Evan tried to look at his phone, hoping that he could eventually charge his earbuds enough to drown out the noise of the club around him.
His friends had invited him here to help him come out of his shell, and find a chick to get with. But once again, they had gotten too distracted to stick around with him for too long.
He didn't blame them.
As he continued scrolling, he eventually noticed something that he previously thought impossible.
A woman was looking at him.
He moved to the chair next to him, to help her get a better view of the guy behind him. But there was only a wall behind him. And the woman kept her eyes on him.
She was a tall brunette, in a leather jacket, tanktop, and jeans.
Not only a woman at all, but a woman like that? Looking at him?
Reality became stranger the closer she came.
Her red lips formed into a smile and then a light giggle as she looked down towards him.
"Hey. How are you?"
"Great." Evan said, nervously shifting in his seat.
"You look great too. Mind if I take a seat?"
Evan gestured to a seat across from him, but the woman sat in the chair right next to him instead.
"My name's Ashley. Yours is Evan, right? But I think I'll call you...delicious."
She leaned in closer to him, and bit her lip. Evan tried to assemble any words, remember what he trained himself to talk about, but this woman didn't seem to be interested in his mouth. At least not yet.
He flinched as she wrapped her hands around his arm.
"You look so strong, baby. You work out right?"
"Uh, yeah."
"I can see that. You're in pretty good shape? No big diseases or allergies?"
"No?"
Ashley responded to his confusion with a gleeful smile.
"You're perfect. Take me home, honey. I'm all yours." she said, now feeling both of his arms.
"I...I don't know."
