of uncertainty.

"Well I want to play with you a little bit to see what I can do. I haven't gotten a chance to use this on anyone and I'm sure you wouldn't mind spending a few days with me?" She posed it both as a question and a statement. I wasn't entirely sure if I should answer the question or just let her keep talking. Within a moment though she made the decision for me.

"No time to waste darling, let's go somewhere more... comfortable." She let the chains loose again causing me to fall to the floor for the second time in about three minutes. I felt like I couldn't really say no at this point, so I got up and walked with her passing through one of the side doors down three hallways and up two staircases and we arrived at... a library?

"Your more comfortable spot is in a library?" I asked not really understanding the logic there. I personally found rooms at inns with nice fluffy beds to be my favorite spots to be at.

She nodded sitting down on a lavish looking couch that was red with some gold scattered around, "I suppose if we are going to be spending some more time together we should at least know eachothers names. My name is Edith... I am the daughter of King Menfit and Queen Harriet, successor to their titles, fortune, knowledge and so on and so forth... And who might you be beautiful warrior?" She leaned her head on her hand tilting it ever so slightly to the left. I was torn between telling her no and just going along with it. I didn't want to stay here, but I couldn't muster any concern.

"My name is Victoria. I didn't know my parents. And I inherited nothing from the people who raised me." It was odd to me that I mirrored what she had told me, normally I would just say my name and leave it at that, but I guess I was just being polite.

"Victoria... What a lovely name. Tell me about yourself. You obviously are some sort of mercenary and I'm sure against any other opponent you would fare quite well. Surely there is some sort of story there." These probing questions put me on edge as I wasn't sure how this was important to whatever she was gonna do to me.

I stood there not moving for several seconds before I finally decided to take a seat, "Well I grew up in an orphanage and I had a few friends and I who left as soon as we could fend for ourselves. We stole food and whatnot slept in caves outside of town. It wasn't long after we had left that I got caught by one of the guards. I was thirteen then. He decided to give me a home. I refused at first and was a little rebellious but soon I found that I liked his company and that of his family. He trained me to fight, got me some equipment and I left at nineteen to see if I could make a name for myself. I haven't ever gone back to thank him... But I know he would be proud of me." I am not sure if it was because of the spell she placed on me, or the fact that she had taken away my ability to worry at least for the moment, but I just kinda spilled my whole story, something I very rarely shared with anyone. Edith nodded and listened, seemingly very interested.
