"Everything," I said, trying to keep my face level. "So, If I said I wanted all of the girls to want to stay here, with me as a doting band of sex servants, could you do that?"
Caroline, or Mother, frowned. "I mean, I
could,
but they would never be happy with it. Not if they were forced. I can control them for short periods and, for want of a better explanation, I can dump ideas into their heads, but I can't influence them to be happy with something for long periods of time like Freja can. Would you want them to stay with you like that?" She caught the look on my face. "You don't want them to be forced, do you?" She chuckled wryly.
"No. And to be honest, this conversation would have been over pretty quickly if you had said yes." I half smiled back at her.
"So what can I offer to convince you to stay?"
I thought for a few pregnant moments. "Tell me what is happening beyond the island?"
Mother frowned. "I'm probably going to need you to be a little more specific."
I took a deep breath but kept my gaze level. "Freja told me that the reason we were brought here was to protect us from some calamity that was ravaging the rest of the world. War, disease, she wasn't sure what it was, only that her brother, Death, was starting something big."
"Did she?" The pretty features of Caroline's face scrunched up in confusion, but her eyes slowly turned a misty shade of grey as Mother gazed across the vastness of the ocean. Her eyebrows furrowed deeper with every passing moment. "Armies are on the march," she said slowly. "Global tensions are rising. One government is threatening sanctions and military action against another. The media is stirring up a shitstorm; people are beginning to wonder if war is going to break out soon." She cocked her head to the side, then shrugged and opened her eyes. "Just a normal, everyday Tuesday in paradise, as far as I can tell."
"So you're saying that Freja lied to me?"
"No, well, maybe, but I couldn't know either way. Think about all the conflicts that have broken out in the last hundred years or so; they were all triggered by an event that the rest of the world didn't see coming. The assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, the Nazi invasion of Poland, the North Koreans crossing the 38th Parallel, the invasion of the Falklands, and the invasion of Kuwait. Nobody really knew they were at war until they already were."
"What about illnesses or diseases?"
"That's harder to judge; there are always a few dozen pathogens around that could wipe out humanity, and scientists usually have a pretty good handle on those. But again, it's the ones they don't see coming that are the most dangerous ones. And by the time the rest of the world understands it's a big deal, it's already too late."
I sighed and rolled my neck.
"Look, Dan. I can't really convince you either way. I am asking you to stay. It will save the lives of millions of people. I don't know what I can offer you personally to sweeten the deal; maybe a few of the girls would want to stay with you, and maybe I could even lure some more here. But they are all maybes. I can't
promise
you anything but..."
"Wait... Freja said something about more people coming to the Island."
Mother frowned, clearly thinking about something. "But that doesn't make sense," she mumbled to herself. "Unless..."
She looked up at me as if reappraising me. "Unless what?" I asked impatiently.
"Can I ask you to trust me just for one night?"
"I... um... would need to know what you are thinking first."
"I want to take over one of your girls, and then I want you to fuck me," she answered plainly as if it were the most reasonable request on earth. "Not Hayley or Hannah; they are already pregnant, and that would interfere with the results. And I think you would rather it not be one of Ray or Tom's girls. You can pick who. I promise no harm will come to them, and I will leave their bodies as soon as the deed is done."
"But... why?"
"It's just a theory right now, and I don't want to complicate things by explaining it all to you only for me to be wrong. I know you have no reason to trust me after listening to Dr. Walker's recordings, but please..."
I held her eye for a moment. I had never really looked at her properly before, but Caroline really was remarkably beautiful. Her eyes had swirls of different shades of brown running through them, and she looked at me as if she was using her long lashes to frame my appearance. Full pouting lips, flawlessly smooth skin, and a long, slender neck which - only a few minutes earlier - had been bulging around my cock.
I took a deep breath and sighed. "Alright, I agree, I think Katie would be the best option, I would say I am the least close with her. When are you thinking?"
Mother sighed deeply and smiled. "I will need a few hours after releasing Caroline, but I would like to do it ton..."
"Hey, wait," I interrupted, "What about the dark-haired woman?"
"I... what?" Caroline's face scrunched up in confusion. "What dark-haired woman? Do you mean Louisa? She's the only dark haired..."
"No, not Lousia. Dr. Walker said that you had visited the people who were here before as a dark-haired woman. That you interacted with the islanders, that when Doug called you out, they killed him."
Caroline was squinting at me through one eye, clearly not having the slightest idea what I was talking about. "Dan, if I could manifest as a physical being, I wouldn't need to take control over Caroline to talk to you. Hell, I wouldn't need to take over anyone to do anything. I could just do it myself. I don't know what you are talking about."
I pinched the bridge of my nose and huffed. "I'm getting the impression that I am only working with half a deck here."
Mother was silent. I looked up at her to find her deep in thought, a finger idly twirling one of her short brown locks of hair. "I need to think about this. Can I get back to you later, as Katie? Please?"
I held her eye for a few moments before nodding. "Okay, I'm going to trust you. Don't make me regret it."
She nodded once and hung her head. A second later, Caroline snapped her head up and blinked around the clearing. Her eyes, while still gorgeous, seemed to have lost that spark that was there when Mother was inside her. There was a brief frown before she shook it off. "Oh, Dan, there you are. The others were looking for you; I told them I would come and find you."
I smiled back at her. "Thanks, Caroline. I'll walk back with you."
"Hey! You can tell us apart," she giggled. "You'll have to let Ray know how you did it."
"Let's just say it was a lucky guess," I chuckled back, gesturing toward the gun emplacement and back into the bunker for her to go first.
********
The slow, wet,
deep
suction on my cock pulled me out of a sleep of broken dreams and unanswered questions. I had waited all evening for Katie to make her move, or to be more accurate, for Mother to take control of her and make some sort of sign that she was ready to go. But nothing happened. In the darkness of the bunker, with only the flickering torchlight outside our bedroom door, it was impossible for me to tell who was working her mouth up and down my shaft. Hayley was still curled into the side of me, her head still on my chest and her heavy breathing still wafting over my skin. Hannah, who had been on the other side of me, had rolled over at some point while I had been sleeping, but her gloriously firm ass was now pressed into the side of my thigh. I reached down and ran my hand through the hair of my mystery seductress just to let her know I was awake.
There was a soft purr around my cock, and she pulled off. Reaching up to her head, she took my hand and helped me untangle myself from the web of limbs and sleeping women before pulling me to my feet. As silent as the dead, I was led out of the bedroom and into the corridor.
Katie was as naked as the day she was born. Her dark, chestnut hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her eyes smouldered in the dim light, but that fire behind them - that spark I had recognized in Caroline's eyes - was back where it belonged. "Sorry for the wait," Mother said. "It takes much less energy to take over a sleeping mind than a conscious one, and after this afternoon, I was pretty drained." She still had hold of my hand and was leading me toward one of the gun emplacements, not the one we had originally found, but one of the emplacements found during my exploration.
