Meadow sighed softly as she looked out the window of her house. It was rather lonely these days. She worked from home and didn't go out much due to not having very many friends. One afternoon however after a particularly lonely day she decided to go out to a bar or something and try to interact with the world. She dressed up finding a nice form-fitting dress and some small heels. It was all she could do really not a fashionista or anything she just wanted to look nice.
Once she was dressed she gave her little snake a boop on the nose and departed for a local bar downtown. She took an uber not her first choice but she didn't have a vehicle at the moment. Once she had arrived she scooped out the place picking a nice spot in the middle of the seating area to sip her drink. She got a sex on the beach nice and sweet. She sat there for over an hour with no luck... No one really seemed to be interested in her all the people she saw just went about their business dancing with friends or dates. She however just sat there mostly people-watching.
Soon enough though a serious-looking brunette with the shortest dress Meadow had ever seen walked over, "Excuse me," She said her voice a little nasally and condescending, "You are sitting in our spot."
Meadow looked at her raising an eyebrow, "Oh... I was unaware that this bar had reservations."
The other girl frowned at her clearly not liking the fact that Meadow didn't immediately move, "Well... There isn't but I and my friends always sit here. You might not know that because it looks like you don't go out much but if you did you would know not to sit in our spot."
Meadow couldn't help but be rather annoyed at the girls' tone. She sounded spoiled and mean something that Meadow always despised, "Alright, but you don't seem to have any friends with you... Why don't you just find somewhere else to sit until they get here and then I will move." It seemed like a decent compromise to Meadow she really didn't feel like moving as this was a good spot one where you could see the whole bar.
"Hmmm.... How about you just get your scrawny ass out of my seat and leave instead." She crossed her arms and put all her weight onto her left side giving a sort of take me seriously type of pose.
"Listen girl you can sit here with me until your friends get here or you can go find somewhere else to sit I am not moving." Meadow could see her opponent fill in annoyance. She even thought maybe steam would come out of the other's ears.
"Why you little..." She stopped herself suddenly taking a deep breath she took a seat opposite Meadow and sighed, "Why don't we start over my name is Heather what's your name?" She asked.
Meadow was a little surprised by this sudden change in demeanor but it was not unwelcome, "My name is Meadow." She said trying to take on a more nice tone. She took a sip of her drink and then as if struck by lightning she had a devious idea one she had picked up on through hours of online study into a certain thing called hypnosis.
"Heather, why exactly were you so cross with me just now? Other than I was in your seat is there something else?" While she spoke Meadow began to make small circles on the table with her pointer finger shiny purple nail polish flashed and danced with the light as she did so.
"Does it really matter?" The attitude was back and Heather seemed to tense up again looking mean and ready to start making demands again.
"Well, it does to me... I like to know things. It always interests me why people act the way they do. Were you upset because I interrupted your routine or perhaps was it because you think you deserve to sit in what you have deemed your spot?" As she spoke Meadow was happy to see that every so often Heather's eyes would dart down to watch her circling finger only to return to Meadow's deep blue eyes.
"Well... I don't know... You could just like... Have moved I didn't think you would make a big deal out of it." Heather now seemed a little bit more on edge clearly she didn't like being analyzed.
