The Client Ch 02

While sitting at his desk John heard the sound of an incoming email message. Briefly glancing at the pop-up in the bottom right corner of his screen he noticed the sender, it was his new client, Michelle. He felt a rush of excitement before minimizing the spreadsheet he was working on and bringing up his email. With two quick clicks he opened her message and read:

Hello John,

I wanted to thank you again and look forward to all the wonderful things you will be doing for Me. As a way to thank you I wanted to send you another one of My recordings to listen to until I see you with a check next week. Listen to it as much as you want and let it help you relax when the stresses of your day get to be too much. It would please Me to know if you like it or not.

While wondering why she was not better at capitalization John wondered if he had a few minutes to begin listening to the new recording. Looking at the time he thought a brief break could not hurt and got up from his desk and closed the door. Returning to his chair he picked up the headphones that were always plugged into his computer and put the ear buds snugly into each ear. Clicking the link started a download of the file onto his computer. After about thirty seconds the file was complete and the auto play began.

"Hello my baby," came the sweet voice he had heard in his office only yesterday, "it's time to relax for Me again as I introduce you to my feedback loops. My voice makes it so easy for you to relax. My words quickly taking you down into a state of deep relaxation."

Early the next morning John sat at his desk and opened up his desktop. Pulling up all his usual applications he clicked on his email. As he was reading and deleting he saw the email from Michelle he had received the day before and read through it again in the reading pane. He realized he had never responded to her and knew you should never leave a client's email unanswered.

Good morning Michelle,

Thank you for trusting us with your business and I look forward to seeing you next week. The recording is a little hard to describe but I believe it is a very effective one given the results. Honestly it feels a bit awkward talking about it, but with your apparent success in your business I think you understand. See you next week.

John

He read it over one time wondering if he should change any of the writing in the middle about her recording, but she did ask for feedback and you always give a client what they want. Checking for grammar and spelling mistakes, something he was known for, he hit the send button. "Well," he thought, "I feel better about that," and was surprised at how good it did feel to get that taken care of.
