The five influencers walked into the lobby of the Quinn hotel. Back in its heyday, the Quinn was one of the country's most luxurious and well-regarded hotels. Its owner, Quinn Meyer was a masterful hotelier, and was known to have an almost supernatural touch with other people. Everyone who stayed at the hotel seemed to have nothing but good things to say, and Meyer seemed to be able to calm even the most ornery of guests.
After her death, the hotel had fallen into disrepair but continued to operate, though guests were few and far between. But in the last few months, whispers on ghost hunting forums started to say it was seriously haunted, though nobody had done a serious investigation into it yet.
That was what caught the attention of Knox, a content creator who got big doing ghost hunting videos. Since his channel had grown, he started to branch out into all sorts of content, but after some controversy has lost him a ton of subscribers, he decided to return to his roots. And that led him to the Quinn.
Accompanying him was Kristaβan up-and-coming makeup creator who started to gain popularity after a collab with Knoxβand his best friend Tony. Tony usually did react content, but after running into his own bout of controversy (he had to apologize for something offensive he said during an apology video), he decided to try something new to get his viewers' minds off of things.
Josh and Sarah rounded out the group. They were both Christian, and a couple. Their content focused on dating and relationship advice for people who wanted to stay faithful to god while navigating the dating world. This wasn't their usual scene either, but Josh was close friends with both Knox and Tony, so he jumped at the chance to come along, and forced Sarah to go too.
The group arrived late in the evening, and after checking in, getting to their rooms and unpacking their gear it was just past 11 PM when they all gathered in the lobby.
"Alright guys, let's split up," Knox said.
"Yeah, cause that always ends well," Tony said.
"Shut the fuck up, Tony. We'll never cover everything just walking around together. And it's creepier if there aren't as many of us."
"If that's the case, I can just stay in our room," Sarah chimed in, clinging on to Josh's arm. "I still can't believe I let you all talk me into this. This doesn't even have anything to do with our content."
"Don't worry, babe," Josh replied. "It'll be fine. God will protect us from any supernatural misfortune. We'll show our viewers just how important faith is when we're safe and sound all night, and all these guys are getting their asses haunted."
"Can Krista at least come with us? It would be good to have another girl around for a change."
"Yeah, that would be nice," Krista said, softly. She was taking some time to get used to hanging out with big creators, and was still a bit shy.
"No, Krista stays with me," Knox said. "We'll shoot a quick intro in my room then shoot the west side of the building. You guys take the east."
"Alright, let's get this show on the road," Tony said.
The group split up, and started wandering the dark halls of the Quinn.

"Hey there fans! It's me, ya boi Knox!"
"And it's me Krista!"
"And we got something new for you guys today. I was thinking about getting back into my ghost hunting content, when I learned about this place: the Quinn. You guys probably haven't heard of it, but it's supposed to be haunted as hell. So we're here to put it to the test. I'm here with a bunch of other creators, so if there are any ghosts to be found, you can bet we'll scare 'em up. You'll see them a bit later on in the video, but right now I'm here with Krista."
"Thanks, Knox! You guys might recognize me from the collab we did a while back. And I know we're supposed to be all scared, but I just wanted to say a bit thank you to Knox, and all you guys. Your support since then has truly changed my life. And I was so grateful to Knox that I even agreed to come to this place which is honestly already the spookiest place I've been in my life."
"Right now, it's almost midnight so if we have to get going so we can find the best place to be at 3 AM. Later, guys!"
Knox grabbed his camera from the desk, and stopped the recording.
"I meant what I said, Knox. About being grateful," said Krista, getting up and gathering her things before they ventured out of Knox's room. "The success lately has been amazing, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without you help."
Knox smiled, and stood up next to her. A little too close for Krista's liking.
"Oh yeah? How grateful?" Knox said, taking another step closer. Krista felt a hand on her ass, forcefully grabbing it.
"Hey!" she yelled, quickly stepping away. "I mean... sorry, I didn't mean it that way. You're nice but I'm not interested in that... in doing that with you."
"Aw, c'mon Krista! You said it yourself. You would never be where you are without me. You keep saying thank you. Maybe now you can show it."
Krista started to sweat, and breathe more heavily. "I... Sorry, I left something in my room, I'll be right back," she said, barely pausing between words. Before Knox could say anything, she had slammed his door shut behind her.
"That ungrateful bitch," Knox muttered.

"So, this is fucking lame," Tony said, his voice echoing up and down the empty hallway. Most of the lights around the building worked, but were so dim, they might as well have been candles.
But while it was harder than they would like to walk around, the group hadn't encountered anything even the least bit scary.
"I can't believe I let you talk me into this, Josh," Sarah said. As much as she hated to agree with Tony, he was right. They had been walking for half an hour and they hadn't come across anything even remotely scary.
"Babe, would you please chill out?" Josh snapped. "I told you, this will be good for the channel."
Sarah sighed, and decided to stop arguing. Another day, another thing that Josh would refuse to listen to her about. She was just along for the ride, like she usually was. Whether it was Josh dragging her to do whatever he wanted to do, or the church telling her what was good or bad, she felt like she could never explore the things she actually wanted to.
Like sex. Despite her church constantly telling her it was wrong to have sex before marriage, and that it should only be for procreation, she never stopped being intensely curious about it.
Not that Josh was any help with that. He constantly badgered her for sex, but never understood when she tried to talk about the guilt she felt when she did, or even thought about anything sexual. To make things worse, he was never any good at it. They had only had sex twice, and both times they stopped after he came.
"This looks promising," Josh said, after a few minutes of silence. They rounded a corner and found that the hallway ahead was pitch black. They could only see by the moonlight streaming through a large window on one wall.
"Now we're getting somewhere," said Tony, making his way down the dark hallway, waving his camera back and forth. "C'mon out, ghosts! Haunt me or some shit!" Josh and Sarah followed.
"Hey, you guys go on ahead, I'm gonna see if I can get a shot of the grounds through the window," Josh said.
"Okay, but don't leave me alone for too long," Sarah said, walking on with Tony.
